We stayed at the Connor Hotel after reading a few reviews on Yelp and we were not disappointed. Our room was spacious and clean. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. I also liked the French soap and shampoo (L'Occitane) and ended up ordering a lot of their products on Amazon when I returned to Chandler. The gift shop was nice, too. Overall, I loved everything except the parking - it is street parking and you may end up parking quite far away. read more

This was my first stay here and absolutely love it! The staff is friendly, the rooms are rather spacious and very clean. The bathroom, in particular, was big and impeccably clean...I also enjoyed the amount of towels available. When I first walked in my room I was struck by the smell of fresh flowers and noticed a rose on one of the tables. Later that day, there were fresh flowers in a vase outside all of the rooms which was such an elegant and charming touch. The stay here was fantastic and I plan on staying here again during my next visit. read more

My first time to Jacome and it was a great experience. The hotel was awesome . Clean and unique. Lots of history! The ladies at front desk were so nice! Will definitely come back again. read more

Who would think that such an old and historic hotel could be so clean with all the modern conveniences. Parking is a little difficult but come after 5pm when shops close. Extremely convenient to great restaurants and shops that only Jerome can have. Awesome shop in the lobby. read more

What a treat! The Connor Hotel is charming beyond words. Room 3 was just perfect. The bed was comfortable and well stocked. Thanks for splurging on the upscale toiletries -- nice touch! The people at the hotel could not have been friendlier. We arrived very late and they made arrangements for us to get the key after hours. The Connor is awesome! read more

Stayed at the Connor recently in Room 4. Was very impressed by the cleanliness of the room, amenities, and guest services! The ambiance is just so cool with that rustic, antique feel, yet the modern appliances and touches in the room made our stay very convenient. The Spirit Room had great drinks and music nightly, and a wine tasting room right next door. Parking was never a problem either! We'd like to go back again and stay in a few other of the intriguing rooms. read more

We love this place so much that this is our second time visiting! We love Room #1 on the corner above The Spirit Room. It's lively and a bit noisy, but doesn't seem to both us since we're late nighters. The Hotel Connor is the best of this quirky and historic ghost town. We enjoyed the nice little amenities in the room (microwave popcorn, fan, big tv and mini fridge) and the comfy king sized bed. read more

Stayed there on 9-4-18, the hotel is old like the rest of Jerome, the rooms are decorated for the age and are quite comfortable. John , at the desk, was very helpful with parking and dining places, well worth the cost for an enjoyable stay. While there try The Haunted hamburger joint, good specials and food. read more

My family and I were visiting Jerome for the first time and made reservations in advance for Room 6 at this hotel. First impressions were not good !! The pillows and shams were misheveled and looked like they had seen better days and that goes for the bedspreads as well, they just were not inviting ! There were two like wingback chairs and one of them had very soiled arm rests !! There was a floor lamp that was broken and if you wanted to use it , you had to get down on the ground to plug it in !! There was no effort put into this room, one of the more expensive rooms ! The bathroom had an extremely large tall window that was fiflthy , hadn't been dusted and had dead bugs that fell from the window ledge, when I had to put one of the bath towels on there to cover the window (no blinds) just a see through flimsy cheap curtain ! And you were upstairs, so at night when you took a shower , you were in full view for everyone on the street to see !!!!!! Oh and the carpeting under those two wingback chairs hadn't been vacuumed before we got there and there was leftover food from someone else, a potato chip and some m&m's !!!!! The room didn't give you the impression that it was clean, just didn't feel comfortable in there !!!! Definitely would NOT stay there again !!!!! Also if you arrive later in the day, good luck finding parking because this hotel does not have it's own parking lot !! read more

This place is a little pricey but it pays for itself many many times over. The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. We came here on honeymoon and they left a bottle of champagne and a small cake for us as well as fresh flowers which are in every room. We were in room 1 which they do note on their website can get a little noisy from the bar being directly below it. This was not a problem for us as we were joined in on the festivities. They have other rooms which are much quieter. All is listed on the website, so long as you do your research this will not be a problem for you as you can choose your room. The room comes with mini fridge and microwave and is quite large and charming. The Connor pays homage to it's history with old furniture and many portraits of times long past. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room comes with DirectTV. The bathroom had been remodeled and was comfortable, but some rooms should mind the street below when it comes to the bathrooms with a window. The hotel also houses a small community library for your stay and the friendliest staff I have ever encountered at any hotel. The location is also unbeatable. It is in the heart of Jerome with plenty of shopping and dining within walking distance. It was our first time in Jerome, and it will not be our last. We will be staying at The Connor again. read more

I was a loyal customer to this hotel for years, but after this trip I will never go back. After spending thousands of dollars over the years and sending dozens of referals I was treated very poorly by the staff and owner Anne. We had toilet problems and our room overflowed and smelled like sewage, while trying to fix the problem another guest complained that we were being to loud at 11pm even though the bar band downstairs was still going strong throughout the hotel. Instead of speaking to me about this the next morning the owner Anne, tooK $150 out of my credit card! She was so unprofessional that she did not even give me the courtesy to call me herself but I had to call and be treated TERRIBLE by her staff. I go to Jerome all the time and will NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. They are not only overpriced for a hotel above a bar but they have no respect for their customers!!! I highly recommend staying at the Mile HIgh or Ghost City Inn where they treat you like a valued customer and you dont have to worry about extra charges on your card!!!! read more

We arrived to this little town not knowing where would spend the night, but that didn't stop us from saloon hopping. We entered the bar and we were told that rooms might still be available at the Connor Hotel. The lady gave us the key to rooms 2, 6, and 7 because it was three of us gals. I opened the door to room 2 and instantly liked the fact that it would be able to accommodate the third person. We walked towards the opposite end of the hallway and I opened room 6. It had two big queen beds, but in my head, I really liked room 2. As we were exiting, I tried to close and lock the door, but the damn door shut in my face with so much force that I felt as if someone shut it. I'm trying to be rational about it but no windows were open, so it doesn't make sense how this door slammed itself shut. I didn't fess up about this incident to my friend immediately because it would have spazzed her out. The mirror on the stairway caught my attention. I touched it and it howled at me, I swear. First of all, something was very different about that mirror. I know that when you touch a mirror, your fingers never touch. However, my fingers were touching with this mirror which means that someone can see you but you can't see them. It scared the shiznit out of me and raced up the stairs fast. Rationally speaking, the bar is downstairs and a band was performing so maybe it could have been the people dancing and singing the night away. Who knows?! All I know is that I felt the howling come directly from the mirror. Lastly, my camera was not working properly the next morning as we were checking out. Ugh! I examined my camera and it freaking had a crack on the screen. Frankly, I don't remember this little crack on my camera, so I was livid. I would point the camera to take a picture but it wouldn't show up on my screen. It really threw me off and at breakfast, my friend and I decided to swap stories about our night at the Connor Hotel. read more

We had a lovely stay. It was my bf's bday and I told them when I made the reservation. They had champaigne chilling in the fridge and a little cake with two forks and a candle waiting for us when we got to the room. The room was very clean. The hotel staff are wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area. I would definitely stay there again! Those who need the extreme quiet of a chain-type of hotel may not be happy here. But if you like a charming and unique place that is clean and in a great location for walking around Jerome, this is perfect. read more

Interesting place in the heart of very quaint Jerome. I consider the price high for the quality of the property. When they say you can hear the saloon in certain rooms they mean it. You might as well be in the saloon. read more

My wife, son and daughter and their families spent the night in the Connor Hotel recently and had a fantastic stay. During the visit, they bought local hand-made tumbleweed jewelry in the gift shop which is quite different and fun. One of the pieces had a small problem when they returned home to the beach communities. My wife phoned the hotel gift shop and to get to the point, the hotel and maker could not have been more responsive and helpful. The jewelry was received today and our appreciation for 'old style' good customer relations was as wonderful as the stay at the Connor Hotel! If you're reading this out while trying to decide whether or not to book a room for your visit to Jerome, three families give the Connor and their vendor two thumbs up, or should I say, 6 thumbs up! Thanks Connor for your part in making their visit to Jerome such a great experience! The Norris' Cardiff by the Sea, California read more

We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay for a night in Jerome for my boyfriend's birthday. I 'm so glad we stayed here! I chose room 3 because it was only $105 a night. But it suited us perfectly. It is totally charming, has a little fake fireplace and a great view of the mountain. The bed is super comfy, with down pillows and a heavy down comforter. (Which is great, because it snowed overnight.) We're still snuggled up in bed as I write this, hoping 11am takes it's time :) Also, I love popcorn and the room had it, along with a few kinds of tea, and real cream in the mini fridge. One thing, tho, as is to be expected with any really old hotel built on a 30% grade, there is going to be some shifting, which explains the 1 to 2 inch gaps under most of the doors. Still, not enough to knock down my 5 star rating. When we come back to Jerome, the only thing that might lure us away from staying here is staying in the Asylum where there might be a better chance of a ghost :) read more

Loved the Connor Hotel. We stayed in room 4 and really enjoyed the vintage feel with modern conveniences. It's not the Marriott and I loved that each room was unique and had its own personality. We loved the Spirit room too. Great music with a small town feel. Jerome is truly real America with real neighbors making sure you enjoy their town. Thank you, I will definitely be back. Very funky. Very comfortable. Every room is different - can view each on their website. One hundred and twenty years old, updated for maximum comfort, but still has the authentic old timey feel. Wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Jerome. read more

I read all the glowing reviews about the hotel, so I had high hopes. The room is actually lovely...no complaints there. I was a bit worried about noise related to the bar, so I booked a room far away from the bar (Room 7 which is at the other end of the building and was recommended as a quieter room when I reserved it). Sadly the band was still so loud I sat up in my room just counting down the minutes until the music ended and I could sleep. I'm not a light sleeper..it was LOUD! Don't let he reviews fool you, there are no quiet rooms when the band starts playing. read more

Incredibly helpful staff...we got in late after a long day of travelling in they helped myself, my wife, my three year old, and two dogs get in and comfortable into our room just in time to get out for a satisfying dinner...old building with a rustic feel while maintaining access to wireless internet, an array of TV stations, and one of the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen in a hotel...Highly recommended for a unique stay in Jerome...which is unique in and of itself! read more

DO NOT stay in the rooms above the bar. We are in room 3; my cousins are in room 5. The music is SO loud - until 12:30 this am and will be until 11 pm + tonight. We are EXHAUSTED! And we we not made aware of how it would be when we booked. We will never stay here again. read more

Friendly staff, nice and comfy rooms, and comfortable beds! We booked the room over the bar, which was a bit noisy, but it quieted down around 10 pm. The one thing that I disliked was the window by the pullout bed that rattled (even while closed) because of the wind. This issue was solved by putting a book between the window and glass. Overall, my stay at the Connor was great, mainly because John, the owner, was extremely friendly and accommodating, and gave great info about the area and hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to history and travel lovers alike! read more

We loved room number 7. It was in a quiet corner with a great flatscreen, gas stove in corner and nice windows. The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. Bath was nice with jacuzzi shower combo. It was not fancy but the ambiance was perfect for the town of jerome. It seemed like the perfect place to stay so we extended our visit for another night and rode the train in clarksdale. Lots of shops with affordable art, some good eateries and well worth the $$$ read more

I would never stay here again. The ladies were rude after they lost my reservation, then we finally got in the room and it smelled old, my wife also found a pub on our sheets. DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE!! The music is so loud from the bar and people are in and out all night, it feels very unsafe . I will NEVER stay here again! Love the town, hate this hotel! read more

We were passing through Jerome AZ and we had the Conner Inn recommended to us by a business down the street, so we went to check it out. The first impression of the owners of this Inn was terrible, they couldn't have been more rude. The rooms were expensive for a 100 year old building, but money wasn't the issue, although since we were camping around the SW, we weren't going to spend $155 on a room, especially from this business owner. Maybe she was having a bad day, but as soon as we walked in it was as though she wanted to have a confrontation, I'm sorry, but that's no way to treat another human being, customer or not. I would not go back to this Inn or recommend it to anyone. read more

My husband & I stayed here for our anniversary & a belated honeymoon. I would give it 10 stars, if it were possible. The staff was amazing. They were friendly & welcoming. They went above & beyond to make our celebration extra special. The location of this hotel is ideal as it is within walking distance of everything & it is above the happening Spirit Room. We were warned about the potential noise from the bar but it only added to the charm. My husband & I sat by the windows & listened to the music wafting up from below, all while enjoying champagne that the staff had so graciously put in our room for our anniversary. All the rooms are unique & quaint. We chose room 3 & it was everything I had hoped it would be from the pictures. When I walked in the door, it was like walking back in time...except with lovely modern amenities. The bed was so comfortable & wonderful for snuggling during the chilly evening. There were a variety of teas & coffee. There was also microwave popcorn for those that want to stay in & watch a movie. We will definitely be back...sooner rather than later. read more
