Even with the language issues- our waitress spoke French and we spoke English, she was so sweet and she got it all right! The wine was great, the cheeses superb and the chef here will please you! The food is fairly French traditional, but has touches of innovation, uses local (Alsatian) produce and as a result is very fresh and of high quality. Easily among the best French restaurants in the Basel Metropolitan area, it appears to be a fairly well kept secret; in our opinion unjustifiably so. We will visit again soon and enjoy their seasonal cooking. Be aware that the restaurant is not open for business over the weekend, perhaps one of the reasons for its relative unknown status.
