Too loud. Not a restful night sleep. Not in a great area, streets and sidewalk are dirty, cars driving past making noise all night long.

I had to work in the lobby while they cleaned our room and the high tables made working easier. There is a fragrance in the lobby that irritates my allergies though. Front desk: service is hit or miss depending on who is working the front desk but all employees are professional. Arrival: we came by Uber and the staff is outside the car door ready to assist with luggage and whatever else you might have that needs to be unloaded. Bar: we received some drink vouchers. We ordered the free drink with passion fruit. Our bartender was a young man with curly hair and he made a great drink! Room: sleep quality is very good to excellent!! The hotel is always hopping and we were able to have a good night sleep. Only during our second night, did I briefly hear a neighbor slam a door, but other than that nothing. The door is very comfortable and large with plenty of seating and a nice balcony to see the ocean. We were here on work so not having a desk made work challenging but the coach really helped with the large table. It worked perfect! Mini fridge, safe, and nice Nespresso coffee machine. The room is surface clean meaning it appears clean, but if you wear white socks, they will turn black. A/C: there are some quirky setting on the A/C. If you don't put it on recirculate, the room will get hot at night. WIFI: It is hit and miss. Day 1 i had to use my phone as a hotspot to connect to a work call. Day 2 the WIFI was strong for my conference calls. Front room: nice large coach with separate TV but the window was weird and not very private but the extra sliding door helped. Bathroom: excellent lightening and vent fan in the bathroom. Very spacious. Room service: Make sure to put the sign on your door or room service can take a very long time to get to your room. After breakfast I put out the sign and I was serviced quickly within 2 hours. The first day I forgot to put out the sign and the room was not serviced until after 5pm. Pools: there is a nice pool and beach access.

Review is based on a four night stay. Overall, I recommend La Concha. It's a Marriott affiliate with some personality and class. Arrival: Arrived by Uber. Helpful doormen and luggage attendants. Check in: Overall good check in process. Marriott status acknowledged with a serious room upgrade to a suite. Room was not yet ready, and the receptionist gave us some free drink vouchers for the bar. Room (954): A spacious sweet. Living room included a colossal sectional, large TV, dresser, and breakfast table. The living room also included a Nespresso machine and a mini-refrigerator. Bedroom included a king bed with a bench and nightstands. One negative about this suite: lack of a desk. I was on business, and working from the sofa sectional got old fast. Bathroom: Excellent lighting. Spacious and clean shower. Bed: Decent but not great mattress. Sleep quality: Above average Patio: Nice patio with two chairs and a small table; really enjoyed drinking coffee on the patio watching the surf. WiFi: WiFi when it worked was generally fast. But I missed a video conference due to poor connectivity the day before we left. Housekeeping: Overall housekeeping was good, but the floors were not thoroughly cleaned before our arrival or during our stay. Pools and beach: Multiple pools to lounge by. Great poolside food and drink service. Nice beach (but it can be dangerous to swim at times) with typical seaweed issues. Staff: All of the hotel staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Great staff overall! Value: Overall good value Overall common area cleanliness: Excellent Misc Tips: (1) There are many decent restaurants within walking distance. (2) There's a large grocery store called SuperMax about 1 mile away. It's worth the Uber fare to stock up on everything from alcohol to snacks (including gifts to take home, such as Puerto Rican coffee for $2.95 / 8 ounce pack

Swimmable beach- Hidden Exit from adult pool with beach chairs and towel service up to 5pm. Just ask the pool attendant to show you how to get there. The beach right in front of the hotel is rocky with choppy waters. My friend got bruised when swimming there. Pool attendants- Andliz and Alejandro gave excellent service and remembered my name (which is not an easy one) on day 2. Gym- a little hidden to the left of the main pool above the spa with a large variety of equipments overlooking the ocean. Great spot to get a workout on rainy days. Dining Ola restaurant- great for breakfast. Liza the hostess always had a smile on her face and remembered my name. Server Israel was very fast compared to others and friendly. Tacos and tequila- service by adult pool. The jalapeño margaritas were delicious. VC lounge- Anthony customized drinks to my liking. Main Lounge was a good area to hang out during rainy days with live performances on certain nights. Room- amazing views from the ocean tower room. Well appointed with a full bar with alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages as well as snacks that are replenished daily. House keeping did a good job cleaning daily. Three-star quality at five-star prices…read more Be sure to read the fine print when making a reservation. This hotel runs a "20% hotel tariff" scam that gets tacked onto the bill. The only logical explanation is that this policy makes the room prices appear to cost about $200 a night less than the real charges. Otherwise, why not just raise the advertised price by 20%? There is no doubt the property is in a gorgeous location, sitting directly on the ocean. The buildings are in good condition and the staff is courteous. But, I experienced several shortfalls compared to my expectations for this price point. The suites are provided a "butler," but the available hours are 10am to 6pm. The service would be more accurately described as a concierge. Bringing coffee in the morning is not on the list of duties, nor assisting with unpacking or packing or other typical butler activities. Sending out laundry the day before my departure, I asked to have it folded so it would be easier to pack. Everything came back on hangers. My room did not receive turn-down service and fresh towels during the third night of my stay. I asked to have a car booked to the airport from the hotel. The butler got it backwards and booked it from the airport to the hotel. Good thing that I took a close look at the confirmation and noticed the routing was backwards. The breakfast restaurant, Ola, is extremely crowded in the morning with a 30 to 60 minute wait being typical in my experience. The front of the property is in a skeevy neighborhood so walking somewhere else for breakfast isn't a realistic option. It's not bad, but also not a top tier. property.

There's nowhere else I'd rather stay whenever I visit San Juan, PR! Hyatt House San Juan is that…read morerare mix of great value for money; excellent location; outstanding service; and big, comfortable, clean rooms and even "mini apartments." LOCATION: Less than a leisure 8-minute walk to everything the Distrito T-Mobile has to offer. Caribbean Cinemas with the latest U.S. blockbusters on offer (and $9.25/adult matinee tickets!); several local restaurants and bars with great selection and even better prices given its location in the San Juan Metro Area; and even full-size CASINOS (Casino Metro is 0.2 miles away and Casino Del Mar only 0.9 miles away; the nearby Sheraton also has a casino, only 0.2 miles away) and SPAS (Zen Spa being the closest). The hotel also offers a FREE SHUTTLE to Old San Juan and a nearby beach. Check their site or ask the front desk for its schedule. For anything else not within walking nor free-shuttle distance, Ubers are abundant and, quite honestly, pretty affordable! ROOMS: It's a Hyatt House, so these are the best. Lots of space, even in the basic den guestrooms that don't have a full kitchen (320 sq. ft. minimum!) -- they still have a good kitchenette. My room pictured here was in fact a King bed STUDIO kitchen suite, though. TRULY spacious (431 sq. ft.!). SERVICE: Norma at front desk is ALWAYS a rockstar. I was here on a different extended stay a couple of months ago and, when I reminded Norma that it was Grandma lady, she immediately asked how my grandma was doing and got so sad when I shared the news that she unfortunately passed soon after. Not only excellent customer service, but true empathy -- these people have hearts of gold. Speaking of great service: SAMUEL at the breakfast area is always such a sweetheart, making sure you have everything and anything you may need, even if you are a bit of a latecomer to breakfast. I had just checked in when they were starting to clean out breakfast items and he asked me if there's anything I needed that was in the back and brought me iced apple juice -- no questions asked and with a big smile on his face. I had been living through a heavy week of cancelations all over the world (lost nearly 4 vacay days) and Samuel has no idea what a big deal his "small" gesture was to me! ¡MUCHAS GRACIAS! FOOD: This is the only area where there's plenty of room for improvement. The scrambled eggs and potatoes offered in the breakfast buffet were really really dry, and no cheese to add -- so that was a big bummer. The oatmeal was on the runny side, but I like it that way. Definitely arrive early so you can enjoy the made-to-order omelet station, which is much better than what's offered outside. In short: MOST DEFINITELY stay here! This is my husband and I's home base whenever we're in town. 5*!

I do think the hotel has a shuttle there just not sure how close it gets. We did use shuttle to visit Old San Juan and it passed a beach stop too. So the hotel... we initially checked into a room on the third floor. While checking for bedbugs (no remnants seen) I noticed the side of the mattress had mold (see photo). We immediately went back downstairs and informed the front desk. They changed our room to the 6th floor and had room service go in and review the room and re-mop the floors before we came up. No issues were found in the new room. I will say the hotel breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast meals I've had. The potatoes were hot, fresh, and delicious. I had breakfast the second morning at the convention center and kept thinking I should have grabbed it at the hotel (their food was full of grease). We planned to use the pool more but maybe it was just me but it appeared to be more resort like online and was just a pool with kid area in person.

Usually hotels will have a small disposable bar soap or something. They had a tiny bottle of body wash which we used to wash out hands with. Our room didn't really have any windows lol... There were 2 windows that basically faced inside the hallway. The shower pressure was not all that great. Also, the walls are thin. We could basically hear everything from anywhere close. Our neighbors were pretty active at night. It was like in the movies. We felt like we were s silent foursome lmao... They were bumping, grinding and moaning... The sound was so clear as if we were in the room with them lmao... The pool upstairs is.... Not something I would even consider getting into. You have to wonder how often they even get a chance to service and clean the thing. It's more like an oversized soaking tub. The great thing about this hotel was its location. Everything we wanted to go see was within walking distance. Literally no more than 8mins away. Sadly, the day we were leaving I was persuaded by the guy at the front desk to allow him to get a taxi for me. There was a 3 day festival coming and he says Uber/Lyft won't be able to make it to us because they are clearing the street to get ready. However Uber showed someone can come take us to the airport for $9. Anyway, I let the guy call his taxi person. Got to the airport and I felt like I got ripped off. Charged me $40. That was a slap in the face. Why align your hotel with a shady taxi service??? For the money and location this honestly isn't a bad spot. We just needed a safe place to sleep close to where we wanted to walk to.

The shower pressure was not good whatsoever. Maybe it was my room in particular, but after unpacking, no one wants to go through the trouble of repacking and relocating. I contacted maintenance about the A/C and taking over 12 hr to cool down to 65-68°. They said from their side, everything is working as is. Odd response, especially for the fact that it seemed cooler in the hallway than it did in my room. For the entire stay, my room remained at 70° despite what I set the temperature at. Lastly, the F&B credit issue. I came downstairs for breakfast 2/3 days. The last day, I decided to order it to my room. To my surprise, I was charged for the final breakfast because I got it ordered to my room. This wasn't shared at time of check in--that your F&B credit will not be triggered if you order breakfast to your room. Other annoyances like coming downstairs for breakfast on the second day and being asked twice if I had the F&B credit and then having to go to the front desk for them to tell the cafe staff that I do have the credit...this was not okay. Also, the omelette station is supposed to be open until 11a. Everytime I came downstairs for breakfast, it was closed. When I asked for an omelette, the staff seemed like it was a hassle to get the worker to come and make the omelette even though it was during the time of availability. As a frequent customer of Hilton, I just expected a different experience, especially for my first time in San Juan.

Traveling with my son-in-law, Tyler, who uses a power wheelchair, requires significant planning, and this team made our experience both seamless and surprisingly affordable. The absolute highlight was Tyler accessing the ocean and the pool. The staff was proactive and highly trained in handling his equipment, ensuring safe and respectful transfers for the pool lifts. Thanks to the hotel's accessible equipment--specifically the floating beach chair, which was remarkably stable and easy for us to maneuver Tyler across the sand and into the protected bay that front's the hotel - he was able to get into the ocean for the first time in over 15 years. It was a life-changing memory our family will cherish forever. Once in the water, the experience continued to be fantastic; the pool and beach team consistently provided floats for Tyler so he could relax comfortably. We were also incredibly grateful that the team saved lounge chairs for our party of four each day, ensuring we never had to worry about finding seating. It was truly amazing service. Beyond the facilities, the location is ideal. The food recommendations provided by the concierge were not only excellent but located within easy, accessible "rolling" distance. The paths to these local dining spots were smooth, well-maintained, and free of challenging curbs, allowing us to enjoy San Juan without the stress of transit logistics. As a seasoned world traveler, I don't often see this level of genuine care. The staff's proactive attitude regarding accessibility makes this property stand out. We considered the San Juan Marriott Resort and the Courtyard by Marriott, but we felt the AC Hotel was in a better location for us. After visiting all three major Marriott properties during our trip, the AC is the quietest. If that is important to you, then it is worth considering. It was important to us, and we were happy that it was not overrun with guests, especially in the rooftop pool area. When our car service dropped us off around 10:00 p.m., there was no wait to check in. We walked straight to the front desk and got our room keys. The front desk staff were very friendly throughout our entire stay, and we appreciated that. When we checked in, I was a little surprised by the mandatory 45 dollar daily resort credit, called a destination fee, that was added to our bill each day. We were required to pay it, then spend it in the hotel at various locations, breakfast excluded. If we did not use the credit each day, it was lost. We felt this was an unnecessary burden, which limited our ability to support local businesses and reduced our options. Our room on the eighth floor was very spacious, and it had a living room, a bedroom, and a balcony with chairs. The room was great, but the thermostat had strict limits, so we were never able to adjust the air conditioning to our preferred temperature. It always felt warm in the room, which I assume was due to energy conservation controls. We had a partial ocean view, which was better than most partial views I have had at other hotels. The view was great for photos and videos, especially during sunset. You could also hear the waves crashing on the beach, even though the hotel is not located directly on the water. There are a lot of roosters roaming around the area near the property, so we got the unofficial 5:00 a.m. wake-up call from them. It was a little disruptive at first, but after a day or two, we were able to tune them out. I want to give a sincere shout out to the housekeeping service. It was outstanding. Every day, our housekeeper came before noon and left the room looking like we had just checked in. It was some of the best housekeeping I have experienced at a Marriott property, and it really added to our stay. We tipped well, because they truly deserved it. The rooftop pool was another highlight. It was usually busy, but never overwhelming. We went several times, and we always found a chair or a couch to relax on. The staff at the food and beverage counter were friendly and efficient, but there were no poolside servers. Most mornings, we ate breakfast at Sobao, which is located at the front of the hotel, and you enter from outside. The food was delicious, and the dining room was always full and lively. The service was great, but they have two different lines depending on what you want to order, which was a little confusing. Unfortunately, we did have one experience that was disappointing. On Thursday, April 30, we tried to have dinner at La Bodeguita, the main on site restaurant. It was 8:30 p.m., and even though there were open tables, we were told we had to sit at the bar. The bartender gave us water and menus, then never returned to take our order. We saw him waiting on tables, checking his phone, and standing around, but he never came back. We were dressed for fine dining, so we didn't understand what the issue was. After almost twenty minutes, we left and went up to the rooftop restaurant, Bar C Lona. It was crowded, and there was only one bartender serving everyone, but she was friendly and working hard. The food was great, and we were glad the evening turned around after the issue at La Bodeguita. Overall, we were incredibly happy with the location of the hotel, the room layout, the housekeeping, the front desk staff, the rooftop pool, and Sobao. We were less happy with the poor service at La Bodeguita, the mandatory destination fee, the rooster wake up calls, and the thermostat restrictions. We would not rule out another stay at the AC Hotel Condado, because the pros outweighed the cons, but next time we will probably try either the San Juan Marriott Resort or the Courtyard by Marriott Miramar, mainly for their direct beach access. This review is meant to provide honest feedback about our experience, both to help future guests and to highlight areas where the hotel could improve.
