I rented a car from this location a few months ago. A couple months later, they emailed me a bill for alleged damage. I informed them I had video proof that the car was in pristine condition upon return and provided them with video. They failed to email me clear, detailed photos showing this damage. Each time they email me a photo of the car with NO damage. I have gone back and forth with them and they are total scammers. After researching online, I am now aware this story is all too similar. I have read copious amounts of customer complaints exactly like mine. They bully customers into paying extra fees with no burden of proof. Avoid this rental company all together.

Just as an FYI Sixt is renovating their offices so understand you have to walk into a courtyard off 10 Rue de la Paix to find the location on your right hand side, fairly easy to find. We arrived around 9:30AM to get our rental car which we had reserved weeks prior. Prabin Shapkota greeted us with a great upbeat attitude. He was very informative and helped ease any anxiety we had about renting a car. I usually never get the protection or road side assistance, this was the first time I did. I didn't want to break down in a location in France with no help especially with my family in the car. The peace of mind it had was well worth it. We rented an AUDI Q5 SB 40 and it was the right decision. Most cars are very small in France and Europe and I am 6'3" which makes picking a car very difficult. This car had more room than I needed and was quite luxurious. The car had some damage to the door and a small chip on the windshield, all that was already noted on the contract. The car drove great and was a diesel, there are many fill stations on the auto routes and they all had a diesel option. Upon returning the car after hours you have to take the car to a parking garage that is just up the street. If you are looking directly at the rental location you first rented from, it is just downt] the street to the right of 10 Rue de la Paix. It is an underground parking garage on the left hand side as you enter it is very narrow so take your time. You will go to -2 floor as you drive down. When you get to the return floor you will see Orange Sixt signs on the wall to your left -as seen in the photos. Park your car and don't forget to leave your parking tag from the garage on the dash. Then you will see the elevators to your Left if you park on the wall and backed in like I did- see pictures. Then you will see a bright Orange Sixt key drop box it's impossible to miss. Then you're all set. Just wanted to give another bit of praise Prabin Shapkota for making this experience stess free and he was willing to help every step of the way.

I drove extremely safe, with no incident, no issues with the vehicle throughout the entire experience. A few weeks later once I was back home in California I received an email stating that they would be charging my card an additional 650 EUR (which was around the same price as the total rental fee) for alleged damages. I've tried to call countless times and they either don't pick up, or put me on hold until I'm forced to hang up. I took pictures of the car before and after- zero damages! I've requested a damages report so I can even understand what I'm being charged for and they ignore all communications. Zero report, no evidence provided, just an invoice. The whole thing seems very exploitive and deceitful.. very frustrated and will absolutely never give them my business again. I highly recommend using any other travel agency!! 0/10 stars. Heureusement, je suis couvert par une assurance via Chase Sapphire, mais personne ne devrait avoir à gérer ce genre de désagrément pour un dommage qu'il n'a pas causé. I returned my car to SIXT at Paris Orly Airport on time, in good condition, and was told at pickup that any damages would be handled immediately at drop-off. Days later, I received a notice of a "new" scratch on the rear door that wasn't mentioned by any staff and was supposedly caught by an automated system--after the car had already left my custody. This isn't the first time this has happened with SIXT. A similar issue occurred previously and was dropped after I pushed back. It's starting to feel like a pattern of manufactured damage claims used to charge unsuspecting travelers after the fact. Fortunately, I'm covered by Chase Sapphire insurance, but no one should have to go through this hassle for something that wasn't their fault. If you rent from SIXT, take thorough photos/video at pickup and drop-off--and consider going with a more transparent rental agency.

When we picked up the car they indicated that the car had a damaged windshield. The damage report only showed a red dot in the middle of the windshield. When we went to drop off the car an inspector spent about 10 minutes inspecting every inch of the car and said that there was another nick in the windshield that wasn't there previously. He showed me the nick it was approximately 1 millimeter wide. I said the damage report indicated that the windshield was already damaged. He said no this is new damage. He then showed us a damage estimate of almost 900 euros or almost $1000. This is a 1 mm nick in an already damaged windshield. I contested it and when I got home I found the charge on my credit card. I contested the charge. $1000. This seems to be recurring theme with them. Beware do not rent from Avis.
