Getting my son Internet service in the State Supported Living Center. My son moved there at the end of June and the following day I started trying to get him intern services. The Only person that could help set this up was a client account manager ( the only one person in the entire company that could set it up). I left several voicemails and emails with this person. I talked to several people that wanted to help, but couldn't. A few people that I talked to in the company emailed this individual telling her I needed help. The Client Account Manager told a coworker that she would contact me that day...it's been exactly a week and have not heard from her! It has been 22 days since I first started to trying to get service. This transiton for my son moving hours away from home to a strange place is difficult enough and all he wanted was his internet. I finally went a different avenue and my son has internet! This was very important for my son and me helping him get acclimated to his new home! It caused him many tears not being able to play his games in a strange place like the rest of the kids! Very disappointed of the service, lack there of from this company! I really feel like I'm beating a dead horse with a stick here because this is the second time I've complained. I won't call y'all to "fix" the problem. We've had people sent out here more than 5 times in the years we've had it and it still runs just as bad. Want to see how bad download speeds are for their highest service provided? That's right, an HOUR for not even a Gig and a half! It's pretty simple. You're just like every other greedy corporate company raking money in for horrible service as where I'm located you are the ONLY ones that provide wifi. I think watching bark grow on the trees would be a better idea than for ANYONE to WILLINGLY select this provider. I called to cancel my deceased family members account with CCI and stop the automatic pay. They put a $200 dollar hold on her bank account till they get their equipment back which involves sending me a mailing label through snail-mail to send their stuff back. Then they will take the $200 hold off her bank account. We are trying to pay for a funeral and expenses and they find it convenient to put a hold on $200 that we need!!! They are suppose to be reliable and, I guess, efficient/up to date tech. They make me fax or snail mail documents back to them instead of scan (antiquated in my book). It takes me 30 minutes on the phone because they are having internet issues???? Really!?!?!?(The representative was very nice). I will send messages using carrier pigeon before I ever use Consolidated Communications. You make your own decision. I will tell the one thing they are quick to do. STOP the service. Almost immediately the internet stopped working at my deceased family members house. read more

Say NO to Consolidate Commucation! After 30 plus years with DirecTV we switched for 2 reasons, price and the Texas thunderstorms played havoc with satelite reception. The picture is what you see if you try to watch CBS, record a CBS show will get this message for the length of the recording. This is an on going problem and ends with them saying some glitch in the system only effects our little box. Customer service is very nice to you. They promptly fill out a work order and send it to be assigned a work number. Customer service can only tell you if they have updated your work order....not even if they recieved it. No, one can return a call because they do not talk to customers. They are too busy working on work orders. I do like the fact the remote is back lit. Our main box has to be rebooted 6-8 times a day. The HDMI cable, high quality purchased just for the main box, has to be wiggled with about 10-12 times a day to get connected to the box. The TV connection doesn't require any additional adjustments. The remote will send you back to the home screen instead of where you selected it to go such as the guide. All 4 boxes/TV half the time the voice doesn't match the characters lips so you have to turn off the TV and start it again and hope that works. Sometimes love and recorded shows show up as colors, mixed with 2 seconds of a picture then back to color. Sometimes you might be able to hear enough words to figure out what might be going on. You are given a work order when you call. They will not give you this work order number. Because it is sent some place to get assigned a work number. Then it is sent to the tech people. You can not find out if they have received this work order until they decide to update the system. If your work order isn't on the update, you just have to wait and wait and wait and hope you lucky work order shows up. Which no one can give you this work order number. They blow smoke up your behind, make excuses that it was never assigned a number, never received, went to the wrong department and disappeared. Stamped resolved because the records show that 2 months ago you called about the same issue and it was fixed then so it must be fixed now...pass the buck....hide behind a computer glitch. We switched from DirecTV ( after30+ years) to save money and to help with the Texas thunderstorms messing with the satellite reception. BIG MISTAKE! They don't deserve even one star. From their initial visit to the day we cancelled, they've been a nightmare in all areas. When they offered fiber internet that was supposed to be faster and more reliable, it was not; the internet was sporadic and unreliable. The technicians didn't install the box correctly and my husband had to install it correctly. As of now, we haven't had internet service for four days and have been using my hotspot for work. We were scheduled to have an appointment today between 9-11 and of no one showed up; when I called, the tech support person was rude and said the ticket was cancelled and they could not send anyone until tomorrow. This area desperately needs more choices for internet. Consolidated should be shut down. read more

Have had internet service from Consolidated for five years and it has worked great. Now it works sometimes. I called and they sent a technician out to check my modem. Technician says it is good. Consolidated seems to think that rebooting the modem more than once a day is acceptable. I say it is not. They seem to have no intention of fixing this problem. It was good while it lasted. 5/6 /2021 Update. Received two communications from Consolidated and yesterday there were workers across the street and now my connection is working again as it should. Their internet service is horrible. This is the third day this week it hasn't worked. I called tech support and they said they couldn't find a problem the next day they sent out a tech and it happened to be back on and did a diagnostic with out even getting out of his truck. The next two days it has only worked for two hours a day. read more

If it were possible to give 0 stars, I surely would. The service tech was scheduled from 10-12. After several calls after 12, I was given numerous stories. One of which was that the tech was on site. They surely were not. He clearly was not. An hour and a half later, still no one. This service is clearly why the downward spiral of home phone providers. We only needed home phones for our security system. Even they have a solution for that now. Go wireless folks!! read more
