Their sour dough bread is allowed to rise for 48 hours. All by itself, it was delicious but topped with all the toppings - oh YUM! We also ordered the grilled razor clams, suckling pig, a refreshing salad and without a doubt the best anchovies I've ever had. The texture was not like your typical anchovies. They were super fresh and kind of meaty served with lots of fresh olive oil. We finished the meal off with one of the top best steaks I've ever had. Grilled to perfection and seasoned with just course salt and a dash of pepper. It melted in your mouth. The staff was adorable. Our sweet waitress brought us an after dinner drink as a gift from her. It was similar to an Ouzo type taste but better.

We had their tasting menu, which included exceptional calamari, easily the best mussels I've ever eaten, and a steak cooked to absolute perfection. Walking away from the tourist areas, you know you can find yourself a little authentic suprise…read more A Tu Gusto is pretty tucked away from the main road. Entering here on a Thursday, was suprisingly quiet. Opening conversation to the waitress in English was a real adventure since... She didn't speak it. She asked me all these questions in Spanish and i couldn't reply to anyone them. Just to make sure i wasn't leaving too stuffed, i kept saying "no", except to the "uno mas cervaza?"-question The interior is quite modern for an authentic place but it's nice. Prices are fair for the area paying €2,25 for a beer. I started with the ensalada tapa which was suprisingly big and came with content i wasn't expecting such as pine and sundlower. At first my second dish was kind of dissappointing since i read "gambas" on the menu but it appeared to be baby shrimp. But flavor and taste makes it all up to it. For a tourist who doesn't mind the language barrier, this place is worth 5-stars but i know some people would discuss my opinion on this

The paella has a green sofrita instead of the red we're used to. It's very good. A bit "bean heavy". Our table was kinda sticky. Ugh. Next time, I'll go early and get a sea view table outside.

Eating at the beach in Valencia is a bit of a mess without reservations, even during off season…read more Despite the relative calmness in many central restaurants for lunch in February, attempting to get a bite beachside is quite a challenge. After being turned away by multiple restaurants, Luz de Luna kindly accepted us. The restaurant looks about the same as the rest of the beachside spots here. Very casual, with slightly distressed exterior design that certainly does not add anything positive to the general image of Valencia's brown sanded beach. But, when food rather than theater is the primary objective, it is actually the spot to be. Service was efficient and pleasant. There are quite a few gems on the menu aside from paellas. Cuttlefish bladders was an interesting dish to be shared. Calamari is excellent. Paella is very good, although for my personal preference the rice was a bit undercooked, it is only a matter of preference. All around, while I probably would not go out of my way for another meal at this establishment, it is an excellent choice in the area.

The mackerel with eggplant with soja and honey was delicious, a perfect surprising combination The caneloni of cooked meat with a mushroom sauce was nice. The mango panacota with vanilla was jummie!! The waiters were kind but they did not give a very good explanation about the dishes. I asked several waiters about the ingredients they used and they were not well informed about them. A pity because during restaurant week I think you should know your menu and explain to represent your restaurant.
