The Park itself is situated next to the Skywheel, just off Ocean Boulevard, located at the end of 10th Avenue in Downtown Myrtle Beach. Plyler Park is also home to some of the most sensational concerts as well as kids' shows throughout the year. You can also enjoy the stunning fireworks displays that often occur at the park. There are a number of attractions nearby that you can enjoy too. Take a ride on the gigantic Myrtle Beach Skywheel, one of the largest Ferris wheels at the Family Kingdom Amusement, or take a break from the sun at Splashes Water Park, which is located within a short stroll from Plyler Park itself.

Bungee, speed boats, zip line, rollercoaster, small rides, tons of bars/eateries and a Ferris wheel plus it's all on the ocean! There are a variety of shops selling the usual fare of souvenirs, tshirts and shot glasses....but it's a nice walkable area and and couldn't help but notice how clean the boardwalk area and strip was. There was even a Starbucks. lol In all, I truly enjoyed my time here and definitely recommend as a stop when visiting Myrtle Beach.

It was on my bucket list for 5 years and I finally made it :) The walk to the mailbox from the 40th street was surely not a short one, roughly 3 miles to & fro but was worth it every minute. I went on a chilly December morning, so wasn't surrounded by a lot of folks which I sort of liked as it gave me some alone time with my thoughts. The abundance of shells everywhere on the sand made me a child once again, making me happily collect a whole lot of them as souvenirs. Finally the mailbox - Reading through countless pages of beautifully penned words by people who were there before me, gave me an undescribable connect to them. So many emotions - happiness, grief, thankfulness, separation among others. When I think about that spot, I could still hear the sounds of the waves crashing and a light, cool breeze blowing. It's a memory I'll cherish for years to come. You need to visit it at least once in your lifetime. It is definitely something being there. Note: Parking is very tight so try going early. Inside the mailbox you will find notebooks where you can write your own personal message. A message of your own can be whatever you like. A must see and do in my book. Facing the Sunset Beach Pier walk right about a mile or so. Walking the beach on the right high up on dune you will see a small hill of sand leading to the mailbox and a couple benches. Keep walking! You will find it.

We felt like we had plenty of space on the beach away from others. The waves were really rolling. Did not see any lifeguards out at the area where we were. Though they must be there as we did see a few rescue trucks drive by while we were out playing on the water. The water was a little cold upon first touch but felt good after getting acclimated to it. Each time it's different because they discuss what's happening on the river at the time you're there. This visit we've seen lots of alligators, including a baby, yellow, bellied slider turtles, lots of osprey, starting to raise their young and some beautiful plant life as well as the lore that goes with both the ICW, the rivers and all that goes on there. We always take visitors here. However, it's a place for locals to go over and over again. It's one of my favorite ways to relax and spend some time on the water. We decided on the yellow and blue trail in waccamaw wildlife refuge. Reviews i had read from other sources stated that they had seen lots of wildlife over off this trail. The trail was pretty secluded and felt set back away from everything. There were so many trees! Absolutely loved it! We walked on a blanket of pine needles for a good chunk of the trail and then on a boardwalk for part of the trail. Saw lots of spider webs, some caterpillars, lots of lizards, some birds, and then a squirrel. The trail was quiet on a friday morning, we only saw a handful of people. It was a lovely stroll in nature and one of the highlights of the trip. It definitely made me want to come back to south carolina to come and explore with some friends and really go and see more of the beauty!

I am from the jersey area and we have point pleasant beach & boardwalk, ashbury, wildwood, Seaside heights, and ofcourse Atlantic city... so might be I was expecting it more - so it was just okay for me. After 2 blocks, I was like where is the rest of the boardwalk? But then it was all Promenade. The Boardwalk starts at the 14th Avenue North pier and winds down through Plyler Park to the 2nd Avenue Pier. There are also several arcades located on the boardwalk, such as Family Kingdom Amusement Park. Myrtle Beach Boardwalk & Promenade is not your average boardwalk. Instead of just a straight wooden street meandering along the oceanfront, you'll find separate sections with their own character, just waiting to immerse you in coastal fun.
