The work including full demolition, soundproof and tile install, 2 bathroom remodeling including tile work, niches, shower bench, ceiling framing in all rooms for lights, full wall work (smoothing, plastering and multi color painting), door frame and door installation, kitchen backsplash and cabinet work, and all final details. In our case, they were unable to obtain the permits and every time an inspector came, the work always required corrections, and they never managed to secure the final approvals. Naturally, we turned to a lawyer, who discovered that they inflate invoices and don't fully pay subcontractors, while still demanding full payment from us. The most outrageous thing is that they asked us to pay for the kitchen cabinets, which we did, but the cabinets were NEVER ordered! This company worked for us with the sole intention of starting our project and NEVER completing it. With excuses about permits and other shady reasons, they think they can drag things on indefinitely. But this will no longer be the case, because we are ready to take full legal action. For those who, like us, have had the misfortune of dealing with Salbo Construction, I urge you to contact us and join our effort to put an end to this disgraceful practice carried out by Salbo Construction Inc. Communication was just as frustrating. Partway through the project, Diego stopped responding entirely. I spent months calling and texting to try to resolve the situation and align on next steps. Eventually, someone claiming to be his assistant contacted me via WhatsApp to say he would not be calling me back. Sure enough they came in the morning and worked tirelessly all day and completed all four jobs, including smoothing a cement wall, changing an area of drywall, changing baseboards, painting, changed the fascia and reinstalling an outlet related to patching a hole in an exterior wall. We are completely blown away with the attention to detail and the quality of work. PLUS they cleaned up the whole mess and left the leftover supplies. We are so happy. We immediately asked them if they were available to do more smaller jobs around the house and they were nice enough to do a couple of them that same day for a very fair price. Plus they were just nice and easy to communicate with. I would hire them again in a heartbeat without reservation. They are worth every penny. They left debris all over our roof and painted over brand new stucco, which is actually supposed to cure and not be painted right away. The color that they used to paint. Our house was a dark gray over our light gray. We had a big L on the front of our house that looked awful when I reached out to the company about it they said well, it's not the same color so probably just best to paint the whole front of your house. My husband got up there himself with some matched paint from Sherwin-Williams and fixed it and cleaned all the debris off the roof. We will not be using this company again.
