The decor is minimal and outdated, but nothing out of the ordinary. The place is clean and not grimy or dusty at all. There's a few seating areas. There are four seats at the front, 2 at each end by the windows at the entrance way with a small table on each side of the wall. There's another small table with 2 seats at the center. There was a person sleeping in one chair and all the other chairs were mostly occupied. I just waited in my car until the laundry stopped since there really isn't a place to stand around otherwise. As far as I could tell, there weren't TV's, newspapers, magazines, or vending machines (probably as a covid safety precaution). Everything you need such as soap or dryer sheets you'll have to pay in person at the service counter. Some of the washers and dryers have been around the block for awhile for sure (old). I saw there were more than a few machines that were "out of order". Most of them, like 90% of them, appeared to be in good working condition. They use the old school coin slot type of payment where you put your dollar coins in the slot and push the metal slot thing that sticks out of the washing machine manually with your hand. Sometimes the slots get jammed so you'd have to push it in a few times. I came with an elderly family member who hasn't used a laundromat in decades so she asked the staff there how to operate the washing machine. The staff lady was pretty nice about it and was glad to help. Her English skills were somewhat limited so she just put in the soap for her and put in the coins instead of simply explaining it. Not sure why some online reviews said the service was bad or even creepy but I really have no complaints about the staff here. We used the jumbo washing machine (which is really big) which costs $8 in loonies. The clothes came out VERY wet but clean. The jumbo washing machine was done in 40 minutes. Overall, not a bad place at all to get your clothes clean at a laundromat. 3.5/5 rounded up to 4.
