Worst experience ever. I bought a Italian leather and sofa in December which was defective. I got a replacement sofa then realized the leather on the front if the arms were torn on both the sofa and love seat. I got the run around from their service dept. The matter was referred to the Corporate office. They approved an exchange which I wasnt really interested in. I asked to do a return but they have a no return policy on the furniture. I wished I knew. The sales rep said he emailed someone to get an approval for the return, its been a week and no response. I went back to the store and eventually did an exchange for the same item. They didnt have anything else I was interested in. They give you credit really easy but their items are overpriced. read more

My parents purchased a TV on Black Friday to replace their TV that was destroyed by Hurricane Harvey. The TV was stored in a safe place until Jan. 9 when their contractor cut the box open to install the TV after their house as rebuilt. They found the screen bulged and cracked. My mom contacted Conn's and they said they would not exchange, replace, or repair the TV. So now my parents are out $700 after spending thousands to rebuild their home. read more

I recently purchase an LG high end refrigerator and was very pleased with the whole experience. No one harassed me when I went in, then salesman was very pleasant and friendly. The manager went above and beyond to get next day delivery and he did. My refrigerator came in with a ding, but was quickly replaced same day. And the delivery men all very pleasant and professional. Overall good experience and will purchase from there again. And prices were affordable as well. read more

Beware! I shop at Conns frequently, A week ago I went in to purchase a refrigerator and was using Conns credit. At the final stage of purchase the woman told me "we included property insurance, but if you already have property insurance send us the declaration page and we will remove the fee, this fee is on all of Conns purchases" she didn't know how much the fee was. I said I can't make the purchase without knowing the fee. She found it, the Fee was $180.00, I was angry because they tried to slip it in without being upfront with me. I canceled the purchase. I then contacted Conns to inquire about a prior purchase on Conns Credit... I had No Idea I was paying for ..... Life Insurance $18.24; unemployment insurance $52.06; Accident/disability Insurance $64.94; Property Insurance $122.07 that is over $250.00 of added on charges in the fine print and they didn't ask me if I wanted them or inform me about when purchasing. Beware!!!!! Know to look for these charges and ask about them because this is a standard procedure at Conns. I Have been CONNED, for sure!!! read more

Worst experience ever my salesman SOLOMON ripped me off I qualified for 1 yr no interest and he instead put me in a very high interest plan. He lied to me he told me that if I paid before 1yr I wouldn't pay any interest. So I spoke to the manager ARTHUR WARD he was even worse he lied continues he even gave me his number supposedly the number belonged to a guy named Timothy. He didn't help at all even with the contract in hand that said 1 yr no interest he still couldn't help. He was very hard to find or speak to. I'm still paying till this day almost $3000 in interest because of people like that, that can't even do there job right. Unless that's how they make a living by ripping people off. Terrible experience in the conn's in Humble tx. Be careful people. read more

I just bought a Maytag washer from Conn's in Humble. I paid to have my old washer removed. When the delivery man arrived, I told him that the old machine had a little water in it and he said he couldn't take it away if it had water in it. He called delivery and the guy he talked to said they couldn't take the washer away if it had water in it. I told the guy on the phone that there was only about an inch of water in the tub. He said that he was told that it was full of water, but if I could get the rest out with a towel then they could take it away. I got the water out but then the delivery man convinced the guy on the phone that there was another tub underneath full of water, so they left the old machine. After they left, I had my neighbor turn the old machine over and needless to say, there wasn't another tub full of water underneath the machine. What I removed with the towel was the only water there was. Now I have to wait how long or how many days for them to come back (if they come back) to remove the old machine. read more

I only gave a one cause I couldn't give a zero!! The warranty you pay extra for is a joke!! You jump through the hoops and they will always find an excuse as to why it's not covered!! We bought a 4,000 bed cause my husband broke his back and he could sleep so good on it.. After about 2 years he started waking up in pain cause the mattress was no longer working.. We called conns to come inspect and the box springs were defective, per the inspector, the springs were broke and so much more.. I would never purchase anything from them.. read more

most horriable experience in my life !!! please please research other places first. if you do decide to buy from conn's please get everything in writing or recorded. okay trying to get this issue taking care of one more time. no one from conn's cares what kind of service you had or how much you were "conned" in your transcation with them. please please please try to do business with other companies before you go to conn's. if you have to do buisness with them make sure all conversations are recorded and all promises are in writing signed and dated. if you can make the manager sign off on what you were told. they will not hold true to what they tell you. if they do make it on your calendar as being your lucky day. i only wish they had minus stars to rate this company read more

We have dealt with Conn's many times over the years and have always been satisfied with both the sales price and service. In fact, if we found a slight difference in price somewhere else we would choose Conn's for their service department. Most recently we purchased a washer and dryer set which was still advertising on t.v. And got a really good deal! We had a houseguest who accidentally did not properly install the lint trap and it came out and was flopping around in the dryer. We later found that socks were sucked into the mechanics of the machine but didn't know how many and couldnt get the one we could see out. We called for service and had to wait a day or two but when the man came he was able to get the sock out and ended up not even charging for it because it didn't take long. Service departments that employ friendly, professional personnel are few and far between these days! read more

The only good thing about this place was my salesperson every experience after was an absolute nightmare. My oven blew an element and the fan at 7 months. While cooking dinner the oven began smoking excessively. When i opened the door there was a flash fire singeing my hairline, eyebrows, and eyelashes as soon as I opened the oven. A service technician was sent to my house he determined what parts were to be replaced and someone would come out to repair the oven soon after that. The next technician comes out, and "fixes" the oven. The next couple of times we use the oven it is still smoking, and we notice that the fan that was "replaced" isn't working again. I call again for a technician, which happens to be the original technician. He tells me that Tyrell did not bring the fan that needed to be replaced. I suppose he was just going to overlook the fact that this was a very important part and just didn't care enough about doing his job correctly or the safety of my family!! How do you overlook this!! I requested a new oven out of safety concerns that this was a lemon, but was shrugged off by every service person I spoke with. I called the store its self, I left messages for Jessica and another Supervisor at the call center and neither one ever called me back. Not to mention that I had to wait on hold at least 10 minutes at a time to leave those messages. I will never buy anything else from Conn's. Their total lack of concern for their customers is astonishing. I am currently waiting for the fan to come in so I can take more time off work for a "repairman" to fix the oven. Conn's better hope that this does the trick if not a lawsuit is coming next! read more

NEVER WILL BUY ANOTHER THING FROM CONN'S Me and my husband have both bought several things from Conn's...Humble and Willowbrook locations. Service is usually pretty good besides when you walk in the door the are like buzzards but I guess thats there job. About 3 weeks ago we purchased a push lawnmower and 2 hours after having it, it broke. We were told to bring it back and they would replace it but when we arrived they said policy had changed and it would now have to be sent for service. One week later now that my grass is half mowed and I am getting notices that I need to get lawn mowed they say I can pick it up. When we pick it up we see it has random screws holding it together now and so we hurry home to mow and now it won't start at all. We return it and say we want a refund, no one wants something that will break so easily and often especially when they have had for only 2 hours. They so nope, they can't do anything but will send to service again and we prob. won't be charged to have it fixed. WOW, what a joke and to this day, 3 weeks later, we still don't have our mower back but yet we will have to make the first payment next week. CONN"S SUCKS!!!!!! DON"T make the mistake to buy anything from them escpecially if it can break down because they DO NOT stand behind their merchandise!!!! read more
