Underwhelming! I'm from NYC and I was told this was the Southern equivalent of White Castle. I figured I would give it a shot and was disappointed with the service and food. I stood online for over five minutes and was totally ignored-- finally someone comes to the counter and said was I ordering? I'm like what? No, I've been standing here for my health. I ordered a number one (four cheeseburgers and fries) it's freezing down here and I wanted a coffee instead of a soft drink--which seemed to have confused her. I get the burgers and instantly go to remove the pickles and notice they put mustard on burgers-- I'm all sorts of confused. Maybe it's a Krystal thing, maybe it's a Southern thing, but typically, we only put ketchup! The burgers are somewhat similar to White Castle, but not the same taste. The fries were subpar, as well. We had such a great family meal here it was our first time at a Krystal, we are from Germany, California, and Las Vegas in town for a family reunion and this was a perfect meeting point after our flights. I have never gone through a Krystal drive through before, I order a number 4 meal, and order bacon on the Krystal burgers and staff tells me I'm receiving fresh bacon. I eat the food, and every bite makes my stomach feel worse. When you pay for your food, and can't eat 75% of your food without undergoing pain. Is it worth it? I have been to this location several times. As I'm a trucker, I stop often to eat. Not many places I can stop at this time of the morning. Whenever I go to this location, sometimes they are open but I would say 70% of the time they tell me they are closed, there's something wrong with the register....sometimes they tell you they only doing door dash deliveries, like they did this morning...which seems like crap, because this area isn't exactly booming at this time of early morning during a weekday. It feels like the employees just dont want to work so they tell people they are closed or only doing door dash deliveries. Every time I go through the drive thru, I get this. Judging from the Google and yelp reviews, I'm not only person bothered by this lazy behavior. I haven't had this locations food in almost a year because every time I pull up I'm turned away. There's no way this location isn't losing money turning down customers during the weekday for door dash (DD) deliveries which everyone knows is more expensive. I would never use DD for Krystal. My meal would then me 2Xs or 3Xs the regular price. Which I'm betting those employees are counting on. Getting paid to tell customers they closed. This is supposed to be a business. If employees aren't gonna serve those wanting to give you their money, then what's the point of being open this late/early. Close and reopen at a later time. That way employees won't have to constantly turn money away in the drive thru. I work for a trucking company up the street from that location, I know about half a dozen ppl that have the same complaints as I do as we all work early morning shifts. That's money this location didn't want. I don't understand. If what employees have said is true, then it need to be probably advertised which hours you are accepting business and when only door dash deliveries are accepted. I saw no signs anywhere saying this. Every time I'm turned down, it's through the drive thru speaker. Absolutely the worst customer service ever. Two employees asleep at a table as I walk in. Restaurant is empty & FILTHY! Go to counter and there's no one in sight. I look around the corner at the drive through area and one female (Manager?) is leaned over the counter and texting on her cell phone. Hello? Nothing. Hello? She looks over and gives me a facial expression to let me know my presence annoys her. Walks up to the cash register and just stands there. No greeting, hello, may I take your order...nothing. I give my order, pay and get my change & drink. She yells over to wake one of the sleeping employees so he can come make my food. Nasty dreadlocks, that appear filthy an no hair net. Goes to the grill area, does not wash his hands and begins preparing my food order. I would have stopped them right there and gotten a refund, but I don't eat Krystal food for these very reasons. I only buy a few plain Krystal's for my dog. She yells out "order"! and tosses my bagged order on the counter and immediately walks away, back to her cell phone. Long story short.... I ain't had Krystals let alone fast food since like 2019 but we was realllly hungry leaving a lil function round this way... anywho.. Me and my entourage arrived here a little after 1am on a Sunday night ... it was 3 cars ahead of us in line at the drive thru... I'm a germaphobe but the place looked clean and well kept as far as the lawn and clear windows. The menu board well lit up and the line moved pretty fast with ordering! Mannn the food was very good! Fries was FRESH AF!! the burgers were extremely good: Buns was moist n chewy and the cheese was cheesing with the hints of mustard and grilled onions! Mannn I forgot how good Krystal's really is. THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!! The wait was forrrrrrreeeevvvvveeeerrrrrrrr!!!! One guy who went through the drive thru came in and said he had been waiting 20 min for a corn dog. They held up his entire order and then basically forgot about him sitting where they told him to pull up and they would "bring it out". We waiting nearly 17 min and we dined in. The gentleman who was on the phone was very rude and not willing to help. He had told me he doesn't see it but my card was charged for it. Be careful at this Krystal's I went there on the evening 11/26 and paid with my order with my debit card. I thought it was very odd that the person at the drive through held my card for so long and tried to throw me off by making jokes about the price of my order. It rang up to 1996. The drive thru person joked asking me about that particular year all the while they were skimming my card. On the 28th I got a fraud alert from my bank where they were trying to purchase items from Temu.com. The reason why I am certain it was them because it's the only place where I have given anyone my card in a very long time. I usually order through online apps or contactless credit card devices myself. Just this once I footlessly decided to hand my card to a common thief and they tried to take advantage of me. They have the worst customer service ever. The staff always have an attitude. I have witness staff using profanity to a coworker, because a customer told them they were giving the wrong order. She didn't even care if other customers were standing there. I hardly ever go there, but when I do I always get the same awful customer service. Then gets an attitude and rushes me like I'm bothering her. You decided to work there so calm down. Then I get my food and after I specifically said no onions they put onions on it. I went to Krystal around 10:00am to order a Senior Breakfast. The person taking the orders was very slow and rude. She was busy correcting orders ahead of us which even took longer. She was also on her cell phone constantly which slowed things down. When I ordered the Senior Breakfast, I was to "we don't have grits". I asked if I could substitute hash browns and was told "yea, I guess so". When she asked for my money I saw sausage on the order and asked if I could have bacon instead (which you are usually given a choice). I also asked for my egg to be fried over medium. I asked for orange juice instead of coffee (which is usually a choice). I paid for the breakfast and she handed me my change saying "heah" then walked off. She didn't give me an oj from the barrel on the counter as she did others in front of me. I took my orange juice and sat down. When my order was finally brought out it had sausage and scrambled egg, which I didn't order, as well as grits which I was told they were out of. When I tried explaining to her that I didn't order this she was busy talking on her cell phone and walked of. I took the breakfast to the counter to explain that this wasn't what I ordered she told me that she must have given my breakfast to someone else. I didn't want to wait any longer so I just ate what I was given; while watching other people have their orders screwed up. As I was leaving more people that was in line left . I understand that Krystal is a fast food establishment and not a restraint and can be slow at times, but the "Lead Salesperson" should not spent more time talking on the cell phone than taking orders and rudeness is unacceptable.
