Cute little cafe right by the Burquitlam station. Their coffee and drinks are really good! Bold coffee flavour and if you liked their specially drinks they have something different each or every other week! I recently tried their banana split latte frapp and it was sooo good! Definitely has the tare of banana and it surprisingly worked really well with the latte! The cafe also recently sells these specialty croissants made by elmo baking every Saturday. It is definitely not your regular croisant! I tried the peanut butter and jam twice baked croissaant and it was heaven! Stuffed with peanut butter and strawberry jam inside and loaded with peanuts on top!! If you are not allergic to peanuts I highly recommend trying this light toasted or heated up! read more

Hidden gem in this neighbourhood (burquitlam), especially because this area lacks in having good coffee places. Loved the small, cozy interior and pleasant barista. I had latte which was good, but it tasted little diluted maybe because the mug was too big. read more

TL;DR: small cafe, good coffee, friendly barista, not the best wifi. Seating: Since this isn't that busy of an area (yet; I expect it to be much busier once the Burquitlam station opens), they don't have too many seats, but currently it's plenty for the number of customers that visit. Coffee: I believe the barista roasts the beans and prepares the tea leaves herself. They have huge burlap bags you can see, and I've heard her mention to a customer that inquired about spicier chai teas that she currently is preparing some and they're stored in the freezer at the moment. They sell whole coffee beans, which you can see on display on a shelf to the left when you enter, and they also sell French presses and some other products. This is also probably the only cafe nearby that has flat whites on their menu (yum)! Pretty unique fall specials too: maple almond latte, gingerbread latte, caramel ginger spice latte. Service: Always friendly. Not overly friendly, but I think she warms up to you the more often she's seen you. Also be sure to grab their loyalty cards to get stamps! I believe buy 10 drinks, get the 11th free? Other: Their wifi network name and password are written on the chalkboard in front of the counter, and even though I've been here as the only customer before, the wifi is never too fast. It's not the worst I've experienced, but if you're here to do work, I'd suggest mainly doing work that's not dependent on the Internet or only occasionally needs it. Drinks and food is 'not bad' but expensive. They charge more than Starbucks (hard to believe, right?). I went in for a Chai latte and a scone and was a little surprised when it came to over $8.00. The drink was only a 12 oz. (the small one) and that was $5 because I asked for oat milk. The owner charged me extra for the oat milk (she didn't have almond and maybe it's less expensive?) and although I asked for it sweetened, I had to add stevia when I got home. Now...I'm all for shopping local and from non-corporate small businesses, I really am, but when you ask for more money and your product isn't superior, or if you don't have something else that would make me want to buy from you (like customer service?) I'm going to question why I pay more. Maybe your baked goods are made there and fresh. Nope, not the case! So I mentioned that they were a little pricey. The owner was immediately defensive and said: "Oh?! And why is that?!" I said...well, you tell me? I have no idea! She chose to ignore my question and in a huff, turned her back (clearly upset that someone should dare ask such a thing) and made my tea and handed me my scone. Did I mention the place was completely empty and even though the door was open, the 'closed' sign was up? I, too, am in business and sell products and services (over 30-years). If I'm more expensive than my competitor, I have a good reason. Or...I match their price or do better. I am also a small business owner (on the side) and would never be rude to a client who questioned my fees. There is a reason for them and I'll happily explain why I charge what I do. I get that renting a storefront, employing staff, etc - is expensive but if you're not packed full of patrons...it's time to ask yourself why and re-think your business plan rather than upping your prices. Just my 2 cents; I'll take my business across the street to Starbucks - much as it pains me. If there is one thing that will turn me off it's an attitude and if that attitude comes from the owner? I came here with a friend and our babies. She lives nearby and we wanted to go somewhere with good coffee. I must say I was really disappointed. I ordered a pour over and usually take my coffee black, but it was not smooth at all. No high chairs for the babies and no changing table in the bathroom. Muffins were definitely not fresh. There was an article in the December 2nd edition of Vancity Buzz about coffee shops close the Evergreen Line. Now that there is a line that makes it easier to go to Coquitlam this foodie can expand outside the Vancouver and Burnaby area. From the outside it doesn't look like much, however, inside is basic and a down to earth feel. It took me a bit to get there only 'cause I didn't want to pay more than one zone on a weekday, therefore, this was a weekend adventure while riding the new Evergreen line. The place is small but fucntionable with respectable amount of seating. I had a cup of tea and my good friend had a London Fog. We both worked on some crafts and just shot the shit. Prices were reasonable and so was the customer service. Love this hidden gem. read more

So trying to find a good coffee place in the city isn't as easy as you think!! I'm friend found this one looking online for a better coffee cafe and we decided to try it. Now I'm not a "coffee snob" but most coffees you buy from other places are barely ok. We walked into this funky little coffee spot and it smelled amazing in there! The aroma of coffee was sooo inviting, you really wanted to order one of every style of brew!! And their selection of beans was something I've never seen before, but I was told this style of coffee brewery and roaster is what is happening now. Finally!!! So my friend made his selection and the barista was preparing his and asked if I had decided on a bean and how I wanted it brewed. Omg, I'm in coffee heaven!!! I picked a very dark roast, full bodied and strong and I wanted it through the Aeropresse which I have at home! Great little item and makes a great cup of coffee! So she finished both our coffees and out the door we went. We sipped those coffees for probably a good half hour to 45 mins and the last sip was just as good as the first one! I know I'll be back when I'm passing through that area! Best coffee ever!!! read more

What a pleasant surprise! Needed to grab a cuppa by the Burquitlam skytrain and found this open (on a holiday). Had their special for that day Banana Split Latte. Just the right amount of sweetness but more importantly had a unique taste. They also had a Honey Blossom Latte which looked interesting, will have to go back for that. I'll probably go out of my again to pay that coffee shop a visit. read more

1) really really tasty coffee 2) friendly service 3) heavenly aroma when she is roasting.. wish that was ALL the time my husband and his friend found this place as it's right by a bike shop. we buy our beans and ground coffee here as well as our drink-now and to go coffee. our friend has a fancy coffee whose name he can't get right so he and Lynn agreed to call it "Bob" - that's what he orders, "Bob". my husband varies his drink, even has tea sometimes. i love the café au lait. i had one to go the other day and didn't finish it, and the cold remainder was totally delicious later that day.they have a nice selection of baked goods though we don't often buy any. driving back from the valley, a friend and i decided we had *just* enough time to get there right at closing time, so i phoned in our orders and she had them ready for us. big clean washroom. and there's one table and a water dish outside, dog friendly! unless that table is taken... read more

the fresh coffee roasted on site is the best possible coffee. i buy the 1 pound size-usually Peru organic. The swiss water decaf is great coffee too-in 8 oz size for night-time drinking. I've had the avacado salad and buffalo mozzerela/tomato sandwich for lunch-or supper as they are open til 7. i didnt know that my heartburn at other coffee shops after coffee was from old coffee. never any issues after fresh roasted from Lynn. i have been saved from agony with Lynns coffee. wonderful. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday and was not disappointed. Cute little shop with a nice variety of goodies. We had a pb and j croissant which was amazing! Crispy on the outside and just enough pb and j. My hubby had a veggie samosa and said it was delish. I ordered a salted caramel mocha and it delivered on the salted, caramel and mocha flavours. My hubby had the banana split latte, cold and blended. It had a good banana flavour which went well with the coffee. We'll come back! read more

This is a small but very appealing little cafe tucked away in a strip mall near Burquitlam. The quality of the coffee served here is first class and we took home a pound of freshly roasted coffee beans which has proved to be excellent. Support local! But feel free to demand quality in the meantime too. Luckily this particular coffeeshop provides its customers with ability to do both. At least, this is the impression that I got on my first try. Unfortunately I am less of a coffee connoisseur and more of a coffee aficionado, so I'll let others comment specifically on the quality of coffee. As for other merits of this coffeeshop, they are there and they are are ample. While the place is pretty small, there is enough sitting area for those willing to linger, and I personally think of making regular trips here for my one-on-one sessions with my laptop. The service is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. There are quite a few pastries to choose from, and a few savoury options, according to their blackboard menu. The location is great for those of us based in this part of the city and not too keen on getting their coffee from a chain coffeeshop. There are quite a few parking spots in the front as it's a part of a small shopping area. And music in the background is just right. So, whether you are in a hurry and just want to grab a coffee on the go or need to get away from home for a bit, consider heading to this place. I am glad I have. read more
