This place perfectly personifies the spirit of Thomas, WV, and maybe even a little bit of Davis mixed in there too. The building is historic with tons of character, located right at the end of the loop as if you can't exit town without paying homage. The inside has soooo much character and is decorated perfectly in a mad hatter style. We often stop here for ice cream during our wanderings of Wild Wonderful West Virginia but have been known to get food from time to time as well. I would say that everything is honestly priced. They aren't trying to get rich and they aren't trying to rip off the community, just serve it and make a living and keep the doors open. The food is on the cheaper side and the quality matches. I don't think they're after any Michelin stars but more interested in just feeding the people. Service is on par with the attitude of the building and blended well. Just enough at just the right time. You might have to swap a few chairs from one table to the next to find the right combination for your party as I think all of the chairs in there are different. They also serve the community by hosting music, up to 300 events per year according to their website. That's one of the only times I skipped the fiddle when I was passing through was when they had a band with a cover and we just wanted food. We wanted to sit down and eat but were told we had to pay if we stayed but could take the food to go or outside without the entrance fee. The Vinoski Cabernet Sauvignon was quite delicious, nothing like the majority of wines served in Pennsylvania wineries with the notable exception of BellaTerra, which we also enjoy quite a lot. Vinoski has a beautiful patio and balcony for entertainment, you can reserve tables on the patio and outside food is welcome. We ended up purchasing four bottles of the Cabernet, two to take with us. The photos give a brief idea of the size of the crowd, but the hill sides were both packed. The music was outstanding, and the atmosphere perfect for a summer evening. This place is the exact opposite of narcissi, and that we felt very welcome. Highly recommend

Sweet Diamond and dry Riesling from Washington. The wine waitress should have said do the diamond last since it's sweet. We started to try the reds. The Merlot tasted like a traditional Merlot. Noiret was good. Old Vine Zinfandel was super dry and wasn't a fan of it. The Marquette is a wine that I do not sample often . It was fabulous. Aged in bourbon barrels for two years. She asked if I like bourbon and said yes. She said you will like this. She was right . Dry but a good taste towards the end. My two things that I dislike. The white wine isn't chilled. They provide you ice if you prefer. Ice waters up the wine and takes the taste away. The Marquette I purchased a bottle if and it's great. But it's $38 a bottle and around here that doesn't fly. Overall great place. I look forward to visiting in the upcoming months.

Walking in here, I was immediately surprised by how small and intimate this venue is. There are a few places to sit here, but it is mostly standing room only. No matter where you are, you are likely no more than 15 feet from the stage. Just a heads up -- there is a slight step when you enter into the venue, so step up and/or over it. I tripped on the slight angled step of the door and slightly stumbled into the venue. There are a lot of local acts that perform here -- many that I am not aware of, and so that may have been what kept me from coming here in the past. I happened to come here for a national act, Ondara, of whom I was actually surprised to see performing in such a small venue. I would definitely come back here again for the right performer/band. The acoustics are wonderful.
