Hired this company for home pickup. Costed about $150 for about 1.5 wheelie bins worth of paper. Not sure how this lines up compared to other companies, as the majority of other companies I contacted never followed up with a quote. But for the convenience of home service I feel it was worth the price, and it doesn't seem too far off from what drop-off shredding locations charge anyways. Was able to schedule the same week which was a bonus. Their truck shreds in front of you (not just document pickup and off-site shredding) if that matters for your application. Always happy to support a local business instead of one of the big national waste conglomerates. read more

The owner of this company has absolutely no respect for the neighborhoods in which his customers operate. He recently cam to Madrona and completely blocked a one way in/out alley. A woman was trying to exit and was blocked and I was blocked from entering. This was not a few second/minute blockage, it when on for a while. When he did finally exit the customer he was serving, I mentioned that he was blocking the alley and it was inappropriate and he needed to move his truck .... his response... I DON"T F'ING CARE!!. Stay away from this company! I have used this company in the past and they did a good job, but things have changed. I had them come out to my site about a month ago. When pulling the truck into the driveway, the driver got too close to a planter and ran up on some cement curbing. The weight of the truck caused the curbing to buckle and crack into multiple pieces. The driver took pictures of the damage and contacted the owner of the company to report the damage he had done. I thought everything would be taken care of. The driver then started to load the files I had to be shredded. The machine immediately started to jam. The driver apologized to me, telling me they had sent him out with one of the old trucks that just didn't have the power to efficiently handle my job. He continued to work - loading and unjamming and loading and unjamming. When he finally finished, I paid him and he left. I had forgotten to ask him for the Certificate of Destruction. I went into my office and called the company to ask if they could send me the certificate and to see what they would like to do about the damage done to the property. The owner said he would email me the certificate and (after confirming he had pictures of the damage done) told me that if I could get an estimate for the damage, he would arrange for reimbursement. I got an estimate and called the company to let them know. My call went to voicemail. A few days later, I hadn't heard back from them (nor had I received an email with the certificate) so I called again. Again I went to voicemail. I left another message. As I stated previously, it has now been almost a month. I have sent emails and placed a few more calls - all going to voicemail - but have heard nothing back from them. I have been left with a $1000 repair bill and no certificate confirming the documents were shredded. read more

Quick, professional service to my house in Normandy Park, very reasonable and excellent quality. This Issaquah based company services Seattle and I'm very pleased to have used them. I advised them of a very narrow access driveway to my town home. They arrived right on time, and came prepared with portable containers that they could roll up the driveway, fill, and then take back to their truck (which had to remain at the curb as it was larger than a garbage truck!) for on-the-spot shredding. I felt very secure about my confidential papers being thoroughly shredded while I could watch. Had we wanted to do a "communal" thing with several neighbors bringing things to shred, they were willing to do that for a flat rate fee for a certain number of boxes of paper per person. After 6 weeks of trying to schedule service with another company I called James. He was very courteous and helpful. I had service scheduled within a week, no complicated process to apply etc. Joshua called ahead of pickup, was on time, loaded and shredded 16 boxes within 20 minutes. Today I watched thirteen boxes of paper get shredded, saving me countless hours of doing it myself. Scheduling the appointment was easy, and having the truck come to my house was so convenient. When a neighbor saw the shredding truck, she asked if she could add some papers, which made me think that next time I'll let my neighbors know when the truck is coming so we can have a neighborhood shredding event. The truck has a screen on which I could watch my documents get shredded. It was kind of cool. And finally, the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this company. read more

A few days ago I contacted Confidential Data since I needed to dispose of a large number of legal documents (approximately 8 boxes). As an attorney, I was concerned with the privacy and privileged information of my clients. Confidential arrived and did an incredible job!
