REVIEW for Chet's Plumbing & Heating (Marion, MA)…read more There are many professional plumbers in this area. I thought that Chet's would be one of them. Boy, was I wrong. I live in the country with a deep well away from the house and a bladder tank inside. On last Sunday 7/7/19 night the system went down and I had no water. I called Chet on Monday morning and found he was in. I relayed the problem and he said he was busy but would be here asap. He send 2 crew guys ti look at my problem and they told me what to move so they could but a hole in the floor. to to where they THOUGHT the problem might be. NO ONE called me back and I left 4 calls with the answering service. DO NOT call this company. They are irresponsible and not to be trusted to help take care of any plumbing problem. I am spending my 4th night in a local motel because I have NO WATER to flush, shower, or cook! I finally found a 'Country Plumber' to come in tomorrow and fix the problem.

The prices they quoted for a 1/2 and 3/4 hp InSinkErator was so high that I called ISE and found out that they are not authorized dealers and the price was much higher than it should be and we should find another plumber.

I was told that because my system was outdated, repairs would be difficult or impossible. Crystal right out said that's not true and the electrical panel could be replaced, connected me with an electrician and resolved my issue. Her husband Levin came to check the system. Everything is now working perfectly. I highly recommend this company. They're wee upfront and honest.

Title: Outrageous Pricing, 4 Hours Late, and Refused to Give an Itemized Bill…read more Review: Roto-Rooter showed up 4 hours late, barely communicated, and then charged us $557 for a simple 30-minute drain snake. No repairs, no parts, no camera, nothing--just a basic unclog. When we asked for an itemized bill, they told us they "couldn't do that because big companies like them don't give itemized invoices." That is absolutely unacceptable. Any reputable company can break down charges, and refusing to do so feels intentionally misleading. The technician was fine, but the company's pricing and transparency practices are not. We won't be calling them again, and I highly recommend going with a local plumber instead.

I had a fantastic experience with Soares Plumbing & HVAC Services and wanted to give a shoutout to…read moreJohn, who went above and beyond. I originally called to get a hot water recirculation line installed so I could finally have instant hot water at my kitchen sink. During his inspection, John noticed corrosion on my cast iron pipes that was causing a leak whenever I flushed the first floor toilet. What impressed me most is that several plumbers had looked at my place before and none of them caught it. He flagged it right away and explained everything clearly. He then quoted me a very fair price for the labor, a new toilet, and installation, and was able to schedule everything within the week. When the toilet arrived, he noticed a small blemish and told me he wouldn't install it because it didn't meet his standards and he told me not to pay until it was done right. That level of integrity is rare. When he came back with the replacement, he discovered the previous homeowner had done some questionable work with the flooring and the toilet had been sitting at an angle. Instead of just reinstalling it the same way, John took the extra time to properly level and seat it flush with the floor, which clearly took extra effort and skill. John is a true perfectionist, incredibly personable, and you can tell this is a family business that really cares about doing things the right way. The pricing was very fair and the quality of work was outstanding. Highly recommend.
