The glenbrook one sent me to the other since that one was the one I signed up with. So I proceeded to call west Jefferson who I signed up with and the front desk told me I had to get an override from the manager so I waited all weekend until wednesday when she called. She told me I wasn't allowed to transfer since I was in cancelation. That the time before was a one time courtesy and wouldn't be allowed again. I asked why it was allowed since the contract I signed and the cancelation form didn't say anything about not being able to transfer massages. She said that something she will bring up to corporate and then proceed to say I won't be able to but she can book me a massage.  I think it's ridiculous that, something I had paid for, isn't allowed to be transferred regardless of me canceling my membership. I paid for it and should be allowed to use it how I please. This experience and the cancelation experience has dettered me from ever resigning with massage envy again. I'm disappointed and, quite frankly, disrespected that what I paid for isn't able to be used how I see fit.  I hope this issue can get resolved for me and future customers and ultimately have the west jefferson office(management) aware of policies and not withhold massages and paid for services against any further paying customer.

So I did some research and called various spas in town, not wanting to go some place that wasn't clean and professional and a true spa experience, not wanting to spend a fortune, and knowing it also had to be some place that miraculously had openings less than eight hours later. A co-worker mentioned Southwest Hair & Day Spa because his friend is a masseuse here. I called and they were able to squeeze us in at a perfect time. The outside may look like a pink house, but the inside is large and decorated in kind of a mix of traditional and contemporary decor. The ladies all seemed very friendly and they offer everything from hair to massages to nail services to skin care. They have tons of products for sale as well. I had a pedicure (my first ever) with Joelle (who is a sweetheart) and it was spectacular! They take you into a private room, put you in a massage chair, then put your feet in a warm water massaging jet tub thing, then she did everything to make my feet soft and pretty. It is a relaxing, fun experience! My friend had a manicure and said it was wonderful as well. They also gave us goodie bags loaded with coupons! They have been in business 12 years and were super busy while we were there, so I imagine everything they do is great. They were so nice and welcoming and I can't wait to go back!
