I didn't give the whole thing one star due to the fact that in terms of retail they do have a good selection of pool table items and other gaming table related items. The service for moving our pool table, from start to finish, was deplorable. It in itself the move was a one star situation. -Rude people (Bob) on phone when calling to make appointment each time. -Unprofessional- the one person (Bob himself?) brought a dog in his car, and told my wife to "take your dog upstairs or something". Seriously? -Generally rude and gruff- like they were there for community service. It felt like we asked them to do it for free or something. -They marred a wall in our house and denied doing it. Rude, arrogant "coaches." Overpriced. Years ago, baseball "academies" were rare in small towns…read morelike Albany, and this place could get away with overcharging, but these days there are baseball "academies" everywhere, and Allstars does not have any advantage over the newer, better places. Even in Latham and Colonie there are better facilities that charge less and treat customers better. Allstars does not have access to better tournaments. They do not have better success placing kids in colleges. They don't have better facilities. Overall, Allstars treats customers as if you are lucky they allow you to pay them a fortune, and they do not give you nearly enough for what you pay. Allstars will disappoint you. They will treat you poorly. Your son will not get any edge he would not get at any of the other "academies."

However, I'm still stewing and frustrated that my bike is still broken after being charged $250 for a tune up and a tire replacement and being nice didn't fix that. The front tire wobbles after being replaced, the bike is very very hard to peddle to make it move forward, the brakes aren't tight and the front brake doesn't grab the front tire so it's useless, and they put a sticker on my bike. As stupid as the sticker part sounds, how would you feel if every mechanic threw a bumper sticker on your car? Why haven't I called them to re-look at the bike? I don't want to spend at-least another $250 to have them come "fix" the bike. The bike is old and they knew that coming in to this. It needed a total overhaul, which I was very clear about and I thought we both understood this. I'm very disappointed and frustrated that I still need to invest more money into this bike to have it fixed.

IF you prefer to leave your bike at the shop and not ride for a month in prime riding weather, yes, you can save some $$. IF you prefer to do it yourself, yes, you can save some $$ - youtube can show you how to do most things, I am just not bothered to get manicured nails re-done. I like Karl to succeed, yes it cost a little more, but he is okay with me watching, teach me how to do simple maintenance, how to ride better, and within 2 hrs, I have my bike back and riding off into day... I like not having to drop my bike off and never seeing it for 3 weeks, and if I ask to watch the repairs/maintenance I usually get the excuse, no customer in the back, so I can't even be sure it is being worked on, only to trust that it is.
