If you're looking for a flawless, stress-free hardwood flooring upgrade, Tom's Hardwood Floors is…read morethe only company you need to call. We replaced 20-year-old carpet throughout our entire home with beautiful engineered hardwood--and the result is nothing short of stunning. - David, our project manager, was responsive and guided us every step--scheduling a site walk immediately, explaining the process clearly, and connecting us with their flooring gallery for expert, no-pressure guidance. - Johnny, the on-site lead, was communicative, accommodating, respectful, and always available. His hands-on leadership kept everything on track and on time. - The install crew was punctual, clean, skilled, and completed our entire home in just two weeks--without cutting corners. Transitions, baseboards, and fine details were flawless. - No surprises, no hidden fees--just honest, fair pricing and clear communication. They stood by their word, every step of the way. Our home now looks brand new. We've worked with many contractors, but Tom's Hardwood Floors sets the gold standard--not just for quality, but for the values of a true family business. Do not look anywhere else. If you want excellence, integrity, and a team that treats your home like their own, Tom's Hardwood Floors is the way.

Tom's did the floors in my unit a few weeks ago. Here are my thoughts:…read more Pros: - Communication: Generally very prompt communication. I wish I got more updates during construction but they sent them whenever I asked. I liked that they were very contentious about talking with my neighbor when their van was blocking a little bit of their driveway--a lot of contractors wouldn't bother. I also had another neighbor who was causing some issues and they kept me in the loop, which I appreciated. - Price: I talked to several contractors and their price was pretty reasonable--not the lowest nor the highest, more in the middle. Cons: - After construction, I noticed some damage on parts that were supposed to be protected. They were minor damages, but annoying. The most noticeable one was a dent on my TV, which left a white dot that I see every time I turn on my TV, which sucks. - In terms of details, I noticed that there were some dings in pretty noticeable parts of the wood. I don't know if it was the crew or the wood came like that, but when I was testing a wood sample before purchasing, I hit the wood with a hammer and it didn't leave a mark, so it would take a lot of force to leave a dent like the one pictured. Kinda disappointing because the dent is smack in the middle of a high traffic area. Some last notes: - David came by to do a final walk through and helped me move some of the heavier furniture back. It didn't bother me but if you're expecting furniture to be put back the way it was originally, you'll want to manage your expectations. - You should definitely hire painters and cleaners after the construction--I didn't think the walls were going to be as scuffed up as they were. And everything will be superrrr dusty, even if it's covered. - When I expressed concern about not all baseboards being replaced, which I thought was the scope of work, he explained that he told his crew to use existing baseboards when possible. He said he did this to save me some cost and offered me $150 to cover the savings. I generally feel positive about this, although if I hadn't mentioned it I don't think it would've come up, so take that for what it's worth.

Let me start by saying I am an architect and my wife is an interior designer so we have high standards for excellence. Phil came and gave me an honest and helpful assessment of my existing floors. Phil and Rudy helped me receive the flooring which I had ordered. They were flexible with the delivery person's schedule. The delivery person would only drop a pallet at the top of the hill where I live and Rudy brought 28 bundles in two at a time. This was three weeks prior to the install mind you! The install occurred while I was out of town for a month. Phil made it a point to check in with me daily, sent me pictures and his team did a flawless job. They had to cut the existing baseboard and bottom of some doors and it all looks amazing. And his price was very competitive. My advice is that even if his price comes in higher than someone else, you should still work with Phil. Thank you, Phil!

Using equal parts craftsmanship, artistry, experience and some miracle worker moves, the floor looks great after he finished. It blended well into the existing area. Minimal disruption in the home and extremely clean/dust control techniques. Beyond satisfied and highly recommend Phil.

I then called the next day and the man on the phone seemed bothered by my call. When I inquired about prices for 'Naturally Aged' flooring he told me he didn't know. So I asked if he could please call the vendor and he said yes but whatever the price was, expect it to increase. Why have items on display that you don't want to sell? Why be a salesperson if you don't like helping people? They won't be getting my business.

I wanted to re-do the flooring in my condo here in Petaluma and Floortex was a great partner to me…read moreevery step of the way! I appreciate that Floortex has experience working with HOA rules and was able to easily provide me with the expert advice and paperwork I needed to meet the acoustical requiements set by my building. I needed both LVP and carpet done and I loved the selection available in the showroom, which allowed me to browse a variety of price points and check out samples to bring home. The install techs were friendly and super professional and provided me with a high level of customer service throughout the install process. I found Floortex much easier to work with than other flooring stores, and I vetted several in Marin/Sonoma. They treated me with respect throughout the process and made me feel comfortable tackling a big home project. I'd recommend Floortex to anyone!
