The timing of the computer crash couldn't have been better, I was just about to save files onto a flash drive before a job interview when it went kah-put. What a day! With cautious optimism, I went for a second opinion. Jeff explained to me that the software they had for computer diagnostics performed wonders. Given the demand, I was told it would be a day or two before the computer doctor could diagnose and treat my laptop. I entrusted my laptop to them. And my boyfriend reassured me that my laptop was in safe hands. I waited anxiously. Oh how I dreaded the thought of all the files I had not saved and all the files I would have to recreate. A few days later, I received the prognostic for my computer. I thanked my lucky stars as soon as I heard that I would be able to regain my data. Two days after the diagnostic testing, my computer was released from the computer hospital as good as new. I am so happy to have my laptop back. I was this [........] close to hugging my laptop goodbye. I also learned that all those times I had rested my laptop on pillows, blankets, and other soft surfaces, I was allowing fibers to enter my computer and blocking air from entering my computer. I was lucky my fan hadn't demised too. My computer is a survivor. We have lots of good times ahead of us. And I owe it all to The Computer Fixers! With great customer service, talented technicians, and well done repairs, I can see why they have remained in business the past 19 years.

I drove over with my laptop ready for a diagnostic, only to find the door locked with no staff available. Their signage indicated they were open, and their online profile also showed open hours, which made the situation even more frustrating. I tried calling while I was there and got no answer, and this wasn't the first time, I had also called the week prior without anyone picking up. I even waited in my car for a while in case someone showed up, but no one ever did. It ended up being a complete waste of my time, especially since I made the trip specifically based on their reputation. I'm genuinely disappointed, as I was ready to move forward with repairs and give them my business.

It is, after all, a SMALL repair store with a LOT of supplies... and I don't go for ambiance. I go for quality repairs, and great service, and have never been disappointed. I find Eddie, the owner, to be honest, knowledgeable, and fast when he isn't inundated with trying to please customers with his quick turnaround repairs. Personally, I dont worry about what time the store may open. I never go until I call to see if I can bring my stuff in. So, I have never had to wait. A small business such as UZ Tech Computers may have to open late due to some reasonable issues... Heck, you might even find a good deal on rebuilt computers, if you aren't too picky. I did. Bought a desktop years ago, and it has worked fine. If it had not, I'm certain that Eddie would take care of the issue... I HIGHLY recommend UZ Tech for repairs, on both cell phones and computers. But, you might want to call ahead to see how busy they are...

The external hard drive I've had for 15 became corrupted and started giving me the "Format disc"…read moremessage. I knew that was not a good sign. I took it to several computer repair shops, who all told me they couldn't fix the drive or restore the data. One guy suggested I try a data recovery service. After a quick search on Google, I found 911 Data Recovery. I completed the online form, and Brad called me the next day. I dropped my external drive off a few days later. Needless to say, not only did Brad recover the data I knew I'd lost, he also recovered data I had lost YEARS ago. I am one happy customer. That drive had 15 years of music, videos, photos, and college papers--bachelor's and master's--on it. I hope I never need to use his service again, but if I do, I will be contacting Brad with 911 Data Recovery for sure.

They said it would be about a 3-4 day turnaround to diagnose and fix. After 3-4 WEEKS of going back and forth with these people (and I was the one having to call for updates multiple times because they never called like they said they would), they finally deemed my switch unfixable. When I came in to pick up my switch, I initially thought they gave me someone else's switch back because the attached joycons were clearly not mine. These were scratched up, dented, and completely different colors than the ones I dropped off. I relayed this to the guy and he went in the backroom to look for my joycons. He came back up front and said he would have to talk to the manager and have him follow up with me, because he couldn't find my joycons in the store. About 4 days went by without a call so I had to follow up again and was told by an employee that the manager said there was nothing they could do about losing my joycons and that they would not replace them either, especially because my switch was deemed unfixable anyway...? So because they couldn't fix my switch, they felt it was appropriate to "lose" and then refuse to replace my joycons? Honestly at this point I'm questioning if they even gave me my switch console back. I've never had such an unprofessional experience like this. Stay the hell away from this place if you value your belongings.
