Hello from room 12. We were fortunate enough to book a room at The Connor Hotel in Jerome for two consecutive nights. This place is great. Beyond being in a wonderful location, this hotel is comfortable, clean, inviting, and unique. We will definitely stay here again. Our room and the hallways look great. They've kept the dignity of the old building without compromising comfort or cleanliness. The details in the ceilings and decor make our room a wonderful place to be. We loved to come into the room and have bottles of water, tea and coffee, popcorn, and mints available to us included with the room. The wi-fi works well, the staff is incredibly helpful. The bath ammenities are a great quality. The bathroom is large. I'm writing in short bursts because I'm so pleased. We can't wait to come back. read more

On a Saturday night, everything else was completely booked in Jerome. We were lucky enough to secure a room last minutely in the Connor Hotel (Room #7). And lucky were we! You enter the hotel through the gift shop. The women in the lobby/gift shop were so pleasant to speak to and very warm & welcoming. The gift shop has some of the most unique and charming little items I've ever seen and I even ended up picking up something for myself. The building has kept its aged old charm. The floor and steps quietly squeak and I'll be damned if that's not the original flowery carpeting. Our room was nothing short of cozy albeit spacious. We opened the windows to let a nice, cool breeze in. The bed was big, soft and you'll sink right in. The room, despite its age, was very clean and well taken care of. This room was the room that we said we felt the most "at home" in during our entire trip in the Southwest, a welcome experience. We're bathroom snobs honestly and the bathroom was absolutely PRISTINE and spacious. Even though we didn't use them, the tub had jets in it. They provided us with L'Occitane hair/body care products, fanceh. There were even little towels wrapped nicely that said "for makeup removal"-- how thoughtful. There was a coffee maker in the room that we did not use, and there was popcorn and a bowl to make popcorn with the microwave in the room. There was a mini fridge we did use. There was also a flat screen TV we did not use. The room was equipped with an old time gas stove for heating which we did not need. The AC unit was above the door and worked well. There was also a fan on the ceiling that kept the air flowing nicely. We loved the (original? don't know) ceiling in the room. Also Room #7 is above Caduceus Cellars and far from the Connor Hotel bar, so no worries about noise. We can't say we encountered any paranormal activity, but we've heard over and over that a lady haunts the place. We would have given 4.5 stars if possible because it was a little pricey for what you get, but we were taken last minutely which was a huge relief. So rounded up to 5 stars. Would definitely stay again! read more

The Connor Hotel is a 100+ year old building, so there are some limitation to what the rooms can provide, but within those limitations, the hotel has stuffed the rooms with as many amenities as possible. Our room had a flat screen tv, mini-fridge, microwave, hair dyer and a coffee pot in addition to plenty of furniture for a comfortable stay. There was also complimentary bottles of water and microwave popcorn along with the more standard tea and coffee. The towels were so soft I actually asked the front desk where the came from. There was even a BOGO coupon for a local restaurant. We stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay. One word of warning, they are not kidding that the rooms over the bar can be noisy up until 10-midnight or so. I almost knocked off a star, but the hotel website clearly discloses which rooms are above the bar and that noise may be a factor. We were staying during the week so I didn't think it would be an issues, but we are semi-early birds so it did. We were warned though, so our fault. I would stay here again, but I would choose one of the rooms farther from the bar. read more

Great hotel. We went a on a family girls getaway and where looking for a cute authentic, cool place to stay in Jerome and we found it. Very reasonably priced in comparison to other hotels in the area. Even AirBnB's were more expensive for what you get. Check in was easy. We were greeted by a very kind, warm lady. The room was very clean. The bed super comfortable and big. The bathroom was clean and bright. We stayed in room 5. There is a great view of main street. When booking the room, I phoned in and the lady was very informative and helped us choose a room that was perfect. Chocolates, popcorn, coffee, shampoo, everything you would need for a wonderful stay. The bar below was not a bother at all. No noise and a separate entrance from the hotel was good as I was traveling with 2 under aged ladies. We can't wait to visit again. A nice little hop from Phoenix for us. read more

My boyfriend and I have stayed here twice before. It can be a little pricey, but its totally worth it. The staff was sweet and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and have a vintage feel but have nice TV's, are well stocked, and have nice AC and heating. I highly recommend this hotel! Really nice place in a historic building with character. Stayed in room 8 towards the back. As others have said, the rooms above the bar are loud. The rooms like 12 and 8 are not located above the bar, and are dead quite. Nice touches like popcorn and chocolate waiting for you when you arrive. Parking was easy enough (which is saying a lot in Jerome). Staff were friendly. Recommended. read more

It is a historic hotel, which I find attractive...antiques etc....not to mention its perfect locations to get out and eat, drink and be merry...staying over is required if you plan on doing the above. First let me first recommend that the drive is best made in a convertible or on the front (or back) of a motorcycle. Even a light rain with the top down could not wipe the relaxed smiles off our faces on the return trip home. After 158 turns ( we didn't really count them ) at 20- 30 miles an hour......one last blind curve opens onto a view across the valley floor that requires a picture, and a thousand words to describe. Suddenly you are in the heart of this history rich town. Jerome, known for it's ghosts, bars and a beautiful collection of Harley Davidson's ( and Those Others Bikes ) that seem to change in number and variety while the afternoon band breaks down and the next bands sets up. Finding the hotel entrance was difficult as the band tried to draw us in for a cold beer and live rock and roll at The Spirit Room, located below the Hotel Connor. With a pleasant greeting from the hotel host and a welcome to my Tibetan Terrier ( I believe this is the only pet friendly hotel on the hillside) we moved through the gift shop to our room upstairs. In the hallway a friendly housekeeping staff, smiled and turned back to clipping cut roses for each room's small arrangement. The surprise behind our door was a king sized bed and a perfect room in decor and function. a high back chair near the street view window was a great perch to watch the locals, who seem to gather at the town park across the street to drink beer ( yes, it's allowed in the park ) and watch the tourists, if they run out of things to talk about. The Bed was comfortable and extra pillows (already provided) made watching the 32" ceiling mounted plasma screen even more comfortable. Coffee maker, with real creamers (in the frig), chocolates and microwave popcorn were there if needed and the bathroom with large bathtub was among the cleanest I have ever thrown a wet towel on the floor in. Everything is within walking distance in Jerome. Parking was a challenge at first, but with a little patience we manage to park directly in front of the hotel and only returned reluctantly to the car to drive away from a perfect weekend getaway. read more

Wow. What a great find. Reasonable prices, incredible staff, clean and charming rooms. Perfect location and concierge very informative about restaurants and local stuff. Its obvious he loves his job and life. Great recommendations. Love the nice linens, free upgrade, and l'occitane supplies ( and ample fluffy towels) and the old west ambience is well worth the price. I thought I had rated this hotel but realized I had only discussed the wonderful Spirit Room. The Connor Hotel is incredible. We stayed in the larger Room 12, with a great view, room, big TV, coffee maker, microwave- you name it. The room was quaint, quiet, clean, and everything a person could hope for. Yes, it is older, but that is why people stay here, it's authentic. If you want the 5 star glitzy hotel, then bypass Jerome completely. The staff at the Connor are warm, and friendly. We definitely want to stay again in the future. read more

Stayed here this weekend for my first trip to Jerome and will definitely stay here again. I had room 5 and was very happy. Loved the little special touches like the chocolates, the microwave popcorn, and the lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Room 5 does not have a window, but has a skylight. I am one of those who doesn't like ambient noise when I sleep and Room 5 was great for me- no worries about street noise and I had no disturbance from the Spirit Room either- and my bed was very comfortable. The room was really cozy too, didn't need much heat to warm it up (and it was in the 30s that night) I was initially worried about the older plumbing but the shower had great pressure and the water was nice and hot. Great location, easy to get to and parking wasn't a problem. read more

We've been through Jerome many, many times but have never stayed overnight. We gave this place a try and it is wonderful. We were greeted by John, very friendly very helpful. We stayed in room #12 which has the best view! Room was quite comfy with lots of little special touches. In room coffee maker, small fridge for water bottles etc., microwave with complimentary popcorn and a couple of chocolates! We brought wine to enjoy and although there were no wine glasses we ended up using the coffee cups. It really wouldn't take much to put a few disposable water cups in the bathroom. We will definitely consider staying here again. read more

A couple of weeks later out of the blue she contacted me again to refund my money and to tell me that although the feedback was hard to hear, she made a decision to go completely non-smoking. Love this hotel!! First night we stayed in room 1, and switching to room 5 the next day. The front desk called at 10am, and said that room 5 was ready! We were able to switch rooms right away. The housekeeping staff is great! It's our 5th anniversary and they had a dessert and wine waiting for us. Totally made our weekend. We look forward to staying here again. The hotel itself was fine - comfortable, in the middle of Jerome, plenty of amenities. However, the reason it gets 3 stars is because we were not warned about the live music that goes on every night directly underneath at the bar. When we checked in, the woman who greeted us told us about it (too late!) and said that it would only be 9PM to 11PM but it is now nearly 12AM and it hasn't stopped. Probably not the best place for kids. read more

Super friendly staff, Perfect central location in Jerome. Clean rooms. We stayed in room #2, over top of the spirit room, but it was very quiet that night. No problems at all. The room is a nice suite with plenty of room. The bathroom is a little small, but what do you expect from a 100 year old hotel. Didnt experience any paranormal activity. :) Except maybe one guy that was always getting ice everytime I went into the hallway, But I think he was alive and well. Would definitely stay here again the next time. read more

stayed here because the girlfriend was too scared to stay at the famously haunted Jerome Grand. so we get there kinda late and as we walk up to the second floor to check out our room, the hallway is filled with a group of people on a ghost hunt, who proceed to tell that all of their little ghost gizmos went off at the same time in front of that door right there---- oh, the door we are about to go into? yes, that door. so i slept well. the gf slept about two hours total. flat screen tv with directv, surprising comfy bed and pillows (why do pillows at other hotels always suck so hard?), and a nice warm blanket that allowed us to sleep with the window open. great location, right in the middle of town, and a really cool old victorian hippie lady who checked us in (who actually may have been a ghost herself) and told us some weird stories. and their is live music in the spirit room downstairs, which was fun, and even though we went back to our room early, we couldnt hear the music from the room. read more

This place looks like the best balance of high quality and reasonable prices on Yelp, and I am convinced that that's accurate. This very Historic Hotel, like the rest of Jerome, is sliding down the hill. It makes for a very interesting experience with walls that aren't quite straight, floors that are bumpy, or possibly just some bad Sawzall carpentry. Our room (Room 9) is spacious and has a comfortable bed, nice bathroom, beautiful furniture, interesting skylight with a shade you can close, although no other windows to the outside world. It was nice and quiet on a Saturday night despite the really loud bro country cover band playing in the bar downstairs. We were happy about that cuz we go to bed early. I am tempted to only give four stars because the lobby is Thoroughly unimpressive - just a crappy gift shop and if you're like me you might wander around for a while looking for the actual Lobby. That cash register is it! But I'm not going to ding this place because I looked at the Grand Hotel and their Lobby is not impressive either and mostly a gift shop tourist trap. For $140 after taxes and stuff it's a good value compared to the competition. read more

For the last leg of our cross country drive, my sister and I (with my two black labs) booked room #6 for New Year's Day 2010. The room was large with two queen beds, ample floor space, and a huge bathroom. The down comforters and soft pillows were much appreciated. While the room faced the street, even on a Friday night, the car and foot traffic was not loud and we couldn't hear any of the noise from the Spirit Room (located downstairs). The walls were thin and we could hear folks knocking around in the adjacent rooms, but it wasn't enough to be disturbing or bothersome. In the morning, the maid stopped us in the hallway to give us treats for the dogs. We were surprised by the accommodations given the pet-friendly status. The side entrance (located between the shop and the Spirit Room) was great and afforded us easy in/out access with the dogs. After several days on the road, the Connor Hotel was a real treat and I (and the dogs) look forward to returning to Jerome again soon. read more

Very nice room, managed to maintain the historic look in the rooms yet have the modern amenities. After reading the reviews we had booked room 12, it was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The fireplace was a nice, and room 12 was a very quiet location as well (the comments about certain rooms that are above the Spirit room that are very loud is very accurate, but the hotel makes it very clear what you are getting into with those rooms). If you are looking for the Ritz Carlton you won't find that in Jerome, but if you want a unique experience in a unique town the Connor is a great choice. read more

Rude and unknowledgeable staff. Ownership clearly not much better nor are they geared towards custom satisfaction. The quality of customer service just seems to have fallen off completely. Yellow sheets, stinky smoke filled halls and rooms. Shame, I used to really like this place... having stayed in literally every place in Jerome, I can tell you... don't waste your time here.. there are many nicer and less expensive places with friendlier staff, cleaner rooms and better views. read more

Who would think that such an old and historic hotel could be so clean with all the modern conveniences. Parking is a little difficult but come after 5pm when shops close. Extremely convenient to great restaurants and shops that only Jerome can have. Awesome shop in the lobby. read more

First of all, yes this hotel is haunted, there is no denying it. Electronics spazzing randomly, ghostly figures being spotted throughout, and strange spiritual sensations, but that does not take away from the awesome hospitality the living beings that run this place offer. We have stayed her well over 5 times and every time we have been in room 2. Awesome comfy bed, and great flat screen Directv with all the best channels. The sitting room in this room is spacious with a couch and a mini bar that was always stocked with FREE popcorn and dinner mints upon our arrival. There's clear dishes and a working mini bar sink and great views, that real old west feel since this hotel is over 100 years old and was an old stagecoach stop. I absolutely love staying at this hotel and I can't wait to stay again! read more
