The value is great for the made to order milkshakes!! The kids and I love them. The service is slow so don't stop here if you don't have the time. I don't like going inside , the crowd is not "family friendly " I always get my families food to go. The onion rings are REAL no minced onions here! I loves them with the cajole season! They will Add it to any item for free but you have to ask for it. . The foods is always hot and fresh. The value of what you get for the cost is great! . The food here is awesome, the prices are fan-freaking-tastic, and the ladies behind the counter are amazing. I really don't know how this place gets 3 stars when it clearly deserves more. Cheap Eats! This is my first visit to this location and my 2nd to the chain. I had the cookout "tray" with 2 Chili Cheese Hot Dogs, Fries, Onion Rings, and a Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Shake. I wasn't a big fan of the cheez whiz on the dogs but the fact that the hot dogs tasted like they were right off a charcoal grill made it not so bad (hence the name "Cook Put". All of my food was piping hot which is always a perk for me! I was expecting my shake to be more flavorful but it wasn't. I was shocked that I didn't finish it. Maybe I should have stuck with Oreo as I've tried before. Overall I will more than likely dine here again. I'd pick this over McDonalds any day! ( I don't eat there!!!!) Be prepared for a long line. The place is aaiiight, the parking is jam, mixed in with the drive thru so hungry folks can get a little ill-tempered when traffic gets going. While you are in the drive thru you are approached with a menu so be ready when arrived to the speakerbox, they get you in and out. For the menu there is a super wide choice of foods, the cookout tray starts with a burger, Chicken ect, 2 sides, finished with a milkshake upgrade. Note you would think with 2 sides would be a bundle but the onion ring choice is just 3 peices, no complaints, this place would be the perfect stoner meal. The burgers are wrapped in aluminum foil which makes everything extremely soggy especially when tomatoes are inside. The burger are charbroiled, the only downfall I would say for my own preference - the cheese whiz on all of the items, not a fan for but some like it. I beleive this spot is overrated kinda the talk of the town just like how Sonics went. I have to say that there milkshakes are delicious with an extreme wide selection of flavors, I had the strawberry cheesecake and damm it wad good, a heavy meal I would say. I wouldn't go here daily, you may have a heart attack at an early age. Service was good, very polite at the drive thru and nice. The folks out managing traffic were nice as well, give then some patience I can see they were doing there best. Cook-Out: small line at the drive-thru and I've heard its always packed hmmm.. I got the cook-out tray - Burger, fries, onion rings and a lrg Coke for $5.45. This is a great meal for a parent(s) who needs to feed a kid or two, they will definitely be full and maybe even have some left over for the next night. The options for the two sides that come with the meal are a wide variety. Give it 3 stars because overall, the flavor of the burger was just blah; ZERO seasoning. Fries good, onion rings ok... I have never been as disappointed in food as I am with this order. My milk shake is so thick it can't even be drank and my hotdogs are really just shriveled pieces of charcoal at this point. After visiting this cookout I have realized I will NEVER be back. We waited in the drive thru for 45 minutes. FORTY FIVE MINUTES. For fast food?? Then once we got to the window the cashier gave me a ride look, then closed the window and proceeded to talk about me while the other workers stared. Customer service is key in the food industry but this location seems to not know this fact of business success. We've been twice and received incorrect orders both times. The first time a burger was missing the requested grilled onions and the other missing cheese. The second trip we did not receive any of our side orders. Arrived all the way home called the restaurant and were given the option to drive all the way back for our sides. How nice of them to offer we spend more gas and let the food get cold while we return to get the side items we should've received to begin with. Not happening. Cook Out is very affordable. It's not the most nutritious food on the planet. I've eaten Cook Out about 6 times now. The first 4 times I loved it. Great food at great prices. My burger was good but my peanut butter milkshake was amazing! I read some not so great reviews about the fries but I really liked them and the onion rings. The coleslaw and hush puppies were okay but I think I'll try different sides next time and there definitely will be a next time! The customer service was good, very friendly employees. The food is just "okay"....It's open late so it's convenient when nothing else is open (i.e starving or drunk). The parking is horrible. The traffic is ridiculous. You get stuck in the drive thru and once ur in line it's a one way so you can't get out. I have been stuck in the drive thru with only 8 cars in front of me for over an hour. A 30 to 45 minute wait in the drive thru on the weekend is the norm. I gave the place 2 stars because the amount of food you get for $5. You get a chicken sandwich or hamburger + 2 sides. And sides can consiat of fries, onion rings, chicken wraps, corn dogs, hush puppies, quesadillas, n more. Not bad for the price. So maybe it's my experience every time I go, but they always seem to forget something. Literally, every single time.
