Over the past three or four visits, my food has been consistently overcooked to the point of being inedible. On my latest visit, I ordered a Cajun chicken sandwich tray with two chicken quesadillas, barbecue sauce, and a Coke with light ice. The Cajun chicken sandwich was burnt and lacked any seasoning, making it difficult to bite through. The chicken quesadillas were charred on the outside, masking any flavor and making them unpalatable. Additionally, I did not receive the barbecue sauce, and my drink, which I requested with light ice, was inexplicably hot. Moreover, the service was subpar. Despite waiting in line for ten minutes, no staff member attended to the customers at the window. Frustrated, I discarded my meal and left. This experience, which cost me nearly $10, was thoroughly unacceptable. I regret to say that I will not be returning to ANY Cook Out location. I have never experienced worse customer service than at the Cook Out on 4333 Sunset Rd, Charlotte, NC. Every single time I go, the staff is rude, rushed, and completely careless about getting orders right. They act like customers are an inconvenience, rushing people through the drive-thru only to mess up the order and leave you with food you didn't even ask for. It's clear that customer service is not a priority here--there's no courtesy, no patience, and absolutely no accountability for their mistakes. If you ask a question or try to clarify your order, you're met with attitude and eye-rolling, as if expecting basic competence is too much to ask. Whenever I am in the Charlotte city limits it is a must that I find a Cookout. I love cookout and although I've moved away, it is still a staple. This location is pretty new. The staff was super fast and friendly. My food was hot and made to order. The line wasn't long and I'm glad they have the two drive in lanes. After wait a hour when I got up to the menu I had to wait another 15 minutes just for the person to say how can I help you. She never said can you hold for a sec or anything. My first time and last going here so I asked what the Barbecue platter had on it the choice of meat, the lady taking the order said what you see on the menu.
