During the call, I asked if I could bring a car seat on the bus, and that's when the agent informed me that children under the age of 5 are not allowed to ride their service at all--even if a parent is present. This restriction is not clearly outlined on their website, and I only discovered it because I specifically asked. Policies like this should be stated upfront so families don't waste time planning a trip they can't take. Very disappointing experience. I have researched some companies servicing that route, but I wasn't completely convinced about how safe, comfortable, and reliable they would be. I am grateful that my coworkers recommended Vonlane, a premium bus service that operates between Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. The service is top-notch, more comfortable than flying, and includes complimentary meals, drinks, and snacks. They have a fleet of luxury buses with amenities such as free wifi, a restroom, and spacious leather seats. The prices are comparable to cheap flights, but the experience is more "refined", more enjoyable, and certainly more productive, especially for business travel. In my two trips so far, I have had no complaints except for a delay caused by a faulty audio system, which coincided with street repairs in front of the Hyatt Regency in downtown Houston (Vonlane's terminal). Passengers had to wait in the Houston heat with no shade for 30 minutes, leaving us sweaty by the time we boarded the bus. Despite this inconvenience, overall, my experience with Vonlane has been great.

Very bad experience on October 18th, 2019. We here at Ace Limousine and Charter Bus Services of Houston Texas had made prior reservation and paid for a charter 55 pass bus for school event for our corporate client "Energized for Excellence Academy of Houston" to be transporting a group to Dallas for the entire day and return that late evening. Unfortunately, this day started off terrible at 4:45am, C&H Transportation bus was a NO SHOW! Our first initial call, Tony from C&H said; driver overslept, within 45 minutes later, Tony said; driver around the corner, be there in few minutes. Tony from C&H was keep making excuse then finally he said Driver broke down and After that each time we tried calling him directly, our number was blocked, he would no longer answer our call. (Keep in mind: this is already 7:15 am, and our clients 55 passengers/kids waiting for a bus)and he got full payment three days in advance! Finally, we sent two mini- shuttle buses from ACE to do job... Why he just didn't let us know of his horrible mistake forgot scheduling a bus for this event. We could have dispatched other transportation to take care of our clients 55 passengers/kids waiting at 5am in the morning, to avoid being awfully late. But, keep in mind, C&H wanted full payment as soon as we made reservations, which was very unprofessional on their part as an affiliate. We can't stress enough to all our fellow transportation companies and future clients DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Imagine my delight when I found a bus route that goes all around downtown Houston (conveniently taking me from my hotel to the barber shop) and best of all....it's free! The Greenlink is a downtown circulator that takes you all around the central business district. I took it from Houston Center up to Lousiana and Jefferson. Then I took it back after my haircut. The bus was clean, there was almost nobody on it and it was fast. Houston, I recommend you start using this before the funding dries up and it goes away. If you work downtown, use it to go to lunch somewhere different. The buses come very quickly (every 6-7 minutes) and it's free!

FREE is always good…read more It was my first time in Downtown Houston, TX and I didn't know that there is a free bus. Since I sold my car, I get used to commute public transportation. With greenlink bus, I was able to see the city and it was very great experience. Every 15-20 minutes it runs and I really like it I was going to a barber shop and took one of this Greenlink bus. and it was very easy to commute around downtown houston.
