I'm very disappointed with this company's service. We ordered a couch in early February with an expected arrival time of late June. They kept pushing back the date (which is out of their control) but I had to keep calling to get updates on when the time moved. I am constantly calling the store and their story changes every time: they will get it to us late July, it is in the truck ready to go, it is still at the manufacturing company, it will be delivered by August 6, it will be delivered late August, etc. Overall, it has been a frustrating experience with me having to do the work of constantly calling them for updates, and every time I call them it is a different story with a different time. Moved to Chattanooga last year and furnished my house all from Furniture Row. A year later the Nepali round kitchen table warped so two edges of the table are about 2" higher, my glass slides to the middle of the table. Called FR and they suggested we did not assemble the table correctly until I pointed out they installed and assembled anything. Since the table is 1 month out of warranty FR will not stand behind the obviously defective product. I noticed they no longer carry any products from Nepali, I wonder why. Most businesses would work to keep their customers happy but they do not seem to care. Best they offered was to sell me another table at a discount but the chairs would not match. read more

We purchased several items about a year and a half ago. After months of waiting, the dates being pushed back, etc, we canceled our order for the items we had not received when we found some that would deliver ASAP. To this day the money we prepaid has not been returned and the money that wasn't paid yet still remains on my credit report, impacting my score. We owe money for an order we canceled and therefore never received - almost $3,000. We have called countless times. I will never order anything from furniture row again. Stick to ordering from places that don't require payment until you receive the item - I should've known when they said payment starts immediately it was a scam. read more

Nobody called me when my couch came in. In fact, I had called them previously and they told me not to call, that they would let me know. Today, 2 of the 3 parts of my couch were delivered after I called to ask when I could expect to receive it. The delivery guys (who are unaffiliated and did a great job) brought in a couch in a totally different color and configuration. They said this happens all the time with Furniture Row. Wrong pieces being delivered, etc. I paid extra for delivery and set-up! The delivery guys called the store to let them know they messed up. No one called me to let me know how they would fix the problem. When I called FR, the asst manager was unsure when he could get the rest of my sectional delivered. I asked him to contact the delivery guys and then call me back with a time. He said it would take 15 minutes. 2 hours later he called back with no new information. When I attempted to call yet again to find out when my couch was coming, no one answers the phone. It has taken all day, and still no answer and no couch. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this Furniture Row. Josh was our salesman and he did an excellent job making sure we got everything we needed and was patient with all of our questions. The bedroom set I ordered came in on time and we received a call promptly when it came in. We called on the way to pick it up and they had it ready for us when we pulled up. I have been by this place a couple of hundred times over the years but never stopped or went in because it looked kind of dumpie from the outside looking in. Well today I decided what the heck go in and look around and check it out after all these years you might be surprised! Well I was shocked looked like I was right in a way but not in another. The guys were setting up yo paint the ceiling which I didn't even notice and could have cared less about. The furniture was great and the prices are even better! I will be back to get my mattress set here and I found a living room set that was FANTASTIC! My husband and I enjoy shopping here. They have a large selection of beautiful furniture and they let you look without bombarding you. This was pleasant compared to several other stores we have been in where they follow you around too much. You won't find that here. We ended up ordering a chase lounge and 2 end tables. The tables were cheaper on their website and they matched the sale price with no hesitation. The furniture arrived with no damage and we were very pleased with the quality of everything we purchased. Found a great couch at a great price at Furniture Row back in February. The couch has 2 pieces and I was told it would arrive in March. It ended up arriving in May. I know furniture being pushed back by comapnies is not in FR's control and therefore I can't blame the store for that. However, there was a terrible lack of communication. I'm still awaiting my second peice and each month I call and receive a different answer. Its extremely unprofessional that I paid for furniture from them and they can't even be bothered to update me with the status. I have to call myself each month and receive different answers based on who I talk to. Last week I called and was told the piece was on a truck and arriving this week. This week I call and was told that that isn't the case and that it will be arriving in January of next year. Went in looking for floor lamps and were disappointed they had a very limited selection. Most of the lamps we looked at weren't plugged in, so we couldn't determine the amount of light given off. Kind of annoying. The salesman were talked to was very helpful and not pushy. We found very reasonably price sofas, love seats and recliners in the warehouse section. read more

A few years ago I bought an amazing couch from here. When it was time to buy my daughter her first real bed, we thought this would be a good choice. The salesman ignored her and annoyed us while we were letting her make a selection, then when we asked about an overpriced rug in the green she wanted, the depth of his exploration was to ask the manager, and say, "Well, we will just go with the pink." At the time (August 29), we were told it would be a couple of weeks for delivery. We also bought some mattress sets at Denver Mattress (same company, completely different experience). On September 12th I got a call scheduling the delivery for September 20th. My daughter, who is seven, was super excited about getting her new bed that she had picked out. On September 19th, I got a call that it would be a couple more weeks before the bed would be delivered. I am not sure how in 2015 it takes over a month to get a generic, fabricated, overpriced bed. It wasn't being hand carved from naturally fallen redwoods. I canceled the order and don't expect i will shop here again. Just a disappointing experience in general. read more

Purchased a "special order" motorized recliner in March 2019. After two months I called, it was not in. They assured me I would be called when it did arrive to set up delivery. Never got a call for 4 more weeks so called again. Guess what, it was in. They delivered it that weekend. (Similar to Fiona C. review) Few months later I began to feel the shape of wave springs in the seat. Thinking it would not get worse I chose to ignore. Now the springs press harder on my tailbone and hip bones on the side supporting my left hip and leg appears to be lower than the right side mostly in the back crease. The chair is made by Southern Motion, so you know. Last week I began having pain in my left leg and ankle when I would get up out of the recliner. Pain was so bad, I could not put body weight on the left till I stood on the right alone for about 5 minutes. When I reached out to them their assistance manager was confrontational. I will never buy another "anything" from Furniture Row, Denver Mattress or Oak puke. I now need to go find a real recliner made with quality design and materials. I'm sure finding a quality seller will be easy compared to this one. This is Nov. 4th, 2020. Oh I forgot to say NO OTHER chair I sit in causes this pain in my left leg, foot/ankle. read more

I looked all over Chattanooga as well as on the web for a queen size headboard. I only had a bed frame. I visited Furniture Row and found exactly what I wanted. I specifically asked the sales person if the headboard would fit my frame. He said absolutely yes. I explained that other stores has said there was no way they could guarantee a fit. He said- "we will". He also said the delivery crew would set it up for me. When they arrived they told me I would need a different type of bolt for the headboard to fit correctly. I called the store and they assured me they would come back and attach the headboard correctly. It's been two months and numerous phone calls. They kept saying they will call back and make another appointment. Nothing! I will NEVER purchase anything from them again and will discourage all my friends from the same. read more

I'm very unhappy with the level of service Oak Express provides to their customers. It seems common place for them to give their customers unrealistic delivery time frames in order to make the sales. Afterwards you will hear, the delivery truck broke down, your furniture will be on the next one so it will be a delay of 4 days... not bad 4 days, I don't mind that. Then 4 days later after you take the day off work and you don't hear anything from them you decide to call them back to see what's going on and they tell you, "hey, looks like it will be here in 3 more days and then we will call you to get a delivery date.". So I recommend that you either stay away from this place even though they do have some nice things or lower your expectations and realize that most likely they are going to feed you a bunch of B.S. About how fast your furniture will be delivered. As of right now I still don't know when mine will. read more

In anticipation of buying our house, I've been to oak express and all stores within furniture row looking for specific pieces. Not just here but every furniture store around chattanooga and a 50 mile radius. We decided to purchase a bedroom, dining room, and kitchen stools. I couldn't wait to get it all. Prior to delivery I received a call from the man we've been working with, Mike Helm, to let us know the truck may have left off one of our upholstered dining chairs. He asked I call him if it was missing and indeed it was. I called to let him know and He said I will be there within 30 minutes to bring it to you. What? Customer service has been a thing of the past, so I thought but low and behold 30 minutes later, Mike showed up, in his own personal car carrying up our missing chair. Thank you Mike and kuddos to you Furniture Row, on the outstanding furniture but mostly the personal customer service I have received . Bought a bed several months ago. The mattress was delivered late and the rest of the bed wasn't delivered at all. Was told that there was a problem with the bed and they'd have to fix it. It was a floor model, so ok. Contacted them several times over the next month or so. Was finally told it could not be fixed and they'd find something else for that price. A replacement was found and was supposed to be delivered, but never was. After several more calls and a visit to the showroom delivery was scheduled, but the bed wasn't delivered when it was supposed to be. When the bed finally was delivered over 3 months late it was missing parts. Was told have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for a refund. Heard nothing back from them. Called today to find out if refund check was ready and was told it was. They said they had to get the bed first. They claimed they've already tried to pick it up, but no one was home and no one answered the phone. There was no phone call made and was home when they claim to have come. They are now saying they cannot schedule a pickup until March 5, a week from now. Based on all the missed delivery appointments I can't count on that. Manager even acknowledged that he's not willing to pay a driver overtime to resolve a situation and that should have been taken care of four months ago while having my money tied up. They knew several weeks ago that they needed to pick up the bed, but failed to do so.
