Dinner at ORIO València was a highlight of our trip to Spain, and one of the best meals I've experienced. Loved this restaurant. I had told my kids about tapas, and how the Spanish culture doesn't eat big dinners usually, so obviously I had to give them the experience. My kids are both pretty picky, but my younger son is worse and almost never eats anything. He did however eat all his tapas here. We had all sorts of basque tapas, all delicious. I absolutely loved the food and feel they had a tapa for everyone and all palettes. My favorite was a Spanish sausage (I don't believe it was a chorizo) on bread that got brought to my table. Usually you go pick up a pincho and put it on your plate, but similar to a Rodizio they bring things to your table and offer more each tapa is €2.80. I absolutely loved our server, she was very helpful and very nice to us at our table. Finally, I also absolutely loved the locale. It was dark, but the wooden tables and high chairs really set a warm comforting mood and I absolutely loved the lighting. read more

I found this to be th best place for authentic Spanish food in Valencia historic center, one of the few that serves food before 7pm. Orio and their sister restaurant nearby serve food from the Basque region of Spain, Pinxtos! Very much like tapas, these tasty bites are about 2.5EU each. It's self serve for the pinxtos, yet they offer a menu of entrees as well. Great food, great service, modern decor and a varied menu. Really recommend this place! read more

First time here, very nice design / decor for a casual spot. Tapas are great (sat at the bar - I think if you want something other than tapas you have to be seated at a table?). Staff was really wonderful - it was very crowded when we arrived but they had no problem accommodating the two of us. Excellent English (my Spanish is very rusty so this is always appreciated). A good, relaxing casual dinner. There were many families here also at the tables so don't think that tapas only for drunk single people! Will definitely come here on my next visit to Valencia. read more

Excellent Basque fare. Have tried many of the dishes before and must say the quality and attention to detail is worth the visit.. Morcilla, chipirones, tomato salad were out standing. The Txacolí was at another level. Try the Katxinña Txacolí. Friendly and professional service. read more

Pinxtos bar serving a variety of pinxtos for 2.10 euros each (a little steep, but seems about par, particularly given its proximity to the city center). The nice thing about this place is that they have servers who bring out newly made pinxtos that are warm (ie: sausage, etc), so you can get pretty fresh ingredients on some of them. The quality of the rest of the ones that had been sitting on the counter were about average. I ate a tuna one that I deeply regretted. Overall, kind of an average place. read more

A place just to hold you over till dinner, not for dining. There was a good selection of pinchos (essentially tapas but on bread), but I found it to be a but dry and the bread sometimes a bit tough. The dishes off the menu are better, but when just dropping in for a beer and some pinchos, it's just not up to par with some of the other venues in the same neighborhood. I also didn't find the house red wine that impressive. The venue itself is very nice. It's a clean place, well lit, adequate seating, it wraps around to two streets so good entrances and exits. Overall, perhaps if you're in a pinch and want to avoid the crowds at the other pinchos places, but otherwise... there are better options. read more

This place was great! I went because of the Yelp reviews- and it did not disappoint. I was deeply torn when I got here- tapas, or menu? We decided on Tapas. I had sparking water from Catalunya (delicious) and my husband had 2 glasses of wine. We also had 6 Tapas- one beef with pepper, one goat cheese and what tasted like bbq sauce and jam (delicious- smokey sweet), a strawberry goat cheese, an egg/potato omelet with cheese and fish, and an anchovy tapas with micro greens. The whole bill was only 21.50! What a deal for so close to our hotel AND great food AND great service. We were very very satisfied. We ate outside on a gorgeous day and enjoyed the people (and dog) watching, too. read more

Nice clean place, centrally located with nice outdoor and indoor seating. A Good place to taste some pinchos. Fir main course jad the pork chops which were great (although good be larher portions...). Tasted the sangria as long as I'm in Spain, nothing to write home about. After giving Orio another chance I have to admit it was much better than the first time. We were served by a beautiful, friendly and customer focused lady named Paola. Food was good. Interesting spin on tapas. The service was poor. Very slow to get our food. The pinxas were good but we ordered off the menu and that food took forever. Kept having to ask for water and wine. It seemed that the wait staff was overworked. The fish was cooked well but took forever to come out. Not enough staff.
