As he was leaving he told me that he was going to charge me an hour and half in LABOR rate for his time because he had to travel from Wareham to Rochester, a 15 min drive one way. The labor charge was $88.33 per hour. I know he needs to make a profit for his skill and time and I would have gladly paid a reasonable travel charge but I think its gouging to charge a customer a 1.5 hours of labor rate for travel, when the job was completed in 20 minutes.
