For fast food this place is very good and and comparatively a good value. I got a basic burger with onion rings and chicken nuggets. Nuggets were a bit over cooked but edible. Burger was excellent. Just enough meat, onions, lettuce and pickles. A little sloppy but that makes a good burger in my opinion. Onions rings were super fresh and hot had to let them cool a bit. Ate some of my friend's fries which were also very good. And tried his peach shake yum. Service was friendly she was helpful and tolerant because we were clueless about the menu. Cook out is my go to fast food restaurant however I have never felt a need to leave a review for a fast food restaurant, but this cook out deserves a review. Keep in mind my review is based on the particular tray I get. When I go to cookout I get a cookout tray with two quesadillas and a side of cheese bites. Considering it's fast food I have had to get used to burnt chicken in my quesadilla, but at this particular cookout they cook the chicken perfectly and also put a nice portion of the quesadilla sauce (without you having to ask for it). This is my favorite cookout to order from because of the quality of food they serve. They also put a decent amount of cheese bites in a tray when you order double cheese bites. Me and a few of the family stopped in for dinner, its drive thru, call in or walk up. No inside dining. Their menu is big but only posted on the side of building. Chicken nuggets, French fries, white cheddar cheese curds, onion rings (needing salt), chili( no-beans), pulled pork (very chunky), big double cheese burger (regular), big double burger steak style, and chard bacon cheddar cheese burger. They just opened the restaurant. The food was good. If I pass through here again, I will give it another go. The steak style burger has A-1 steak sauce and grilled onions. Lettuce, and tomatoes. Cheap, decent, and quick fast food place. I got a Cook Out Tray because it looked like a good deal. For $4.99, I got one regular hamburger (with some modifications), a serving of fries, and a side of hushpuppies (basically small deep-fried balls of cornbread batter). It was a large meal for less than five dollars. The hamburger patty was the best part, it was juicy and flavorful. You can tell it was fresh of the grill. The sides were warm and tasty as well. I also got an Oreo Mint milkshake, which was pretty much ice cream because it was frozen. The restaurant itself is a little dirty. The tables weren't that clean, and it was smoky near the restrooms. We left pretty quickly. However, service was pretty good, they were courteous and prompt with our orders. read more

Especially, because they consider CHICKEN NUGGETS a side! I was all like "HELL YEAH...OK"! So I had fries and NUGGETS as my 2 sides and a drink. Again, food came out quick, filled my cup, went to a table, sat down, and opened my container... ...my burger was wrapped up tight in some aluminum foil. This does NOT help with presentation at ALL. Lol, My burger bun was smushed to hell. I peeled the top back on that thang....and to my disgust...CHEESE WHIZ!! THEY PUT CHEESE WIZ ON THEIR BURGERS!!! So I takes a bite....Lol! ...and the meat tastes EXACTLY like being at somebody's COOKOUT, that had those disgusting FROZEN BURGERS straight out the frozen aisle, stacked in the plastic bag, with a piece of paper separating them at ALDI or KROGER!! Two stars for the newest building on Panola Road! I had high hopes for this place I really did... Don't believe the hype!!! My first trip: I wanted a Vanilla shake so I went and got one. It was pretty good. Took a look at the menu (lots of options) and decided the food was worth a try and went back. Second trip: The building and design is very nice. Helps spruce up the area a little bit. I'm not a fan of any drive thru with no thru traffic. If you get in line or change your mind, you're stuck there so get over it. I figured since they're known for hamburgers that I should order that with fries. Service was fast and they got my order right on the first try (which doesn't happen often) and the prices are really inexpensive for the amount of food you get. The burger was ok, better than most fast food places but those fries were gross! Probably the worst I've had. Tasted like a freezer, and super dry. To top it off, on my way out there was a female employee sweeping off the table tops with a broom! The same one she had just swept the floor with! YUCK! I don't know how I feel about Cook Out. On one hand, how can you go wrong with FRYING damn near everything on the menu? On the other hand, HOW can you fry damn near everything on the menu??! Note: drive-thru line spills out onto the street, but lines inside are pretty short. I know you're shocked. I ordered the Big Double Burger combo w/2 sides and a drink for $4.99 to go. Sounds normal enough, right?? But the "sides" are anything but; options include chicken wraps, quesadillas, and corn dogs! I chose hush puppies and a corn dog because why not? For my drink, I had the Huge Sweet Tea, which is big enough to share between 2 people. Note x2: the Big Double Burger uses 2 thin burger patties, whereas the regular burger uses 1 regular patty, so they're pretty much the same size. My food was prepared quickly and I was out the door. When I got home and opened up my food, I saw that the freshly fried hush puppies had melted the styrofoam container holding the food. Disgusting!!! Thumbs down!!! By far the worst Cook Out we've ever visited, all three orders were incorrect, the burgers were completely dried out with stale bread from sitting under heat lamps for too long and the sides were incorrect. OMG!!!!! I love the food here, but they service is amazing. The cashiers at the front are always so helpful and happy. They're pretty patient because my sons always act like we've never eaten here and take forever to order. The milkshakes are the best! The food portions are good and the price is even better. The get you in and out too. Great place to eat. My sons always get the $5 meal with one entree and two sides; their choice. They just enjoy it. We live near here so it's really convenient. If you are craving cookout food on the go for a super duper affordable price ? Then this is your place. Now I will say this is your typical Hood Eatery but I love it. Nothing is over $5 individually. If you have a chance try the cherry wine soda get light ice it is very good. I highly suggest any shake they are bomb. I love the strawberry shake you really don't need a straw cuz it's so thick and creamy that you can just eat it with a spoon. I love that the hot dogs are charred and have a good grilled smoked cookout flavor. Add mustard you get two for the price of one. The barbecue pulled pork is amazing I normally hate pulled pork but this is like some chopped good lean pulled pork meat. Very affordable cheap eats. Went back twice in one day. Long lines but worth the wait. hands down good Hood Eatery in Georgia. I'm a fan. Having never heard of this chain before, my curiosity was piqued. I saw that some people compared it to five guys, FALSE. This wants to be 5 guys when it grows up, and yet tragically, it never will. I tried their signature burger, dog and chili cheese fries. Burger was burnt and hard, with the cheapest Walmart buns available. Hot dog was average and the chili cheese fries were an abhorrent, facsimile of what chili cheese fries should be. It should also be noted, that the drive thru wait time was something like 25 minutes. I guess the only redeeming quality is that it is open late, and if you're drunk off your ass, you probably won't notice the horrible quality of food. I understand it is a fast food restaurant and I also take into consideration the part of town the restaurant is located on, but there is no reason to get disrespectful or catch an attitude with a customer. Literally between each order I placed she was constantly asking "anything else, anything else". She did not repeat the order at all, which is how she left off one of my hot dogs. After I was given my order and noticed the mistake, I told her I ordered two but she only charged for one. She then went on to nastily advise me that I would have get out of the drive thru abs out of the car to stand in pickup window line, because she can't add anything at the window, which is a lie.
