Management needs to realize customers do not want to be given an uninterrupted 1-minute spiel about everything you have in the store. Let customers just walk away and shop. If they have questions, they'll ask. And don't say "I'll check on you in a minute" when it's clear the sales pitch is working against you. We walked out. Too aggressive. Not blaming the worker because he was doing his job. If that approach is policy, it deters customers more than it ropes anyone into buying a dishwasher on a whim just because they talked about it for 15 seconds without a breath to let you say, "no thank you." We called the day they brought it out to tell them it was defective and now 2 WEEKS LATER its still sitting in the same spot they dropped it off still defective. As still unused. Bought a $4,900 TV. After 3 weeks it broke. Called the service department, waited on hold a long time, they hung up on me each time. Finally call for a manager the second week. They promised a service call that week. The next week they set up an appointment. I take off work (I don't get paid, so I'm out $1000 for no reason). No one shows. I went to conn's looking for a chair. I went on a Saturday; I found one I liked and ordered the chair to be delivered to store. While placing my order, I was assured that conn's holds orders for 30 days. This was important for me as I had to drive over an hour to get to the store and would not be able to get back for pick up for at least a week. Mykaela told me my chair should arrive with the Monday shipment. I never received a call or email advising that my order was delivered. I went back the following Saturday, and was told by another salesperson that conn's only holds orders for 3 days and my order was sent back that morning. I received no apology from the salesperson or the manager standing by the register when I explained that I had been told differently when purchasing the chair. THEN, the salesperson asked if I would like to reorder the chair or get a refund. Meaning that they kept my money, returned my merchandise, AND never contacted me when the shipment was received or before returning my merchandise. Do NOT buy from this store. I can understand making a mistake on how long orders are kept in store. I cannot understand the complete lack of care by the salesperson when I came back to pick up my order and from the manager who stood at the register the entire time of my return and didn't say a word. I do not understand how a business stays open when they don't communicate that a shipment has been received or making contact prior to returning an ordered item. Ordered a washer dryer combo and a tv back in January. We were building a new home and asked for delivery in April. They called, told us our items were in and being held in the warehouse. They called to schedule a delivery for a Thursday but never called to confirm. When we called to confirm they said they don't make deliveries on Thursdays, would Friday work. so here I sat today waiting for our delivery. I called to see if I should still expect them today. They now tell me they do not have our items and they can't get me anything until late June! Not acceptable at all! I cancelled and I want a full refund. This company charges over 29.99 percent for financing and has astronomical fees. Also, if you should receive a credit concession on your account, instead of taking it from the cost of the item, they will deduct from future interest payments that you wouldn't pay if you are planning to pay off early. I received a concessions for the damage done to my home during the delivery of my refrigerator and it wasn't applied to the cost of the fridge. Instead, it was taken from the total loan including interest which spans over a 36 month period when the loan was being paid in full the first month of billing. The local store along with customer service is terrible. Corporate is no help and doesn't care about the customers complaints or needs. Management at the local store is absolutely no help at all. Management does not follow up or through with any accounts unless it involves them taking advantage of customers. Please do not shop at this establishment. You will be highly disappointed. I had the worst experience with Conns. I ordered a refrigerator June 5th 2021 and didn't receive it until October 9th. I was supposed to receive it July 21st. I was told on multiple occasions I would receive it on several dates prior to October. It was scheduled to be delivered on October 8th. We were told that it could not be delivered at the scheduled time because it was damaged by one of the movers. We were told we would have to wait until the next day to get our fridge after waiting all day for that one. On October 9, delivery day my front door and frame on my new home was damaged during delivery. Conns did not care about what we were experiencing. They did not want to take my complaint seriously or give a concession. The refrigerator ended up needing to be serviced about two weeks after we received it due to the hub tablet having issues. The service tech was scheduled from 11-1. He shows up at 3:05pm after I had rescheduled the service call. He didn't call to say that he was running late or in route. He showed up two hours late. I spoke with corporate on multiple occasions about my whole experience and the concessions not being applied correctly to my balance and all I received was attitude as if I my complaints and concerns wasn't valid. Instead, I was charged with property fees and more when I wanted to pay off early so it would not be financed over the 36 month span. Lina, with corporate was argumentative, rude and did not want to actually talk to me to address my concerns of why my pay off was way more than what was on the invoice. It was only financed for one month. The only reason it was financed for the one month is because I had multiple complaint tickets open that were unresolved and we were waiting to see the concessions (credit) for the damage and experience. 1/15/22 In response to the business owner: I recently called in and my concerns were not addressed and I am highly upset. Lina wasn't helpful at all. I was only given the one conserving when it should have been two, the day of purchase and for the damage to my home. Conns Chattanooga store managers need training on how to actually do work and follow up with customers concerns instead of standing around and lying to people all day. At first I gave them a five because they were very nice like a good salesman should be. I was looking for a stove. The total came to $932. I was offered a seemingly good deal, no interest for 12 months. I was told that if I paid $82 each month instead of $59 I would be finished paying at the end of a year. At the end of a year of paying $82 monthly, I was told that I was short $38 and a few days late on paying with no interest so they added the interest on and I now I owe them $546 more and I have another year to pay for that. We left without purchasing the microwave we intended to buy. Cashier was on her first day, typed with one finger while holding my husbands id and cc in the other. The salesman just stood there, and eventually a guy wearing a "manager" shirt came over and yet they neither helped her or apologized to us for a ridiculously long process. So finally I asked, "is this her first day? " Salesman says yes and STILL manager dude does not intervene. Now I am saying things to them like, "she should have a trainer with her all day" and "isn't there a way to speed this up? Why is it taking so long to complete a sale?" And STILL neither the salesman or manager dude address us with an apology nor do they take over for the poor girl cashier who got so frustrated she walked off in the middle of this and the manager dude yells at her, "where you going? Come back and finish this." And STILL he never speaks to us to explain or apologize. And WE WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE! Finally we say we are leaving and walk out and still no apology. Went to Walmart around the corner from Conn's, got a microwave and we were in and out in about 10 minutes. These people scammed me and my family. We got a lease through their program and bought a washer for $560 and a dryer for around that price equaling around $1200. They said I can pay it off in 12 months with 10% interest. I spoke with Jennifer Williams Santana...... NEVER! Was it mentioned you have to pay actually $2900 for a 12 month lease. So for leasing this $1200 set I have to pay that, plus $1500. How does that important detail not get mentioned. Jennifer scammed us... Oh and she tried not telling us, how the washer and dryer does come with it's own year warranty and wanted to add on a $700 "store" warranty... I don't care how much commissions you get off your customers, you never go about selling something and forget to mention the $700 "store" warranty, and the $1500 addition for leasing!! What a joke these people are. Oh and for the cherry on top, one of the managers asked me how Jennifer did, and I said "good", and he said "well then leave 5 stars for her and nothing less, and if you feel the need to leave something else, let me know and we can figure it out.." (paraphrasing). Well how about you guys get 1 star. This review is bad enough I don't have to mention how my dryer didn't work when it got here and had to call Samsung, that's not needed, because the extra $2000+ you try to slip through was bad enough. We're a single home family, with a stay at home mom and me bringing in the money. When you scam someone $1500, that comes right out of the allowance needed to feed their family. It's interesting that as I read other customer experiences that I have am having the exact same horrible experience! My only regret is I should've looked at these reviews prior to going here to purchase anything! I signed a contract to purchase several items and paid them every month! Multiple times, I personally called the customer service to make my payments with a live representative and every single encounter they told me I had a 9 day grace period from due date. As I reached the end of my cash option, I called to check my balance and for the first time ever, after asking what my balance is, the informed me that the state that I live in only allowed 5 day grace period. Needless to say, I am now left having a huge balance. I WOULD NOT recommend this company to anyone and I now see why they barely have customers and are empty when anytime I walk in that store. I had bought a Whirlpool washer and dryer which I should have got no interest but instead I got "yes money"(which is about 32 % interest) so I pay about $88.22 a month for 34 payments and since day 2 they washer gave me constant problems until I contacted Better Business Bureau in Michigan which got Whirlpool's attention so they replaced it with another one which in 10 month's drain pump goes out so it took about 2 week's for somebody to come out (due to the fact that I had to call Whirlpool twice just to get Matrix out of Chattanooga to come out to replace it)so now I make a payment July 5 so now Conn's text me on the 10th saying my payment is due so make along story short since I don' t have a conformation number I still owe July's payment the payment come from my mom's 'Direct Express card which they have no history of the payment so I still owe until September 2020 my advise 'never ever buy from conn's and never buy a Whirlpool. read more

We had wonderful service with Sannessa. She sold us all new kitchen appliances and we absolutely loved her. We paid for delivery and set-up, when the appliances were delivered, the delivery men said they couldn't install our microwave. I hired someone else to install it and went to the store and complained. Lamar, the manager checked and said that yes I did pay for installation and that he would get a refund check mailed to me. After one month, I called and spoke with the assistant manager (Justin, I think) he said that Lamar wasn't in, but he would check on my refund and call me back. He took both home and cell number. Late the same afternoon, when no one had called, I called again and spoke with Lamar. As I was reminding him of the situation, he said "yea, I remember this" and proceeded to tell me I needed to call another number. I asked him why he didn't tell me to call the number the first time. He said he had reported it, but now I would need to call them. When I called them, they were very nice and said they would process and send me a refund. This was the worst experience that I have ever had with a retail store. I went in to purchase top of the line washer and dryer front loader. It was delivered and the hoses that were purchased were not used so I was told to return to the store for a credit. I returned them and wanted to then purchase the pedestals for the washer and dryer. Big mistake I wish I would have never went back. I was told that they would be added to one account being that it was only a few days apart. When they were delivered the delivery crew damaged my washer using my power tools that were in the laundry room. I confronted them and they began to argue with me and storming out of my house slamming the door. I went straight to the store to get this resolved. They advised that it would be handled and someone would contact me. The purchase was made in August, September came around and still nothing, October and nothing again. All along I am calling the store and getting calls about making a payment which was not due until Oct. because they combined the purchase into one ticket. Yes, they were combined alright on my account and credit report it showed a balance that was triple the amount that I purchased the products for. I was charged for two washers, two dryers, hoses, and two pedestals. By November I was furious calling corporate and filing complaints. I was finally notified by corporate who then stated that they would correct the errors and give me a % off for the damage that was caused. Here we are in March a new year they should have had time to fix the problem but no I am still dealing with them and request a statement of my purchase and what I am being charged for but they never send it so now I have no clue what I am paying for because the note is the same and they call me harassing me when they don't get their money right away but I don't even know what I am paying for. Every time I call to make a payment I get the balance and it never goes any where and it is suppose to be interest free for 12 months. What a scam If I was charged for the correct stuff verses tripling the amount which will not be paid off in time this is fraud because now it reports to my credit for way more then what I spent and still cannot get it resolved.
