The first burger I tried was made from kangaroo, and it was deliciously gamey without being overpowering. The burger was topped with bacon, melon, liquorice powder, and salsa sour cream, lime, honey, and mint. The sweetness of the honey paired with the acid of the lime and the cool melon was a perfect accompaniment to the hint of liquorice powder. Next, I indulged in the deer burger, a lean ground meat topped with porcini, a red wine reduction, mayonnaise with basil, chestnuts, and edamer. This burger had a beautifully earthy taste, and when enjoyed in the rustic atmosphere, this burger transports you to a natural gastronomic forest. The night we were in an Italian blues band was playing and it seemed like everyone seated had gotten there early enough for spots. It's hard to see the band from the side rooms so we stood in front of the bar. This place got packed and if we had moved we would have definitely lost our spot.
