Here is a list of issues we came across that completely ruined our trip: Friday The tire pressure sensor was on when I drove out and remained on throughout. I checked the tires myself for safety. The passenger seating area table in the back was not properly secured. While driving it the table popped off the base multiple times, exposing sharp screws. Once we arrived at the campsite, the ranger stated that the tags are expired (6/2026). The representative stated that the refrigerator would become cold in a few hours (1:00 pm). We loaded our food into the refrigerator, expecting it to cool (9:00 pm; it was still warm). The "janky" handle broke, making it extremely hard to open. (I cut my finger once trying to open it). Called customer service; the representative walked me through how to reset the refrigerator. It became somewhat cool overnight; however, a lot of our food was ruined. Sensors indicated we had full water, and black and gray were empty. Turned on the pump to use the water. Only used for urination; 3 hours into our trip, the toilet started to overflow. This essentially ruined our trip. The water leaked into the neighboring camper's site. (Luckily, it was pretty much fresh water). We now have no water for the toilet or sink. Saturday Called customer service again to see if someone could come and fix the toilet. I was told I have to take it to another dealer to resolve the issue or trade the vehicle. We were on limited vacation time. To cool the camper before sleep, we turned on the AC; it worked; however, it smelled. Upon visual inspection, I noticed the filter was extremely dirty. We turned it off because of campsite rules, and we were going to sleep. Beeping started coming from the fuse panel under the table and the freeze. I didn't know what to do. The freeze was flashing the service light. I turned off the propane immediately. The following is the most upsetting. My kids were asleep inside, and a terrible smell of propane, gas, and exhaust filled the camper. We woke the kids and took them out because this was extremely unsafe. We opened all the windows to get the smell out. Due to extreme safety concerns, we decided we had enough of this nightmare vacation and packed up at 11:00 pm., cutting our vacation short. While getting ready to leave, it took 30 minutes to get the table on the pole correctly because the screws were not aligned. This was the worst vacation we have ever had. The safety concerns were egregious. Essentially, we had a glorified tent on wheels.

When it wouldn't start, I called the toll-free number and was on hold for over an hour before anyone picked up. I followed every troubleshooting step the rep walked me through, but we couldn't get it working. The rep noted on my account that there was a problem with the generator and told me to speak with the front desk when I returned the RV. Without the generator, I had no A/C for the trip -- a serious problem for four days in an RV. When I returned it, the front desk had me stand by while they looked into it. The mechanic came in and confirmed there was a problem, telling me directly: "I did a master reset on the generator and it's working now." So the issue was real and acknowledged by their own staff. The woman at the front desk was pleasant and professional, but she said her hands were tied and there was nothing she could do. I pointed out that I'd paid for four full days of an RV that was supposed to function -- especially the A/C. Her only offer was a $100 credit toward buying an RV from them in the future. I was blown away -- and not in a good way. I paid for a working RV and didn't get one, and their idea of making it right was a discount contingent on giving them more of my money. How could I ever rent from them again? I won't.

He takes the time for the tour, gives tips, friendly and helpful in every way even under the immense heat and more obnoxious loads of questions. On the road: I never had an issue but if i had some concerns or forgot how to work something, Todd would always answer or call back shortly after. I felt safe knowing that the Van is very well maintained and that I had someone REALLY there if I needed it. The Pleasure Way Vans that are available are top of the line comfort for these camper vans, and it was really enjoyable to travel in it. A propane leak forced me to shut off the system mid-trip, which meant no refrigeration for my sister-in-law's insulin and three unplanned nights in hotels. I thought that would have been the hard part but turns out that was the easier part of our trip. When my dad returned the vehicle, the woman working the counter refused to even look at the paperwork, told him "that's not my problem," when he described the issues and wouldn't give me her name. When he started taking photos of the RV to document the return, she ran out, shouted profanity, and shoved HIM, then called 911 and told the dispatcher he was intoxicated and threatening her. None of that was true. Two Downey PD officers responded, and did not cite, arrest, or asked him to leave. In fact, they asked if he wanted to file a charge of assault. I later learned she is the actual owner of this Xpress Auto Rental location, not just an employee, which makes the behavior even harder to excuse, since there's no manager above her to hold this accountable. My dad is in his 70s and it was really hard to witness this business owner screaming, pushing and falsely claiming untrue things. Cruise America corporate reviewed my complaint and refunded the full amount we were owed, which tells you they took this seriously. I waited to review until the complaint was settled but if you are considering renting here, know that this is who you'll be dealing with, and does someone like that really deserve your money.
