Connie's cute light up sign.

3 things! The staff made me feel dumb when I tried to order a Super Sundae and JB's Texas turtle. Maybe they heard me say something different. I was pretty sure I said what I wanted correctly. Second, whoever is sourcing their nuts? Fire them. They taste old. Whoever the nut supplier is for the ORIGINAL Connie's Frozen Custard off Jones and Cypress North Houston? Get that supplier. Cause these pecans are NOT IT. Third, they have a 4% surcharge for credit card payment. Get rid of the surcharge, please! I've tried this location twice and had my fill. I'll just keep going to the original Connie's Frozen Custard on Jones Rd.

Parking available out front, there is no access to the inside, you go up to the window and place your order, then go over to the window on the right. There is no seating outside either. I ordered a regular vanilla custard sundae with banana, strawberries, and heath bar, it was so delish. I definitely recommend this place if you have s sweet tooth!

I was SO excited to find out Connie's opened up this new location. Similar to their original location, it's a walk up + order at the window situation, and they also have a drive through. There's no proper seating, but there's a seat wall. It's in a plaza, so there's ample parking. Their frozen custards are top tier and reasonably priced because they are generous in portion. It's smooth, creamy, and goes well with every topping. If you haven't had the chance to visit Connie's, do yourself a favor and give it a try. You won't regret it. It was pretty busy when I went on a sunny Sunday afternoon, but they move fast and they're friendly as always. Glad to see some familiar faces behind the counter!

And what better place than the shop I used to go to back in the 90's. Now I've never been to the woodlands location before. It's in that waterway district near the mall and so parking was sure to be a B. But this being thanksgiving week it actually wasn't half bad. The shop is smaller than the Richmond location. But that's just more goodness compressed into a TLP. There are no birthday specials alas. But they did have some free samples of tiramisu. It was good but I had to get my favorites. J's birthday cake and the Big O. The birthday cake is thicker like brownie than some of the other chocolate cakes. I can't describe the frosting this go around because my punk kid at all the frosting off it while my attention was focused on the Big O. But the cake part was moist. As for the Big O it was Ooooohhh. No When Harry Met Sally diner scene experience. But it was F'n awesome. Staff was super helpful and nice. Wanted to eat more but my blood sugar wouldn't tolerate it.

I shared with the person behind the counter that there is a nut allergy in our family and she was helpful in telling us what to avoid. Tip-- they did share that they don't regularly disclose if something that nuts (peanuts or tree nuts) so if you have an allergy, make sure you tell them so they can help! There were a small set of tables to sit inside and enjoy your treats if you wanted to. We got a variety of things to share, tres leches (this is okay, a little sweet and pretty standard), tiramisu, pecan pie bar (delicious but crumbly/messy to eat), Oreo truffles and confetti truffles (my nieces and nephew absolutely loved these)! It was pretty pricey, but always happy to support local businesses!

Le Emperor saved our butts this past Valentines Day. While the day began with other plans, a very…read moresick foster pup forced us to cancel our dinner reservation and order local. After a lot of back and forth my partner and I finally agreed on Le Emperor. Confined to the house, we were limited to placing an order for takeout or delivery. While I didn't voice my opinion at the time, I was concerned that the takeout experience would put a damper on the meal. I was wrong. The mango salad is now a new favorite of mine, and a dish I strongly suggest ordering. The flavors are bright, and acidic, sweet, yet savory. The dish hits all of the right notes. My husband ordered the vermicelli. It was his first experience with vermicelli and to my surprise he tackled most of the dish without adding the accompanying sauce. My salmon was equally satisfying. While we were sad to see the former business go, we're so happy to find Le Emperor a fitting replacement. We will be back!

Guuyyyyys, super disappointed!!…read more I used to live in the area and would visit ALL THE TIME! So much that the waiter knew my order and even my favorite seat! Went back today after many months and the food was super bland. Even the char grilled pork in the spring rolls was bland and also not as meaty as I remember. I didn't have time for a large pho so I asked for a small, which in my defense most restaurants have. Welp, not this one. Apparently, it's only large or Kids portion. Needless to say, my long anticipated dinner was unsatisfactory. The only thing that was as good as I remembered, the creme brûlée!! The service as always is so pleasant, they are always so friendly and kind. The environment as always quiet and welcoming with a touch of class.
