This railway station has not been in public service since the 1950's I was told but the building still stands and on the nearby rails stand both a decommissioned box car and caboose. Neither of these is open for public exploration inside but the train depot building itself is. Inside the small facility are numerous photographs from across the stations history and a few related relics. There is a time capsule as well which was sealed in May of 2004 and is set to be opened in May of 2054. In the rear of the station which probably originally served as the waiting room area and some office space is a publicly accessible room but I did not go into it as there was a family function happening at the time. My guess is that they rent this room out and let people bring in catered fare. You can stand on the place where the platform used to let passengers on and off but mind your step and the same can be said for the tracks. The two cars can be posed in front of by I discourage climbing on them as all for the sake of your own safety. I was glad we chanced upon this since the photos will make for good blogging and Instagram material.

We wanted to write a review on the Hotel, Residence Inn, Charleston Historic District/Hotel Bella…read moreGrace. We wanted to go to Charleston, South Carolina to visit. We used Marriott points for the room, two nights stay..we checked in Friday night, late after a long flight to South Carolina from California. The girl Ann at the front dest checked us in at midnight. She seemed very nice but was not trained well. She said we needed a credit card for incidental while we are at their hotel. She then said our card did not go though(which was incorrect) then she continued swiping other cards equaling up to 2,000 of charges. I then asked her, since the room is paid for can't we figure this out or give you cash instead. She said no that something was wrong with our cards. Something was wrong with their system but made us feel that it was our cards or banks. We realized when I called my bank, they told me to have her stop swiping because it continuing is taking money out of your account. The girl was unprofessional along with these charges are still pending, in other words we don't have access to amount a 1,000 in my account after a week. These pending charges still have not dropped off like they said they would with all of our banks. All of this is unacceptable at every level. They apologized but after we have called continually and emailed regarding this matter they did not respond. The hotel is a beautiful, new hotel, along with the building next door is where you have breakfast along with a bar. The hotel is beautiful, they just need a more well trained staff at the front dest and beyond. We are loyal Marriott hotel guest and we were not treated well at all. These charges should not STILL be on our account and should be fixed immediately. In writing a review you can use your own judgement staying here. I just would not want anyone else to have all their money pulled out in the beginning of a vacation and they have no access to it until they get home or a week to 10 later. We went there on points and ended up with out access to almost 2,000. Not OK!

While outside a guest casually tells us she is on day two of her quarantine from Covid-19 Coronavirus. Now we were exposed to the Virus. We Immediately And Repeatedly called, texted And Emailed the tour operator Personally And Directly to let him know about the emergency and then self isolated at the resort as per CDC guidelines and local protocols. We would and could Never intentionally put others at risk! * Unfortunately he NEVER, EVER responded! * To date, 2 Months Later, we still have NEVER heard from the tour operator. Needless to say, we Never received a refund! Considering the operator had contacted us several times Before there was a problem, we were very upset and disappointed in the silent Ghosted treatment. This Greedy, Pathetic individual Stole/Kept our money. Incredibly Poor And Unacceptable customer service, to say the least. Avoid this company at All Costs.
