Great food and ambience for a change from the ordinary. Went back a second night. Amazing "happy hour" deal.

Four Green Fields - Pasta special with a mushroom sauce. Bread bites with a spicy seasoning and a flat version of croquette type thing.

Wanted a spot to enjoy people watching and a bite to eat in a pub setting. Totally got that vibe…read more Waitress was lovely. Explained in English the specials written in Italian. We went ahead and ordered off that menu, although you can get regular 'pub' food too. Sat for a few hours enjoying a bottle of bubbles. Ate lunch and hung out. It got super busy around 1pm with what seemed to be locals believe it or not! Irish pub for lunch? Worth a stop in as not as touristy as other places.

We came here after a large dinner to have Irish beer and enjoy an Irish pub atmosphere in Rome…read more The decor had plenty of Guinness signs and flags. The name is probably after an Irish folk ballad by Tommy Makem. We sat at the bar, as we only wanted drinks. On a Friday at 11 or 11:30 it was busy but not packed. The bartender was nice enough, but they did not know what a BLACK VELVET was! (Guinness and cider) They knew how to pour Guinness (in 2 parts) but the only cider they had was bottled, which is typical, but they looked at us as if we were nuts when we explained that Guinness is sometimes mixed with other beers/liquids to form new drinks. They need a bilingual mixologist in there if they want to attract Americans (but who said they were?) The atmosphere was upbeat, the bartenders were civil but not 'friendly' in the way I'm used to in a pub, but it was fine, I'd go back for lunch/dinner.
