(1/5) I bought a…read moreused car from Miami Autos -- 3333 NW 27th Ave, Miami, FL 33142 on August 13, 2025, and my experience was a disaster from the very beginning. The owner, Ozzie Vargas, convinced me to travel from West Palm with the promise that with $1,000 I would drive out the same day. They ended up selling me a 2019 Chevy Trax that was not suitable for my family of six children and that turned out to have damages, missing parts, and serious mechanical problems. Facts: * I was approved through a new bank (Kane Financial) that never contacted me; the paperwork and the license plate were left pending. * They added an additional loan through Flexflow, supposedly for insurance, with extremely high interest and weekly payments. * Two days later, the oil light turned on; shortly after, the car wouldn't start without a portable charger. * Mechanics found missing lug nuts on the wheels (accident risk), a damaged alternator, and a rear bumper repaired with glue (signs of a previous accident). * More than a month passed without receiving the plate, until I discovered at the DMV that the vehicle had a lien/hold. * I lost my source of income, temporary housing, and personal belongings when a tow truck took the car without any notice. If necessary, I will continue sharing this experience on all platforms to prevent other families from going through the same thing. -- Reynaldo Piris Machicote

WARNING TO FLORIDA CONSUMERS -- CARVANA…read more In March 2026 I purchased a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Carvana for $29,990. Within four days and 250 miles the brakes were violently shaking and the AC was failing. Two independent certified mechanics and Carvana's own warranty provider Silver Rock confirmed all four brake rotors were warped and dangerous and the AC system had an active refrigerant leak. Here is what makes this worse -- Carvana's own 150-point inspection conducted just 15 days before the sale certified eight safety-critical items as passing. Every single one was confirmed defective. What Carvana did: Sold me a vehicle with dangerous safety defects that their own inspection missed or ignored Took my trade-in keys before I could access the replacement vehicle -- preventing any real inspection or test drive Required me to drive a vehicle with confirmed defective brakes on public roads as a condition of returning it -- with full knowledge of those defects Offered no accountability for the failed inspection Never compensated for approximately $2,000 in permanent financial losses resulting from the transaction What I did: Filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (ID# 24692878) Filed a formal complaint with the Florida Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division Filed a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission Sent a certified mail rejection of their arbitration clause preserving my right to pursue legal action After extensive documentation and escalation Carvana ultimately returned my money. But the inspection failure, the dangerous drive requirement, and the trade-in key practice that prevents customers from test driving their vehicle remain completely unaddressed and unacknowledged. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from Carvana -- do your research first. Get an independent inspection immediately upon delivery. Document everything. And know your rights under Florida's consumer protection laws. #Carvana #ConsumerWarning #FloridaConsumers #FDUTPA #BuyerBeware
