I came here for a Sweet 16 birthday party and it was absolutely beautiful. The Host Nicole P. who put it together was amazing. Nicole was very out going fun and on top of things. The Dj played great music, we had lots of fun taking silly pictures in the Photo Booth, the food was great, and the set up was perfect. I had a great experience at this party thanks to Nicole P. If you want your party to turn out as perfect as you would like it to be choose Nicole Pelekakis she is your gal! I was recently in a wedding held at this venue and was very disappointed in how they conducted business...mainly, there were discrepancies between what was agreed upon in the contract versus what services/accommodations were actually provided and the staff was unhelpful. To add insult to injury, the coordinator/caterer had the nerve to go on vacation on the day of the wedding (they informed my friend that the caterer quit, but she later learned that wasn't the case). So I'm not even from Maryland but had to write a review! Poor customer service!! My cousin's recently got married and had their wedding at this venue. The owner and staff were extremely unprofessional. On the day of the wedding they would not allow us to come inside the venue and kept stalling because they had nothing setup. The tables had no linens and the chair were not arranged for the ceremony. When we asked to speak to Gia (the owner) she would not come out and after 15 minutes sent the caterer to instead. The upstairs area is old and needs to be redone to match the rest of the venue. The food catered was undesirable. For the amount of money spent it did not live up to the expectation. Please save yourself some time, money, and energy. Find another venue to celebrate. read more

So we had a very nice time here yesterday afternoon. I planned this party about a month ago, yet the previous president of my physician family group has been planning this same party annually for at least 5 years. We host an inflatable bounce house party for 20-30 kids for two hours on a Sunday afternoon. It was held indoors and cost us $500 plus a credit card processing fee. That's probably a little steep, but we did get two bounce houses for that price, plus tables and chairs for adults and kids and long tables for food all set up by the time we arrived. There were decorations from the event the evening prior which slammed up the otherwise stark setting. I would definitely host another kid's party, yet didn't feel the space was proper for a wedding. We brought in our own food and drinks and had pizza delivered. The only issue I had was that I called the day prior to confirm my reservation and ask about having food delivered and they said they didn't have my paid reservation. I found this odd because no one had asked me for payment, even though I had spoken with the staff at least three times prior. They ended up explaining to me that their email was down and they didn't know about it. I hope that they get this sorted out because it left a few moments of panic less than 24 hours before the event. I guess I would suggest to anyone booking here, don't rely on email. If you want to book the place, have them mail you the info or arrive in person. read more

She leaves the bar area unattended and my liquor was stolen. She EB told the owner it was as if she didn't care. But if I would have broken something than up she want to keep my deposit. I came here to celebrate a surprise 50th birthday party. This certainly was an excellent event and the look on the face of the guest of honor was priceless. The setup was nice, food was great, drinks were flowing and the DJ kept us on our feet. It was unclear to what degree the space did a great job vs. the efforts of the host - who I know put a lot of work into creating the great experience. Nonetheless, the space itself was perfectly formatted for a group of probably up to 100 people with round tables and open space left for cutting it up on the dance floor. There is also lots of parking available so that should make your guests happy. They stick to the committed time frame and lights were on and staff were beginning to move chairs exactly at the contracted ending time. That's not a bad thing, but if you are hosting a party for people that like to show up late anticipating that you have forever to enjoy and the site will allow you to run over.....not going to happen here. I should have checked the Yelp reviews before having my daughter's party here. The sad thing is the actual event space is not bad, it's the service and policies that is a major disappointment for the price that is charged. A refundable $150 cash security deposit is required the day of the event for incidentals. However, once my event ended and there were no incidentals, I was told I had to come back the next day to get my cash security deposit. There is a charge to bring your own food and balloons which wasn't explained to me either but the employee was gracious enough to waive that fee because it wasn't communicated by their staff prior to booking my space. read more

I wanted to thank Baltimore's Best for its hospitality, accommodation, and professionalism in hosting our event last week. While we had an estimated 50 persons reserved for our event, about 75-80 showed. Nonetheless, Baltimore's Best was quick to accommodate with additional chairs, tables, and food. They were also very friendly and service oriented, providing for particular requests (specific tea, extension cords, stands for media, etc). read more

*Sigh* Okay where do I start. My Bridal Shower was held here. One of my Bridal party members used this space years prior and had no complaints. However, this particular experience was like no other. The original quote that was given, was not what we paid after all the little fees that are put on. The payment process was tedious, Waiting for invoices and emails. On top of the additional "deposit" due before the event even happened which you have to pick up in cash after your event. The manager was not pleasant at all. She was rude to my event planner who simply did a walk through. And from the reviews, im not the only person who feels this way. The rest of the staff was fine... as for the space itself, the hall is decent BUT it did have a smell, and the floors were tacky/sticky the whole way through the place. I was the event coordinator for a wedding this past January. The owner Gia is very rude and can be unprofessional. Every item comes with a huge price mark up from napkins to dishes. The menu is al a carte and not worth the money paying for the event. We made this event space work but I advised my client along with any of their friends to never book at this venue. My husband I planned our wedding with Confetti 8/11/2012 and will never refer anyone to them. The event coordinator Christina Cloud worked very well with us. However, there was many times miscommunication and specific issues were not address. When we decided to itemize everything we specifically wanted for our wedding versus the service Confetti would offer became a tedious process as I would expect. Even with constant communication via phone and email we still did not receive proper clarification on what we had access too. At the last minute we found out: our cater could not use Confetti's refrigerator, they forgot and added entertainment tax, hall rearrangement fee, and then had to change the layout of our room scheme cause guest could longer fit in the original format. I originally expected 90 guests. As the date approached I received approximately 130 confirmed guests. Confetti mentioned they could accommodate I believe up to 150 and our hall layout was reorganized. I had no other option but to use this new layout and the day of my wedding we were packed like sardines. We decided to not use their catering service and I do not know whether this made them offended. However, as the wedding approached and came they gave my cater a hard time and asked her if she was licensed. Of course she was!!! Why wasn't this asked prior??? Additionally, I found out through my parents Confetti did not work with them while they were setting up the hall for my arrival on my wedding day. How inappropriate on my wedding day!!! UPDATED REVIEW 11/16/2013: GIA LIES AND IS VINDICTIVE!!! She recently called me after 15 months past my wedding cause of the reviews online about her establishment threatening to use my photos. Im not sure where to start honestly, I am a Wedding and event planner of over 12 years. I must say I have been worked with many Venues but Confetti Event Center is by far the Worst experience ever. GIA was horrible to work with. She's very unprofessional, Dissmissive, Rude and lastly but not least comes off racist. I don't recommend this venue what so ever. No matter what your budget/ Event is PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!!!! Their booking window is very short. they only provide you access 30 minutes before your event start time and will charge 85.00 a hour each hour your request to get in the space and set up. So please be prepared that a event can still have the room when you should be setting up. There is no Staff Support during the set up and duration of your event. I had to go in the back multiple times begging for help with broken down equipment, Dirty Linens that we were charged for and mix/ Match silverware/ Glassware and plates. You will pay for everything including ice etc etc. please expect the bare minimum from them. I usually don't ever leave bad reviews as I want every business to look good and succeed but this has been horrible and embarrassing for us Event people. read more

This is one of the worst venues that I've ever had an experience with for an event. The client was only given a 30 minute setup time. The room was thrown together. Storage areas are all over the venue with curtains covering them. Some of the staff was rude. Sad to say that this was probably the worst event venue I've ever encountered. I was hoping for a much better time here because I've heard good things but after the wedding I was just in, I would never recommend confetti's to anyone for any service. Sigh. To start, the caterer and event coordinator for this wedding stopped working there TWO DAYS before the wedding. Another coordinator stepped in to take over but didn't have any information about the wedding such as the meals, seating arrangements, or the wedding package that was purchased. Again this is TWO DAYS before the wedding. At the wedding rehearsal, the day of coordinator was not helpful at all she seemed confused about what was going on and we decided to enlist a close friend to act as the coordinator instead of the actual coordinator who works for the venue. Smh. The "loft" area where the ceremony was taking place was HOT. We were told there would be air conditioning but on the day of the wedding, a hot 90 plus degree day in July, we did not feel any air conditioning in the loft. Guests as well as the entire wedding party complained of the heat. I took a look at the thermostat and it was set at 75 degrees, while it was hotter than 90 outside. In addition to that, the ceremony was scheduled to begin at 11am, we received a call from the venue at 11am while we were about to walk down the aisle that a bartender was not included in the wedding package purchased. As I mentioned earlier the woman who signed contracts and told the bride and groom a bartender was in fact included quit. The venue said they had no information on that and the contract had mysteriously disappeared and we had to go buy ice and mixers at the last minute for the alcohol that should have been included in the package. Communication with the venue was nothing short of a disaster. There was way too much chaos and it seemed as though this was the very first event ever held here and being coordinated by children. The venue staff were completely unprofessional. We made it work amongst ourselves but they should be held accountable for such a poor display of service on such a pivotal day in someone's life. I would give confettis negative scores if Yelp would allow. I went there today, with the hopes of booking my daughter's birthday party. Today however, I had to interact with the owner of the place, and let me say this, she is very arrogant, rude and unprofessional. They initially quoted me the price, for the larger room but today we figured out the larger room was already booked so I opted for the smaller room, which is upstairs. When they printed the invoice for me, there was an additional $300+ for the rental of the smaller room. Does that make sense? Why would I pay an extra 300 for the smaller room than I would have for the smaller room. The own then proceeded to tell me she can cut the party to 2 hrs for the same price of the big room. I accepted. She then proceeded to tell me I would only have 30 minutes for my decorator to set up. MIND YOU, while she is speaking with me she is taking her dog out of a crate and having her urinate/defaate on the floor, less than 3 feet from me. She reprinted the new invoice for me with 2 hours less, and no hall rental fee, yet the total was the exact same thing as before ! She just moved the prices around. Do not go here! Where do I begin!!! DO NOT have a party at CONFETTI'S EVENT!!! I repeat DO NOT!!! First red flag was the reviews but I look over it because the location is beautiful. Second they don't honor what they post online. Confetti events were offering a winter special but when I got there they were no longer offer it. And it stay posted on their website for three months after I booked my event. So I let it slide because I really fell in love because of my friends wedding. But behind the scene is a ugly mess "where"you have your free consultation. It very dusty and dirty. The Kitchen let's not get started there. Very very unsanitary they let anyone walk though the kitchen. That's why I didn't rent the kitchen. PLEASE CHECK IT OUT BEFORE RENTING. On one of the reviews I read something about make sure you keep checking over your CONTRACT....... so true! A few times the "Manager" and she will make it known that she is the manager "GIA" tried to get over! So Please Please take your time. Have all your contracts with you every consultation. And make sure they sign too. The other good thing is the staff. They are very friendly with you at all times but the manager Gia talks to them very unprofessional and if she's upset with you she will do the same. Especially when it comes to going over the contract because she is trying to get over on you. Gia will tell you that her and staff don't have time. I had a baby shower here at confetti and the staff is very unprofessional besides the one African American girl . The contract process is horrible you will be forced to use confetti decorations and catering or you will pay top dollar to bring your own . The owner GIA is very unprofessional and arrogant . Hell nooo!! I will strongly not recommend this place to anyone. We just wasted our money & should have find better place & good service. The party of my son started already & they are still preparing other stuffs. The party's theme was not located very well. You would not recognize what the party's theme only in one balloon & the smallest birthday cake in the world (in which we paid an extra cost). If i were the guest, i couldn't recognize the theme,like the pinata they used was just a regular big balloon,the napkins for kids,birthday hats,balloons around the place,etc. What a waste of money aside from choosing the deluxe package,we paid extra hundreds of dollars because every single thing in this place has a fee even the use of the kitchen (i thought even the washroom has a cost). And the owner GIA MAGLIANO is only after the money that's what i realized & observed. She herself as the owner & event coordinator doesn't know how to explain every single details that we paid. Like the credit card, i used my card to pay for my balance & she didn't tell me that there will be a charge if i use my card. What the fuck!! She already swiped it without telling me. The funny thing is you cannot post any reviews on their websites. If you will check, you can only read positive comments & you can't find a way to post any (obviously maybe they are the only one who made those applause). It looks good in the picture but once you entered in their business, im pretty sure you will just blame yourself. Weeks before my son's 1st birthday party, i heard lots of negative feedback & i can't do anything anymore because all the fees we paid are non-refundable. My (now) wife and I decided to go with Confetti's for our wedding ceremony and reception. First let me say that I am sooo glad that we did. Everything about Confetti's was amazing from start to finish. Our first visit with Jodi to view the venue was great. She was very professional and answered all of our questions. She provided many options for us to choose from. Jodi also made recommendations which prevented many headaches. Jodi followed up with us several times up until the the day of the event. All of our guests were so pleased with how beautifully decorated the wedding was. The bartender was on point and kept the drinks coming. I would strongly not recommend confetti event center. Initially contacted this event center to rent a moon bounce but the cunning and conniving owner sucked me into doing my event at the Confetti event center. Their service is so AWFUL. I got to the event center and the hall smelt so awful like they had just cleaned up from the party before and the smell of the wet mop was left over. Only one moon bounce was set up even though I was promised 2 moon bounces. The kids tables was not decorated and the plates and cutlery promised to serve the kids was not provided. I was so disappointed as this was my child's 1st birthday party and was expecting a wonderful event. The annoying staff love to take advantage of the refundable $150 they ask you to pay up front as they keep looking for silly opportunities for things you forget to bring. For instance, they put up two adult table and chairs they promised would be set up and decorated, but they did not cover them with table cloth, they ended up charging me $3.50 for some flimsy looking table cover. When they initially tired to get you to rent their facility, they tell you so many nice things I.e. Blah blah blah... it is a one stop shop and all you have to do is bring your food and DJ everything else would be provided. DONT BE FOOLED THIS IS A BIG LIE. Please please please, do not rent this event center for any event. The center is terrible and the staff smile at you when they deeply don't care about your event, they are just waiting for your time to be up so they can break the toys down and kick you out! O, one more thing, the annoying staff do not try to own up to their mistake especially the owner, instead she comes out with a nasty attitude and pretends like she delivered on what she had promised. Furthermore, there was a wedding event after my event so the entire time I was constantly being reminded that I had to leave on time, I felt so unhappy and disappointed. So, to finish it all off, when it was time to clean up, there was so napkins and food that poured on the floor by one of the kids and the owner has the nerve to ask me to pick it up as this was not included in the agreement of the cleaning contract, as if sweeping this part of the mess would ruin the floor. Worst experience ever..... Very unprofessional owner Gia. Let me start from the beginning. I called Gia to set up a time for consultation considering I would be coming from Philadelphia. When I arrived for my first appointment to talk about my traditional wedding she was very attentive. I set my date for the wedding and put in my deposit... Once she got my full payment of ~$4000. Then Gia switched it up. All of a sudden she was charging for everything. I got the package that came with included color linens next thing you know she was trying to charge me $14/each for my linens. I tried to contact Gia 2 weeks before the event to go over the room set up, however she would not respond to emails nor return my phone calls. I had to keep coming down from Philadelphia just to get things done that could have been done over the phone. My event was suppose to start at 8pm-2am, Gia would not allow my decorator to come in and setup prior to 8pm unless i paid her ~$200. What hall does not allow setup time unless you pay extra. I was told by Gia that setup time was 8pm and noone could get in earlier unless I paid her cash. I am so glad I went with another decorator for my back drop because I could tell all Gia wanted was extra money and did not care about the customer. Its unfortunate that her staff is better then her. Also because my event was to have up to 200 people, Gia took this opportunity to try to advertise her business at my expense without permission. I found courtesy cards in the bathroom with my name on it, offering a discount if they mentioned my name. That was very tacky and unacceptable. I told Gia to her face that I would not be recommending anyone to her place of business, because I would not want anyone to go through what I went through with the her. I ended up paying so much money for the smallest hall.... when the other halls are more than half the price with more space. My daughter hasn't even had her party here yet and I already regret renting with them! You think you're renting the venue at one price but cha-ching ching ching! There's a fee for EVERYTHING! Literally... like when you rent an additional table for your party (they only provide ONE adult table for a kids party, I guess the parents are expected to stand the entire time) that you also have to pay to rent the chairs for the table smh I thought a table & chairs go hand & hand. You rent a party game, in my case the ball toss. You would assume that the balls for the BALL toss would be included...nope! it's a separate charge. Then you have a "incident" fee ($150) , a fee to use your card to pay them (about 5%) by the time I added on the needed things that most venues provide for you with the cost of the venue & their outrageous fees, my $300 kids party turned into a almost $1000 kids party! I would not recommend this place to anyone planning a special event unless you are willing to spend a lot of money for it. It seems they show the best service to those spending a good wealth of money. I had my daughter's 4th birthday party, which was special to her ( a princess tea party) with the expectation that it would be great to find that the staff showed little to no interest in accommodating us on making sure that the party was flowing nicely. Her party was planned a month and 2 weeks ahead of time. Having this much time, I was under the impression that everything would be perfectly set up and my guests would feel welcomed. Well let me begin from when we arrived until we left. Arriving, my guests had to enter from a side door that was led by a narrow spiral staircase(some families had baby carriages) . Mind you this was not explained in our consultation or during our tour. Moving forward, 10 minutes before party guests are arriving they were still setting up. When we entered the room it was freezing. I called down about the heat not being on and the lady on the other end said, "oh i turned it on, i just forgot to open the vents". It is February 14, 2015, the coldest month of the winter season and you forget to open the vents so that my guests are warm? My guests had to wear their jackets the whole time... Not acceptable. The next issue was the inflatable bouncy house we had which kept deflating on the children jumping in it, and the inflatable throne that i was told is not included in my package which it was, as it is advertised on their website was deflated as well. The third problem was, they had this weird creep guy walking around with an attitude. I'm guessing he was the guy who set up the inflatable bouncy house, but he act as if he did not want to help. My daughter had a special guess Elsa arrive at her party for a 15 minute meet and greet. The meet and greet was horrible. She act as if she did not want to smile in the pictures with the kids or interact with the other guests that were there. The kids were excited to see her but she wasn't excited to see them. To top it all off, as she left, I said, "Thank you Elsa", and she replied "yup". Really??? I was told the kids would receive turkey and cheese tea sandwiches but to find out they gave them cream cheese and jelly sandwiches. I called 10 times in total for issues that i was having in my party that should not have happened. In the package, they had an arts and crafts activity, no one showed up, i had to call downstairs about it on when they were going to do it because the party was almost over. When the party was over they turned the lights off in the back as we were cleaning up to let us know that the time was over. (Who does that???) So many issues occurred at my daughter's party that I insisted on having a talk with the manager on site that day. I felt it was a waste of breath to even explain all the things that went wrong because she insisted that I tell the owner on Monday. If i was her I would call the owner the same day to have the complaint handled. To add, when having the complaint about my party she felt the need to bring up that the other party costs $4,000.00. I do not give a crap about how much their party costs it had nothing to do with mines. My money is just as valuable as theirs was.To add insult to injury, Monday came around and the owner was just as careless as her staff (the apple doesn't fall far from the tree). Of all the issues we had, I personally will not recommend this place to anyone who wants to plan a special event and to feel that no matter how much or how less of money you spend that you will always be treated with great customer service, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO BOOK YOUR PARTY!!!
