It is a new hotel and very pretty. The continental free breakfast is very nice There is no pool nor hot tub nor vending machines. There is no place to,walk to. I am in love with this place. It's super clean. Smells amazing and I need to know of the scent here is available for purchase for my home. The room is big! The patio is absolutely gorgeous and the fire places are so inviting to just sit around and watch the sunset and take on the view. I'm here for work and I am so happy we chose this place to host our inservice. It's literally down the road from the canyon verde railroad which was also a blast! I will be back!' We loved this brand new Hopi owned hotel. It was very clean, modern, upgraded, with traditional art pieces and accents throughout. The view with firepits in the back of the property was beautiful. Our stay at the Taawaki Inn was very nice. We were impressed with how clean and new the hotel was. We checked in late and the front desk clerk was EXTREMELY helpful after we told her we were making our way to The Grand Canyon. She gave us maps and explained different tour spots we should see and roads we should take to make our trip more memorable. We loved the Taawaki inn. It seemed to be brand new and we loved the large room. There was a mini fridge and microwave. Debbie at the front desk was a gem! She shared so many great tips and probably saved half an hour at minimum with her tips to avoid traffic. We loved the Hopi touches and gallery. Also, the breakfast was fabulous and had so many different choices in pastries. Only con, was it was a bit loud, we could hear doors opening and closing in the hall but it wouldn't deter us from staying again. Great stay! read more

This is the place to stay if you're visiting Cottonwood or Jerome! This hotel is only about a year old, so everything is new. It's located just north of Old Town Cottonwood right next to the Tuzigoot Monument (which is a must-see). It's only about a 15min drive up to Jerome. The main lobby is very nice and plays calming indigenous flute music. There is a patio with a scenic view, with seating and fire pits. It overlooks some brush, the Verde River, and mountains in the distance. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. Breakfast has a lot of offerings, including fresh pastries, fruit and orange juice, and a nice dining area. Everyone there was kind and helpful. Since it is owned and operated by the Hopi tribe, there's indigenous artwork throughout and even an art gallery and gift shop inside. We had a great experience here. It's peaceful and comfortable, with beautiful artistic touches. The Taawaki Inn is exactly what traveling is supposed to be. read more

This place was interesting. It was very clean and very new looking. The room we had was great, clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and there was an array of different types of pillows, which I appreciate. We also had a mini fridge if we needed it for drinks as well as a coffee maker. The problem was that there was no creamer in the room for coffee. I was also told upon check in that in the morning there would be pastries for a small breakfast and fresh coffee. I went out at around 6am and the coffee was luke warm at best and no food. I came back at 710, since that was the stated hours and there was still nothing. I asked the front desk and he said there would not be pastries and if he wanted, he would make new coffee. I told him not to bother. Would I stay again? Sure. But the next time I wouldn't expect there to be any food available or fresh coffee. read more

I feel like we got here and this place was brand spanking new. When we arrived there was 1 other car in the entire lot. We basically had the place to ourselves for the The Magical Christmas Journey railroad ride we were in town for. Room was modern and nice. Beds were comfy and clean. Room had a fridge and safe. However, the only sore spot was breakfast. We were under the impression they had a light breakfast (bagels, coffee, donuts, fruit) but I guess that was not true as there was literally nothing in the cafe. 0/5 for breakfast, 5/5 for room read more

This hotel is literally a museum. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I have a Cherokee heritage and felt at home in a place designed by the Native American Hopi that was so prevalent throughout the hotel. And the breakfast was a smorgasbord of danishes, muffins, and all sorts of freshly baked breads, many that I have never tasted before. Thank you Taawaki Inn! read more

My family and I spent Christmas Eve 2025 at Taawaki Inn. The hotel is pristine, very clean and the Native American Hopi art is wonderful throughout the hotel. The rooms are spacious, and the beds feel like you are sleeping on a cloud. All the staff are there to accommodate you as their guests. The breakfast is like no other...they offered gluten free muffins! The traditional Hopi stew is delicious! There are many items to choose from at breakfast, egg bites, fresh fruit and many more. A favorite stuffed animal was forgotten in our room and within 2 hours of checking out, the hotel called me and texted me advising me of the item left behind. Easy process to get it sent home. Anyone going to Clarkdale, AZ do yourself a favor and stay at Taawaki Inn. read more

This hotel is more than just clean, spacious rooms at a phenomenal price point. Sedona is nice. However, if you get tired of the touristy interaction and treatment and you're looking for a GREAT place to stay, you definitely need to check out the Taawaki Inn in Clarksdale, just 20 miles from Sedona. This place was phenomenal and their pet friendly policy met the approval of our Labradoodle. The hotel is a year old and absolutely spotless!! Super friendly staff that treated us like family. The complimentary breakfast had so many "freshly made" options we couldn't believe it was complimentary. Lori Reinhold the Sales and catering manager, took the time to indulge my girlfriend's curiosities regarding the many breakfast options, the hotel theme, and things to do in the area.. With all the positive variables I experienced this equation is simple.. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend!! read more

"Serenity in a small historic town"!! - May 9-11, 2025 The Taawaki Inn is Arizona's best kept secret, close to so many historic areas to visit! The staff was very cordial and knowledgeable about the area, the hotel was pristine the complimentary breakfast was excellent and the rooms were HUGE with a nice 'hot' shower!! While there, we explored the historic city of Jerome, Tuzigoot, Cottonwood, Montezuma's Well and Montezuma's Castle. PLUS Verde Canyon Railroad!! We are already planning to return in the next few months! ~no complaints at all!! read more

The hotel was clean and the parking was convenient. Beyond that, you can't take a hot shower because the water temp doesn't go beyond warm, which wouldn't be bad if the pressure from the shower head was decent...but it isn't. My showers were chilly and unpleasant at best. Also, other than some bottled water in a fridge behind the front desk, there's no food or beverage available anywhere in the hotel...literally. Not even a stick of gum. No vending machines. Nothing! Which again, wouldn't be so bad if there was a nearby restaurant or store or gas station...but there isn't. Do NOT let their dining room photos fool you! There's no breakfast. No food. Not even a crumb. Ever. In short, if you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel surrounded by desert with not a single amenity...this is your place. Obviously, I wasn't. I prefer a more civilized stay with diet sodas, snacks and hot showers as options. read more

Amazing so clean parking lot is so good staff is friendly when you wake up you get a very beautiful sunrise. Also just an fyi the reason the water doesn't go above warm is because WE ARE IN THE MDDLE OF NO WHERE. My son and I have a YouTube channel (TheOuterRange) where we film ancient ruins all across the American Southwest. We are always looking for a place that has the vibe of what we are immersed in. Taawaki Inn is remarkable from the moment we met Debbie (the night check in staff) we knew we were at the right place. The entire decor made us feel that we were meant to be here. The hotel was extremely clean and every detail seemed to be thought out in a way to make us feel like we were right at home. We are both gluten intolerant and have restrictive diets. We could not believe the breakfast. Anne (the chef and overseer of breakfast) had a wonderful breakfast prepared with homemade gluten free pastries along with a multitude of other breakfast goods that would no doubt make everyone happy. Really the breakfast is incredible and very thought out, no packaged goods here. We normally do not leave reviews but this place deserves the time it takes to express how wonderful it is. The hotel even has its own art gallery, all tributes to the Hopi culture and their way of life. Over the few days we were there we met many of the staff of which I unfortunately have forgotten their names. I do remember Alice, she was at the front desk on our last day and was extremely nice, taking the time to chat and make us feel welcome. Stayed one night at the Inn at the recommendation of a couple who had overheard me asking a museum official for recommendations for lodging in the Jerome Arizona area. They enthusiastically recommended the Taawaki Inn in Clarkdale, just a few miles away. I had never heard of this hotel and could barely pronounce it's name. But, I decided to travel there and check it out. Glad I did! I've stayed in many hotels around the world over the years, good and bad, and this ranks as one of the best. Apparently it was designed by the Hopi Indians (that's what they call themselves), and they have done a wonderful job in it's construction. Amenities are first rate, with an included continental breakfast baked on-premises. Hopi music and original Hopi artwork was completely new to me. While I was sitting outside enjoying a cigar, a member of the staff joined me to enquire if i was satisfied with the accommodations and we had a conversation about the history of the hotel that I found fascinating. My only question was why the hotel appeared so empty after almost a year in operation. She confided that that the main problem was that very few people knew about the hotel, despite their advertising. This is truly unfortunate, not only for the hotel but the potential guests that, I believe, would absolutely love staying there. My recommendation: if you are traveling in this area of Arizona and want top quality accommodations, rather than staying in the local city of Oatman, do yourself a massive favor and look into this lovely hotel. If for no other reason, to at least enjoy the unique art and gifts of the Hopi people. And no, i was neither asked nor paid for this review. read more
