Carlos Ramírez repaired an old Chippendale camel-back sofa whose solid hard woodbase had collapsed. I had purchased the antique sofa 40+ years ago at an auction in Miami. I wanted to save it. The work required was a combination of carpentry, upholstery & furniture restoration (removing & reinstalling all the springs). Carlos Ramírez responded to my email promptly. He was able to assess the work through a number of detailed photographs I sent (where I tried to explain what was wrong with the sofa.) Within 24 hours after submitting my request, we agreed to have the work done in my home. The work was completed as promised on time. After looking around online, I found Touch Up Teak and boy am I glad that I did! The office was very professional and got me an estimate very quickly. Their prices were reasonable and even better, they were able to get me scheduled quickly. Alex and Jonathon came out to my home, and began the process of stripping off the old finish and cleaning up all the pieces on day one. They were very neat and tidy with all processes and made sure that the dirt wasn't tracked into my home.The 2nd day they began to re stain the furniture with a marine grade stain that I supplied given I had some left over from the last time the pieces were worked on (they have options that they use on their website that you can review). Within 2.5 days, my furniture was back and looking brand new! They have an annual maintenance plan that I am going to sign up for to keep my investment looking great year after year and that's no small feat given this all sits outside in Florida weather.
