BUYER BEWARE! I am extremely dissatisfied as the details about the purchase of a chase lounge were kept from me until a month after delivery. Resulting in an overcharge of $900. They are commission based for their salesman. No wonder I was blatantly lied to. If you find yourself in my position. Send it to collection's, & dispute the charge under the details "no contract" as they've written off the debt for tax purposes by selling it to a collection agency effectively making whatever contract you sign null and void. read more

Elisha Hyatt came across as nice until they screwed us over. We bought appliances from them, set to deliver in 1 week. I get a call 2 days later saying that they made a mistake and actually need to charge an additional $400 to our account. Elisha hung up on me and the corporate rep admitted that we are just paying for their mistakes and just too bad. Very sad, pathetic excuses for sales people and a bad look for their business model. They actually told me that because they hadn't delivered it yet, they can still up charge us and there was nothing they can do to help. Completely disgusted with how they honor their words and how they apparently lack every aspect of training their sales people. I purchased a 65" tv from Nakia (just so happens to not work there anymore) for the Black Friday sales they had going on . She insisted that I get the extended warranty and told me and my fiancé that whatever happens to the tv its covered. Just bring it back she said and they'll take care of it for us . Guess what just so happend? The tv cracked . There's one of two reasons the tv cracked . When loading the tv in my car after purchasing it the young man that helped load it layed it down flat! It clearly says on the box do not lay flat!!!!!! They can run back their cameras and verify that themselves! The young man said I do it all the time and haven't had a customer come back . Ok cool! I trusted his word . Not even a month down the line I come home to a cracked tv. The other option is one of my two young girls did something they didn't admit to . My girls don't lie to us . They are very respectful young girls . 5 and 8 years old . So why is my tv cracked all of a sudden ? My tv has been cracked for some months now and I keep attempting to get them to make it right . I went into the store yesterday and talked to the manager. He could give a f*ck less about my tv and there is nothing he can do . Great . Bet I don't spend a single penny in their store again and I will not recommend people to them whatsoever. I will actually argue with any of my friends or loved ones for them not to go and get conned by conns . Completely unprofessional. Y'all are already making 1000$ off interest and y'all will not honor what your sales lady sat there and lied to me about . I wouldn't even give one star but unfortunately to leave a review you have to put at least one. However, I would NOT recommend giving this place any business! I hope to save anyone from having to go through the hassle and headache we have. We purchased a freezer in early November 2020. Before purchasing I asked if the freezer was in stock and Conns responded with yes, so I paid cash and set the delivery for the following Monday. I got the call with the confirmation of delivery and not 2 hour later was told they were not in stock and would not be till after the new year! Fast forward to today's date still no freezer and now they are saying won't be in till February. They are not trustworthy or reliable! Highly recommend finding any other place to purchase appliances. Also if you pay cash it will take 4-8 weeks to get a refund check in the mail. read more

I paid full price for 3 barstools delivered on 9-5-20 from Conn's that were supposed to be 28 inches tall. However, when they came in, the box stated 30 inches tall and they were too tall for my bar height. The invoice I signed stated 29 inches tall, which I took to mean that the actual height would be 28 inches. Both Jade and Alicia were quite confused about WHAT HEIGHT THEY ACTUALLY CAME IN. I asked to exchange them for the next lower height, but was immediately told that furniture is not "returnable". NOT ONE WORD was mentioned as the sales person and I discussed the height I needed, that I better make sure because they could not be returned. I checked my bill----no mention of non-returnable. Actually, it states "any returned items" in a sentence at the bottom of my receipt. I have NEVER seen any stores with non-returnable except for damaged items or clearance items. These barstools were BRAND NEW in the box shipped in. I called and spoke with 5 different people at Conn's Lafayette, which included 3 managers, all who said they would call me back. NONE of them called me back. I eventually returned to the store a 3rd time, and caught the last person I had spoken to, Mr. Jeff Perron, a manager for Conn's. He submitted an email to his supervisor to explain the problem. Right away, he got an email back stating they would NOT replace these with shorter barstools. I offered to accept whatever was the next LOWER height. NO was the response. I feel that since CONN'S ordered the wrong height, they should exchange them and NOT charge a re-stocking fee. jI am having to PAY FOR THE CONFUSION that their staff had about the heights available. It was THEIR ERROR. My daughter and I purchased over $4000 in this sale and it seems they would be MORE concerned about customer satisfaction so we would come back to shop at Conn's. I am pleased to say that after a lot of headache, Conn's DID make this right. Thank you Conn's for exchanging the barstools. You are off of my bad list lol. Do not ever do business here, especially with the salesman, Tim. He was the worst sales person my wife and I have ever dealt with, and come to find out later, was a completely deceitful and dishonest. He had no real knowledge of his products and was unresponsive when asked questions about them. We needed a new mattress and we're in a hurry, or we would have never bought here. I only signed my signature on the electronic signature pad. He quickly ran through all financial documents, didn't allow us to read them, and signed for us. We got no copies of anything we signed until hours later when he emailed them to us. He told us that we got 0% for 36 months, but our contract said that we had an outrageously high interest rate. When we called him later he didn't answer his phone until the third time we called him. He then tried to say he told us, but stumbled and backtracked on everything. He finally said that he was sorry for the misunderstanding. read more

Comment: I was recently approved for $5,303 in Yes Money. 2 sales associates from the Lafayette store contacted me immediately after I received the e-mail approval. I opted for the 1st person to contact me (Janet). She was very accomodating on the telephone. She was very enthusiastic that I might be spending all of the allowed credit. Her attitude went south and she was less enthusiastic when I only spent a whopping total of $1,348.90. It could have been $0. As a corporate trainer and customer service manager, it was apparent she was no longer very accomodating. It was another mediocre sale. So, today (Sunday 02/18) I decided I would visit Janet, again, and purchase another (Monterrey) night stand. Much to my amazement, I was advised it would increase my payment by $30 x 36/mo for a $299.00 piece of furniture. Include taxes and I would pay $1,080 if I went full-term. That is 3 times the cost of the night stand. Obviously, Conn's does not wish to retain their customer base. I have been purchasing from Conn's since 2007, when you were located on Ambassador Caffery closer to Acadiana Mall. My sales person, Charlotte Dill, was always honest and very accomodating. Well, in short, I'm getting screwed. I will NEVER purchase another item from Conn's. You have lost a good customer. I will tell @ least 10 people, so on and so forth. After having possibly the worst experience ever at Lowes on Ambassador, we came here to get a washer. This was our first time going to Conns and I was quite impressed when I first walked in. It's a huge store but everything is laid out neatly to where you know where to go for whatever you're looking for. There was a handful of people at a counter and all of them greeted us with a 'hello' or smile and one man was quick to ask us what we were looking for and how he could help. I told him about our troubles without actually naming Lowes but now--I could care less if it saves someone a ton of stress. I already had my eye set on one washer but there was one near that was on sale which he pointed out, and quickly followed it by "I'm not trying to sway you, I'm just saying it's a little cheaper and a little bigger but if you still want that one--I completely understand." This alone, made me feel comfortable and I took a good look at the one on sale. Turns out, it was actually much larger on the inside and stainless steel which is what I prefer. I ended up going with that one rather than the one I initially wanted. Once I chose it, he led us to a small cubicle and got our information down and we paid then and there for it. It took all of 10 minutes from the point of walking in and walking out. We purchased this Wednesday night and scheduled delivery for Friday. On Thursday, I received an automated call telling us approximate arrival time for the following day which helps a lot since my husband and I both work and one of us needed to be home. The following morning, the delivery man called to let us know a clearer arrival time and said he would call back 30 minutes before he was due to arrive to be sure we were there. He did and was extremely polite in doing so both times. My mom was thankfully able to be there and she said that they were awesome. The whole process and customer service was so fantastic that the only downfall was that we hadn't gone to them first. I felt like they truly cared about their customers. We will be returning here for all of our appliance needs from now. read more
