80% of the machines are out of order (and have been for 3 years) and the ones that do work smell strongly of mold. This place is disgusting. Shameful. read more

Love the lady that looks after this place. Just discovered the drop off a month ago and did a stack of blankets. I was in no hurry and gave her four days and she had it next day and called to say it's all ready. Very quick turn around and reasonable price for being in the city. I will return as she said you can drop in the morning and it can be ready by 6pm folded. Wow! See many in doing their own laundry as well but not what we needed help with. Oaksville Laundromat was very clean and well maintained. I have my own washing machine at home, but I will definitely be back to this place should I ever require a laundromat again. This time, I took my laundry in to be washed by the staff. The attendant I spoke to was friendly and professional. Spring time means spring cleaning, which means my yearly washing of blankets, comforters, and pillows. Since I live in a tiny apartment with a tiny washer and dryer I had to shlep my stuff to a laundry mat. I've been pass Oaksville Laundromat a couple of times and noted that things are clean and tidy in there, so I decided to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed. All the machines and folding surfaces were clean. The attendant on duty was quick to wipe up any fly-a-way lint and spilled detergent. There is a little sitting area with magazines to pass the time while waiting for your clothes. There are also some cafes and grocery stores nearby if you don't want to wait around. read more

Used two different washers: one front load the other top. Both set to warm. Both were ice cold: no warm water. The top load did not spin the water off the clothes either: clothes were soaking wet. Also, multiple dryers out of order so a wait for that. read more

I use a laundromat only for washing my down items, and I've been happy with the service and facilities at Oaksville. The place is very clean and the attendants have been helpful. There's seating and Shaw go wifi for you to use while you wait. (Or you can go next door for a beer or across the street for bubble tea.) read more

Not a terrible backup option, but washers, especially the 2.50 per load(cheapest and smallest/standard top-load option) were pretty ancient with a very short cycle that failed to remove much water. Larger front load machines at the 4.50 price point seemed a bit old as well, and neither machine(top load and front load) had any sort of timer to indicate when the cycle would be complete(maybe this explains why every top load machine was full of clothes, cycle completed, and unattended when i arrived). Lots of water retention with front load machines as well(great way to make more money off drying?) Machine settings were very limited. Facility was clean and comfortable, service was slightly rude. read more

I really like coming here. It's clean and the machines aren't ancient which is pretty much my only criteria for a laundromat and believe me, it's hard to find. Did I mention how clean it is? I visited another laundromat in Burnaby a few times (before I moved to Vancouver) and had a really pleasant experience because the owner is so lovely BUT cobwebs everywhere. Was scared to fold my laundry in certain parts of the laundromat. This one, spotless. I actually pay a dollar more per load compared to the machines in my building but when my clothes come out of the dryer they don't smell musty and so that makes all the difference for me. Also my building uses those ludicrous smart cards that can only be refilled at like 4 locations in all of Vancouver- but I digress- I do recommend this laundromat. Oh, also, if you choose to drop off your laundry they weight it infront of you so you know exactly how much you will be charged (but they only take cash) which I like because I always wonder how they come up with the charges at other locations. read more

This has become my community laundry mat and is so great all around, that it has spoiled me for other places when I travel. I once had an unexpected issue with their wash and fold service but they were quick to remedy the anomaly. I was very impressed with the customer service, it as clean and efficient at their overall operation. I didn't expect such professionalism from a laundry place, but they really delivered and now they have my full attention, respect, and loyalty. Thanks Oaksville, for bringing and maintaining great standards to the community!! When I have new tenants move in at first they are sometimes discouraged to hear they will have to do their laundry outside the apartment, but I always assure them this is a very pleasant and even restful and peaceful place to spend a bit of time. With restaurants and grocery and bakery nearby (I think the shwarma place has 5$ wine and the Japanese place next door has a $5 appetizer), a pharmacy and post office next door too, a person can get lots of errands done while they wait!! And the wait is not long... I found both their washers and dryers to be the fastest I have used. Many of my clients have now switched over to using their wash and fold service, and we're all very happy with it. Keep rocking it over there!!! :) read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I have never written a negative review in my life but I am absolutely disgusted with this business. I went to the Oaksville Laundromat this week and had 150$ worth of clothes ripped to shreds in one of their machines. The manager was not working at the time so I was given her contact details. When I got ahold of her today and asked as nicely as possible what their policy was regarding damage to clothing she said that they have no policy and that they wouldn't compensate in any way (or even offer a simple apology). She was extremely rude and tried to tell me that it was my fault because I clearly left something in a pocket that had caused the damage. Seeing as how my thick-denim Levi jeans were cut up into absolute shreds, I would have had to have mixed in an entire kitchen knife set for this to be the case (please see the photos I have uploaded). She also said that it didn't matter if one customer was unhappy as she had good reviews on Facebook and Google. The management of this establishment is rude, ignorant and does not value their customers. Do not go here unless you want to support this kind of business owner and/ or have your clothes ruined. read more
