Wow, walked in the door the lady welcoming me was the most savage person I have ever encountered. I politely said no thanks just looking, which she replied "you won't know the sales...." I stopped her and said no thank you I'm just looking. SHE KEPT GOING. While she was still talking now louder because I'm walking away, I left very disappointed she couldn't take "no thank you" for an answer. My husband and I ordered a king bedroom set with two nightstands and one dresser. They delivered a dresser one nightstand and a queen bed frame on Tuesday. We had to call and ask for the king bed frame, for the queen to be removed and for the second nightstand we ordered. They said the king would take two weeks to get here and they could take the queen away and deliver a temporary king foundation the following Friday. Leaving us with the queen frame that does not fit our mattress for 10 nights! And still no word on when we will get our second nightstand. Plus they scratched our wall bringing the dresser up the stairs. Needless to say we are not happy with Conlin's and would not recommend. read more

This store is overpriced which is weird because it is an "outlet" store. They are currently having a blowout warehouse sale which should amount to deep discounts since it is also an outlet store. They keep stating the sale is almost over. The discount prices are more than you can purchase elsewhere without a sale. Sales experience is similar to purchasing a used car. Very pushy and only helpful if you are purchasing. Today I heard a sales guy ask a customer "what happened" when they said they wanted to think about it. Then he wouldn't even acknowledge me because someone else was helping me. Top it all off with a no return policy (because it is obvious they are overpriced) and you have one terrible experience. read more

As it happened we traveled down the road to BOBCAT MATTRESS and the people there were GREAT!! And "Karen" I ended up spending much more than my stated price point to you! This review is for the main store, not the outlet. I ordered a custom couch with chaise and an ottoman on March 4. Everything was delivered on April 11 except the ottoman. Conlins delivery man said, "Here's your ottoman," and put the piece under the chaise that holds it up. I had forgotten exactly what the set looked like due to the time lapse, so I didn't realize I was missing a piece. Today, I received a phone call from the store asking me if I ever received the ottoman because an ottoman matching my set is sitting in their warehouse. Then, i realized I was missing the ottoman. That's a 4-month lapse! Of course, I'm delighted to have the ottoman finally. I do need the extra seating. Yet, I feel so disappointed in Conlins very poor quality-control, follow-up and follow-through. It's as if no one takes responsibility there. No one says, "The buck stops here." I strongly feel a good sales person follows up with his/her customers to see if they're happy with their purchase. You buy, you leave, and it's as if they could care less whether you get your stuff or not never mind the condition it's in when it's delivered. read more

Skip the poor customer service and high prices. I went to several other stores in the Bozeman area and all were pleasant, helpful, and didn't try to feed me a bunch of lies in order to make a sale. Make sure you shop around and don't make Conlin's your only stop. The one star is because I don't appreciate being lied to by a company I am looking to do business with. It implies that they believe their customers are unintelligent and will buy what they are told. Also because their customer service was less than impressive. Initially I went into Conlin's looking for a bed. Specifically a memory foam mattress. While they had one I really liked, their "sale" price on it was $2100. They also had an adjustable base for it that we really liked, but "Greg" quoted us $1700 on it. He reassured us that we would have a hard time finding a more competitive price in the Valley. He also told me that the mattress was being discontinued and that I only had 10 days that I could order it. We went home to think about it. I also found a sofa in the store that I liked and was reasonably priced. The next day I went to another store down the street to look at mattresses. They had the same one we had looked at the day before for $1999, and they quoted us $600 for the adjustable base. Yes, $600...as in, less than half of what Conlin's had quoted us. They also said nothing about the mattress being discontinued and ordered it for me with no problems. Greg also neglected to inform us that there are 3 different price points on the adjustable base, depending on the features you'd like. I did end up going back to Conlin's for the sofa. They charged me a delivery fee and charged for the removal of my old sofa (the store where I purchased my mattress has free delivery and disposal of your old stuff). The saleswoman told me that someone would call me the day before delivery to set up a time that would work for delivery. My sofa was scheduled to be delivered on a Monday. On Friday I got a message that they could possibly deliver my sofa early, on Saturday. When I called back to set this up, the person in the warehouse had no idea what I was talking about, told me the truck was already loaded and that he didn't see my paperwork anywhere. There was no offer of making it right and setting up the early delivery. He seemed totally disinterested in why I was calling. I got another call on Sunday letting me know that the sofa should arrive between noon and 2 pm on Monday. There was no offer for me to schedule a time, as the saleswoman had told me. When I asked about the possibility of it being delivered earlier In the day I was told, "it depends on how the other deliveries go." I don't know how they figure out their delivery schedule, but they certainly weren't willing to work with me. The sofa arrived on time and is beautiful. I'm very happy with it so far. I just wish the service had been better in getting to this point, and there's still a question in the back of my mind if I was overcharged for the sofa as I would have been with the bed. read more

We have shopped every furniture store in the greater Bozeman area over the past six months trying to furnish multiple rooms. We had resigned ourselves to the fact that we would need to wait "18-24 weeks due to Covid-19 delayed manufacturing" for any family room pieces that we wanted regardless of price. Last Saturday we wandered into the Conlin's Thanksgiving sale and found a great sectional that they would sell right off the floor at a fantastic price and deliver within the week. (we actually got a brand new one that they had in their warehouse so it was even better) I want to give a big thank you to Fred and Tracy who were so patient with us in the search for the right sized pieces and an especially huge shout out to Carlos and his delivery team who went above and beyond ensuring the delivery would take place as scheduled in spite of the snow and a steep driveway access. We are thrilled to finally have couches to sit on rather than our camp chairs. This sectional is not our "dream" piece but it fits perfectly in our space, is the right color and the pricing and timing made it too good to pass up. When we are ready to make a switch or when we need additional furnishings we will definitely be returning to Conlin's Furniture, Bozeman and their professional team. read more

Beautiful mattress in black. HOWEVER, we were looking for a very hard mattress and we laid on the one in the store for about 29 mins and we liked it. It was hard. The sales lady told us it was the best price anywhere at $999 but there was a No Return Policy, which sketches us out but we hadn't found a firm mattress anywhere. The name of the mattress was sketchy and no where on the paperwork did it say FIRM, which bothered me too but we had already paid. We come to get get the mattress and no where on the tag did it say firm. We asked inside the store, they said that was the firm model. Took it home, laid on it and it was SOFT!!! So soft it hurt our backs and made us bend in the middle. Never buying anything here again. read more

Ordered couch, love seat and recliner and paid for it all the day we ordered it. We received couch and love seat in two different colors. We reordered love seat and again received the wrong color. Six weeks later we still do not have recliner. We were told the recliner was in transit and then we were told it is discontinued. Will never buy from Conlins again. read more

I visited 4 other furniture stores in Bozeman looking for just the right bedroom package for me. My experiences were marginal to good in customer service and product knowledge. And then there was Kimberly at Conlins! She gave me the time and attention to help narrow down the bedroom set I was looking for. I was candid with her that I was looking at other businesses before I made my selection. This did not faze her one bit, she continued to treat me as a valued customer, this was very refreshing, as not all businesses take kindly to that situation. When I made my decision to purchase a beautiful Amish set at Conlins, I expressed that I may need some time before my delivery. I am renovating, tearing out walls and carpet without an exact completion date. Kimberly assured me that I could have the time I needed before the delivery. We just bought a $950 sofa from Conlins. We knew it was made in China, but it was not nearly as comfortable as their floor model. The padding is insufficient all around. You can feel the cheap metal frame poke your back. The Sales guy also quoted us a higher price than another Sales guy who happened to walk by while showing the same couch to a different couple for less money. The Sales guy wants to sell you a $79 stain guarantee, but won't give you the terms of what they exclude. I called the manager, and he wouldn't give me a copy of the policy either. He claims they don't have a copy, which I don't believe, since he sells it, and I bought it. read more

Dont fall for being able to return a bed within 90 days as they will refer you to the manufacturer who will refer you back to Conlin's and nothing will be solved and you will too be an unhappy customer! Conlins is a joke. Borderline lying. Classic mom n pop shop who can't compete in product offerings or customer service, which is downright self righteous. I am a super nice guy but go the other way when I see bad businesses with bad business practices -- when I have been reasonable and patient. Especially when I get their standard excuses. Everyone knows there is Covid. Not my fault your business cannot deal with it. Plenty of furniture places can. Only 1/2 their furniture showed up around on time (some damaged) and the rest is now going to be almost 2 months late--and that is if I can trust that date anymore which I do not after repeated pushbacks and bs. They should never have committed to any timeframe if they cannot reasonably meet it around a deadline. I would never have moved in here otherwise if I knew it was this. Go to Ashleys or another national company where there is great service and more inventory than Conlins, which is basically a discount store. I predict Chapter 11 within 5 years as Bozeman grows. Never again will I use either Conlins on Huffine. I bought all my furniture from them 3 years ago along with the extra insurance that you can buy with it. When I needed it of course they would not cover it. So I got over that and in the beginning of October I just called and ordered a new cover for the couch. It would take 4 to 5 weeks to come in. Conlin's Furniture has THE BEST warranty services. We bought our mattress five years ago and could not find our original proof of purchase. The gentleman who answered the phone (I am not recalling his name, SORRY!) did the leg work, found our transaction and sent the request in. Jeff (the warranty request inspector) came out to my house and took photos for mattress company himself! Such a different experience than what I had to do for a client I clean for - its was a nightmare - many trips down and photos to submit. Anyway, not with Conlin's! It was very splendid experience! Most enjoyable and easiest shopping experience ever! We have a vacation home in Big Sky. My husband and I hate to shop and it was our lucky day when we wandered into Conlin's and were greeted by Tyler. Tyler and the the store manager, Mark, were so helpful and not at all pushy. We were able to furnish our condo in a very short time. The delivery people were friendly and we didn't feel rushed when deciding where to put things. I would have given them a zero rating if possible. I purchased a sofa in December only to have a loveseat delivered in February. They supposedly put a rush order on another sofa. Two months later (April) when I called to find out the status of my sofa I was told that it had been sitting in their warehouse. Not sure why an employee didn't call me to set up delivery. It took me 4 months and a lot of headache to get my sofa. The store manager is a joke! He told me that he would personally call me after he ordered the sofa a second time. He didn't call nor did he give me the deal that he said he would on the loveseat. Their screw up and I still paid the price. I will NEVER purchase anything from Conlins again. read more
