More than that - it takes a whole team of people who care about you as a person -- people who actually care about how important hearing is to you, in particular, Over the years, Soundwave has gone well beyond the call of duty to help me hear the world. Most recently my hearing aids just seemed to give up. But I was in BC. No local audiologists wanted to touch a product they don't sell. I shipped the hearing aids by Express Mail to Soundwave. They came back working as good as new. The local audiologist wanted $850 to touch my hearing aids. Soundwave never mentioned a fee. More importantly, was the difference in attitude. The local outfit wanted my money. Soundwave appreciated the problem and helped solve it. If you are looking for hearing aids, my advice is to do what I did. Evaluate the support and "bedside manner". It's far more important in the long run than price.

I recalled seeing the Acadia Dental bus seat signs so I Googled them first and called for an appointment. The receptionist got me in at 3pm the same day! I was very pleased with the quick service, the dentist and his staff are very professional and I felt welcome. Best of all, my crown was fixed and I was no longer feeling any pain. Margaret Tsang, a total sweetheart, conducted the assessment. I felt bad for her because the clinic secretary was away for the day and I was the first appointment, so she had get the office up and running and find new client intake forms, etc. The office is nice with beautiful views of the river. They even have tea and snacks in the waiting area. I found the entire assessment process really interesting and Margaret took time to answer extra questions I had which were unrelated to me. Margaret even looked up info and offered resources. She did a great job of explaining my tinnitus and other weird things going on with my right ear. By the time I left, I was relieved that I wasn't broken and there was a legit cause for what is going on. I was given a copy of my results to take home. This clinic is easy to find but if you want to park in the lot, you have to pay. I found free parking two blocks away.

I visited them a couple months ago to get ear impressions made for a set of custom headphones and the service was excellent. They even gave me a free hearing test with the ear impressions. I went back recently because they impressions I got made the first time were not the correct ones for the specific headphones I ordered, so they made a new set of impressions and they absorbed the cost because they weren't familiar with the requirements of Ultimate Ears headphones.!
