It's a small place and appears to have a popular following so if you come later on in the lunch hour selection dwindles down. They did have an open cooler and even had rise and vee kombucha as offerings. So I brought back 4 bottles of vee kombucha (as you can't find it very easily in MTL). Lunch was a shade over $10 with a capucinno. Definitely a place I'd hit up when in the area again.

Salad was equally good as well. Fresh veggies at lunch makes me feel less guilty. The lamb was heavy. Like pulled pork kind of heavy. But it was mixed in a very delicious sauce. The ciabatta was a bit crunchier than I prefer. It was like eating a sandwich made from birch bark. You know the feeling when you eat a sandwich and it scrapes the roof of your mouth? Well that's how crunchy the bread was. Not fun. Overall this was a small negative in an otherwise flavorful and delicious meal. I much prefer these kinds of establishments than eating Subway blehhh.

First off, let me say that Lysanne and her catering team of cooks and servers are nice people with a lot of heart. Their menu is wonderful and their food is gourmet and delicious. However, Lysanne's poor customer service, client communication and event management leading up to and during our wedding reception was both stressful and disappointing. I'm giving them 2 stars overall to reflect that poor service. I have many examples but here are just a few- they changed the contract and increased our price a week before the wedding, they did not deliver the guest table set up they agreed to do, they forgot to serve my groom and I champagne for our toast, they were very slow to serve the meals with just 32 guests, they brought a broken chocolate fountain for our dessert which forced us to change our event timing for the evening. La Mangue Verte insists they are an experienced, premium caterer but they seem pretty scattered and unprofessional, with a lot of bugs to work out. The worst is that Lysanne was not open to hearing our feedback but instead blamed the problems on ongoing 'misunderstandings,' despite the fact that I had excellent experiences with all our other wedding vendors. To be fair, I think La Mangue Verte deserves 5 stars for the food quality and 1 star for poor service, which averages to 3 stars. Wonderful from start to finish. Large buffet stations with hot trays and cold items. Shrimp, scallops, sliders, confit, steak, noodles, croquettes, the variety was endless and everything was scrumptious. Second of all, let me talk about the incredibly creative presentation. Sushi served in small metal shelves attached to a wall of glass. Red takeout containers (like you get from a Chinese restaurant) filled with sliced steak and soba noodles, tiny plates with sliders and open sandwiches, spoons filled with a bite of goodness, soup served in test tubes, skewers of smoked salmon, scallops and shrimp impaled on a metal tower -making it look like some sort of alien Christmas tree, gorgeous little crème brulees , and tiny candy apples, beautiful fruit and cheese platters. At the end of the night they gave out small bags of kettle corn. The food was elegantly presented, and was delicious. A successful merging of art and food and service. Tres Bon !!

Turned out there was a location downstairs right next to the lobby of our hotel, which is the Levis branch. As of 2026, there are apparently 6 branches in Quebec City and one in Montreal. The cocktails were great. 5/5. But not everything on the menu was equally good. My wife's French Onion soup was 5/5 easily, though I don't often eat that dish. My escargot was tasty but basically the usual canned escargot and the tomao sauce on the bread was too sweet - sort of an Ontario pizza sauce style. 3.5/5. I ordered steak frites and while the steak was edible it was overcooked medium to medium well. I could have cooked the steak better. Fries were lukewarm for both me and my wife which is sort of a sin in my book. The wife got chopped chicken on toasted bread with some sort of gravy. Her dish was not good. Bread tasted kinda weird as did the gravy though edible. Neither of us ate the chicken which tasted kind of old. Creme brulee for dessert was good. Except for the chicken my wife and I ate everything. Would I come back here for a brunch to try their work at a different meal Yes. Would I try a different branch if I was in Quebec City. Yes.
