Working with Laura has genuinely been one of the most transformative experiences I've had in therapy. I've done more traditional talk therapy for years, but somatic therapy with Laura has helped me understand myself in an entirely different way--not just intellectually, but on a much deeper level. Laura has an incredible ability to make you feel safe, seen, and understood while also gently challenging you to go places you might otherwise avoid. She is deeply intuitive, compassionate, thoughtful, and incredibly skilled at what she does. I never feel judged or rushed, and every session feels intentional and uniquely tailored to what I need in that moment. The work we've done together has changed the way I understand my emotions, my patterns, my relationships, and ultimately myself. I'm learning how to actually listen to and trust myself rather than constantly looking outside of myself for answers or reassurance. That shift has been profound for me. It's rare to find a therapist who can create such a safe space while also facilitating real, meaningful change. I'm incredibly grateful I found Laura and truly can't recommend her enough. read more

I have been on a healing journey for over a decade now. While my husband and I found long-term talk therapists, we struggled to find someone who could help us to grow as a couple. We met with a few therapists and nobody could quite figure out how to help us... Until we met Laura! A good friend of mine recommended her, and she offered us profound insights and teachings that helped us to grow individually and as a couple. Her approach is unique, drawing from a variety of practices including eastern medicine, somatic healing, and talk therapy which she put together in a way that I have since described as outlandish and surprisingly effective. After nearly two years of working with Laura, my husband and I are more connected than we ever expected to feel, we laugh together a lot more, we've done away with patterns that Laura quickly called us out on that were dysfunctional. From a bigger life perspective I've also let go and softened. Laura could tell where we could grow, sometimes in unconventional ways, and our lives are better for it. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking to heal or looking for new ways to grow. read more

I have been a client of Laura for both individual and couples therapy over the last year. Over that time, she has totally changed my life. From a couples therapy perspective, she has helped us navigate some of the most difficult situations I believe a marriage could encounter. Individually, she helped me learn how to navigate the world in a more self-loving way - all of this during the most challenging year of my life. Laura has a magical way of knowing what you need and meeting you where you are. She also has a wealth of knowledge across many different disciplines, leading to very rich and insightful sessions every time. I feel so lucky to have found her and urge you to have a conversation with her if you're looking for a therapist or life coach. read more

I came to conjunctio after 20+ years of traditional talk therapy. Not getting into my medical history on Yelp, but I have some serious crap going on mentally, which started to affect me physically. I had fallen into the crack between mental health care and physical health care--a really demoralizing place to be in. Psychologists would send me to doctors, and doctors would send me to psychologists. After a few months of work over remote video sessions, I am doing so much better. I feel like I have a new language to discuss what's going on with me. I understand my whole deal a lot more, and have tactics I can do to help myself. And no more pouring money/time/energy into a vast combo of therapies and experts and suffering whenever I couldn't access them (this has been particularly hard during lockdown.) I can't say enough good things about what a delightful person Laura is, too. She's thoughtful and witty and easy to talk with. She really brings herself to the work, and is drawing on real, solid wisdom. This is a type of treatment that can challenge a lot of your assumptions and therefore inspire great growth. I would especially recommend somatic therapy and conjunctio to folks who have histories with traditional therapy, perhaps aren't getting all they need from it, and want a radically different modality to try. Can't recommend enough. read more

I began working with Laura at the start of one of the most challenging and traumatic periods of my life, and I cannot adequately convey how much she has helped me through this time. I have tried other forms of therapy, mostly focused solely on cognitive processes and how to think through our issues. Though these methods work for some, they never seemed to give me what I needed. It always felt like I was only getting half of the story, a fraction of what was required to fully assess and manage life's challenges. With Laura's somatic approach, I finally feel like I am being given all the tools necessary to feel and process my experiences and direct my perspective in a healthy and loving way. Laura is compassionate and understanding, and more intuitive than almost anyone I've ever known. She seems to understand exactly what I need and how to access those needs through energy and body work. The longer I work with her, the more fortunate I feel to have found her. I am increasingly grateful that I have the opportunity to benefit from her gifts. read more

I have been working with Laura for over 3 years now and I can't rate her highly enough. She has a deep understanding and intuition of how people and bodies work and can identify your mood and defenses in a glance. Through somatic practice I have learned how to more fully feel my feelings, listen to the information my body is giving me and find more ease and authenticity in my life. Additionally, if I have any particular musculoskeletal pain or discomfort, Laura just tends to the muscles with her magic touch and the pain is gone! It is astounding. Definitely work with Laura if you are looking to align your energy, harness your intrinsic power and live the life you want to be living. read more

I have been seeing Laura on and off for a couple years now. First, she helped me through an intense trauma and the ptsd that followed. It was truly life changing the way she helped me process the experience through body and breath work. I will be forever grateful. Now I find myself seeing her again to help through some relationship stuff and I can't say enough good things! I wish I could record our sessions because her thoughts and questions are so intuitive and thought provoking. She is wise and funny and incredibly smart. I learn new things about my body every time we meet. I feel very comfortable and safe with Laura and am so lucky to have found her. read more

Consider yourself lucky if you're reading this review, because it means you've found Laura Lund, healer extraordinaire! Whenever I try to describe to friends what it is Laura does, I get temporarily stumped because her work is so fresh, unique and ever-changing to fit the needs of the present moment, it's impossible to put into a box. I try anyway and usually say, "Oh, she's a bodyworker who incorporates an aspect of talk-therapy with foundations in Tibetan Buddhist philosophy." Phew. Then I add, "For the first half-hour of each session, we talk about whatever's 'up' for me that day and what I want to work on. Then, for one blissful hour, I get on the table and Laura begins the hands on therapy." Upon hearing this, people are usually kind of amazed. What an incredible package! they say. You get all that seeing just ONE practitioner, when it would ordinarily take at least three?! ... In terms of massage, Laura is incredible--dare I say, the best I've ever had. She uses the perfect amount of pressure (for me, a lot!) and she's not afraid to go deep or touch parts of the body that often get ignored. It feels a-m-a-z-i-n-g! But it doesn't stop there. As I understand it, Laura also incorporates cranial sacral therapy and uses acupressure points. Sometimes she chants over my body, and she always coaxes me into a meditative state so I am open to receive all that transpires. During the half-hour "therapy" aspect of each session, Laura has a way of sifting through the slew of stories I come in with and getting down to where the juice is. Again, she is incredibly intuitive and gifted at calling out what's true. I admire this from a professional as well as personal perspective, as I'm a student in a master's program studying transpersonal psychology, so her work is right up my ally. I hope to be a fraction of the healer she is, someday! If you have been led to this page, GO SEE LAURA. I honestly can't imagine anyone regretting it. Only be warned... you probably will not be able to stop at just once. You'll feel so darn good floating out of her office and you'll notice such change in your life, you won't be able to stay away. Take it from me... read more

In a word? Amazing. Intuitive. Healing. Funny. Wise. OK, that was 5 words. I saw Laura for massage and somatic work, but her whole life view includes what is going on in your life and how that shows up in your body. I am deeply allergic to anything too "woo-woo" and Laura was able to get things done for my personal process that were negatively affecting my body. And all the while she was making me laugh with her Chicago-born, Italian, wise-cracking and practical approach. She is really quite the package. If you have pain (physical or emotional), crap you have been avoiding, or just a hitch in your giddyup, get yourself to Laura and get there quick. She will SAVE you money and time by cutting right to the heart of the matter, be it your heart or your hamstring. Or both. read more

How can I put into words the profound effect Laura's work has had on my life? I'm not quite sure that I can. I'm several weeks into working with Laura through some major life transitions. From the very first session, Laura had a very unique ability to dig deep past layers of story and emotions to get at the root of what has been distressing me. I sought the help of several different therapists to assist me with feelings of loneliness and depression. While each of the modalities had something to offer, in one session it was clear that Laura's work would not only help me out of the rut that I've been in, but also offers the tools to go deeper and address root issues that have become intertwined with the re-emergence of these feelings from time to time throughout my life. I can't recommend her work highly enough. It has been a true gift and a blessing to be able to work with her. Each day I notice more and more the impact it's been having on my life. Initially I believed that I just wanted help working my way out of my depression. I never realized that it was possible to go deeper than that, to be free of perceptions and emotions that I've come to accept as part of who I am, that I don't have to be chained to the inner story that "this is just who I am." If you are reading this review, looking for a therapist, do yourself a solid and book an appointment. It doesn't have to be a commitment, but even with a single session, you'll be glad to have met this wonderful healer. read more

I tossed my back out yet again, and was flipping through the listings for a massage therapist. Laura's post stuck out for me. Upon meeting her I immediately knew this woman was exactly who I'd been searching for. She took the time to truly see into what in my life, led me to this contracted place. Laura was expressive and grounded describing herself and her practice, and eased any residual concerns I had in that first 15 minutes. It's the combination of her voice, touch and soft energy that was the catalyst for my healing. I'm continuing to see her for both body and emotional work. I feel extremely blessed I've found her. read more

Laura Lund is the voice and hands at conjuctio, and it is with her voice and hands that Laura can mitigate or heal pain of the physical, spiritual, and emotional sorts. Laura has strong, intuitive hands, and when I'm on her table I know she's getting some good work done. I started to see Laura for help with sports related injuries--problems solved! I now find myself returning for maintenance and reward. What better treat than a massage! Laura is an excellent communicator. Over many sessions Laura and I have developed a sincere rapport, and I am grateful for our easy, flowing conversations. When I see Laura now, I feel she weaves a massage, an energy tune-up, and a mini therapy session into our visit. Laura has a straight-forward approach, a winning personality, and a deep skill set--she is an excellent choice for a masseuse and therapist. read more

Laura was my counselor/coach for more than 3 years. She knows me on a very deep level and helped me through some really challenging times. Laura has a somatic approach to counseling which has you focus on the sensations and internal energy that which is often missed when you are lost in your head. She helped me focus on my own innate wisdom in my body to help gain awareness that lead to more ease. She is also really fun and funny...always helping me bring a chuckle to even the most difficult of circumstances without being dismissive. I really felt like for three years there was someone in my corner routing for me (the person) and me (the soul). Have a session with her and see if you click. If you click, I bet it will be one of the most valuable decisions you've ever made. read more

Laura changed my view of massage and turned me into an avid fan. She's able to focus in on what is happening with my body and find ways to make it work again. I leave her feeling like the years have been much kinder to me. If that weren't enough, she's personable and caring and listens to what's going on with you, both because she cares and because this interest leads her to a more personalized and unique plan for rejuvenating your entire being. She's unique and I feel lucky to have had her work on me for many years. read more

Laura is a world class teacher on all levels, and I feel so very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with her. She is an expert on love, intimacy, somatic awareness, and the Zapchen lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. She can handle anything you can throw at her! And she is quick to identify the root of your suffering with kindness and clarity. Her work helped me emerge from a painful divorce full of optimism and a willingness to connect, whereas in the past something like that would have left me completely withdrawn for quite some time. Working with Laura has taught me how to "feel as good as I can in spite of everything," to quote the Zapchen philosophy. Such liberation, to have learned these tools for taking responsibility for my own well-being regardless of circumstance. If you want to actually wake up from the dream of the mentally-derived aspects of your own suffering rather than just talk about your problems, Laura can help. Laura's super-human ability to see, appreciate, and acknowledge others' unique gifts will help you learn to do the same for yourself. read more
