This experience is EXTRAORDINARY! First off, if you absolutely can't deal with extreme cold, this is not for you. But if you think you can, its a singular experience. We came from Florida basically just for this and was the coldest weekend on record in Quebec since 1977. So you know, when you book at the ice hotel, you also get a regular room at a traditional hotel on the same grounds so you can shower, leave your stuff etc. So we checked in late afternoon and they allow people go tour the grounds whether you are staying there or not. So we toured the hotel de glace before we went in to stay. The makeup of it all is remarkable. There were ice carving art everywhere. Its like staying in an art exhibit. There was an ice slide you can go down. There is an ice bar to get a drink served in a glass made of ice that is complimentary if your a guest. There are ice tables and benches to sit at or on. Each room has different ice art carved into the walls. All the carvimgs are nothing short of spectacular. Your room at the ice hotel is ready after 9pm. They suggest you put on your bathing suit, sandals and a robe they provide you to go to the hotel hot tubs and saunas. Which we thought was crazy. And we were right! But it's just a few minutes in the bitter cold and makes for great pics. Jump in the hot tub and warm up. Run to the sauna as well. When we got to our ice hotel room you climb in a sleeoing bag and cuddle up fir the night. We took a water bottle to put alongside the bed and when we woke up it was frozen solid! Lol. We were pretty warm in the sleeping bags but my toes were cold. Its been said that people tend to leave the hotel due to being too warm. I dont know about all that. But it wasnt too terribly cold. Its kinda hard to get to sleep. So much going on. But finally dozed off. Woke up. Threw our clothes on and we took off. Fantastic, experience. Lile no other! Allez, allez, allez!

I'm not the kind of person that would want to stay the night in a igloo. However the idea of it is pretty darn cool! So I was kinda curious what the experience was like. So I decided to pay the $30 visitor fee and just tour the ice hotel. There lots to do in this venue but I'm just only going to focus on the ice hotel. Parking was a little hard to find as there was a lot of people that day. Parking is free btw. Its like a maze in the hotel, there's so many different rooms with so many different themes. Wayyy too many for me to list out. There a mini ice slide for the kids and I even seen a few adult slide down it too. They have a chapel in here too if you want to hold a wedding here. The bar was pretty neat. I got a cool sex on the ice in a cup made of ice. I spent around 3 hours here because it was super cold that day and we needed to go back into the resort to stay warm. It's really hard to imagine staying the night, its really cold! No joke!

Amazing stay! We did one night of ice camping and then 3 more days in the hotel itself. The night in the ice room was surprisingly comfortable! Yes it got extremely cold (-5 degrees Fahrenheit) but the sleeping bags were rated for -22f so once in the sleeping bag and after it had time to get some of the body heat it was actually quite cozy! The sledding was a blast! They have options for day time as well as night tubing! Which closes at 8pm so plenty of time to do down all the different hills/slides. I would absolutely suggested coming here to everyone! This is a bucket list stay and I was happy with everything I experienced here!

We took a bus from the Frontenac to the Ice Hotel in early January 2023 and it was epic. The hotel wasn't completely finished but it was very neat to see and I'm so glad we took on this last minute excursion from downtown Quebec. Definitely recommend. Drinks are pricey at the ice bar for how little drink you get but it's all about the experience and served in a little ice block! Such a fun experience.

The one and only ice hotel in Canada is in Quebec, while the season just ended, there's always next year! It's a 30 minute from Quebec City, and definitely worth a visit if you're in town. Cocktails in ice glass is a fun experience, drinks are pretty standard. However, you have to see the ice carvings and rooms in person to appreciate the artists and staff behind the scenes. Also it's just so damn COOL!

Very unique hotel with the ice sculptures and many different varieties of ice carvings. It's super cool and it's a piece of art. It's only open during the winter and also has Aroma spa and an indoor water park as well as snow tubing. It's a great place for the family. It's beautiful and is a winter wonderland! While at the Hotel the Aroma Spa is a place to check out- $C 35 admission before 5pm and $C25 after 5pm. Take a dip and relax. It was a very nice experience! Place was very clean.

We took a bus tour to see Hotel de Glace and it did not disappoint. Bruno, our tour guide at 10:15 am, gave us a great history on how the hotel was built and a tour through the chapel and main hotel. He was very knowledgeable and he took time to answer all of our questions. If you are in Quebec City during the winter, take time to visit this marvel. It is connected to a snow park and indoor water park (Bora Parc). Even if you don't stay at the hotel, learning about this marvel is amazing. A bus tour runs about $40 CAN. Only complaint is we didn't have enough tome for a drink at the ice bar.

Unique immersive experience. Fun for all ages! Wow! Just a great way to spend your day. Take the time to take a guided tour and really appreciate the effort and talent of those who made this ice hotel (tours available in English and French). The bar serves tasty drinks, some available in a glass made of ice. My "s** on the ice" drink was really refreshing. I'd recommend getting the pass that includes a drink to save a little $$$. If you arrive during the day there is tubing on-site. Inside the ice hotel is a small slide of ice. You can go into the regular hotel to heat up as needed with unlimited daily re-entry into the ice hotel. Check the closing time because you can't visit the extremely interesting unique rooms after a certain hour. I'd recommend wearing ski pants and will definitely recommend a visit to the Ice Hotel to friends and family.

Experiencing the Hotel de Glace is a once in a lifetime or bucket list trip! The ice sculptures and details are amazing. Due to Covid, the "ice bar" was closed and there weren't many people there which was fine with us. We spent one night in the ice hotel and 3 in the Hotel Valcartier which is part of the whole resort. We were able to wander around the Hotel de Glace by ourselves, looking in the various rooms, there was a maze, slide, chapel, bar, etc. You are given mummy bags with a liner to get in before getting into the mummy bag (we were given instructions on what to wear while sleeping, how to prepare the mummy bag, all the details one would need). We were warm the entire night! If you are in the area or want to plan a winter trip, this is definitely worth it!

Omg I had only seen this place on TV. I would've never pictured visiting, but we did! The whole place it's made out of ice ... beds, couches, chairs, sculptures even the bar and the shot glasses are made out of glass!!!! Yes!! It was beautiful at night CSU's of the lights. They have private tours but there's really no need to pay extra for that. It's amazing... if you come to Quebec, this is a MUST!!!! Come visit!!

Had such a awesome time here! Make sure you go up two times on the way up the tube shoot, we almost missed the whole other side of slopes!

Words can't describe the ice hotel. It is magically beautiful! It was 2 degrees when I went there but I felt like a kid in Disney World.Definitely a once in a lifetime experience that everyone should have on their bucket list.An experience that I will never forget. J'aime Quebec!

Wow Definitely A Must See We had heard a lot about the Ice Hotel so planned our trip during the open time. We did not stay here, just bought the day tour trip including a ice glass drink in the bar. Spent about two hours touring strolling through the hotel. Just amazing designs carved into the walls. Even a small fireplace. Finished our visit setting on a ice bench in the bar drinking a delicious drink from a glass made solely of ice.

The Chateau is an architectural gem. It is well worth your time to walk around the perimeter of this gorgeous building -- you won't be bored. The tour guide explained that the Chateau is a 5 Star hotel and everything must be perfect. Once inside, I saw chandeliers and window ledges caked with white dust. The "grand ballroom" reminded me of my high school all purpose room. We were warned not to touch anything because the grand ballroom was being prepared for an Easter Brunch. Two of the tablecloths covering the round guest tables had strange, yellow spots on them. If I return to Quebec in the future, I will stay at the Hilton which has a fabulous buffet breakfast that is reasonably priced and an equally fabulous view looking down on the Chateau and the old city.

We should have realized these snacks would be mini bar pricing even though he handed them to us from the reception desk. $26 of chips and pretzels showed up on the bill! Our mistake. This is a 125 hotel all day long except for its 15 minutes walking distance to the Frontenac Hotel which is about the same price right now. Don't get me wrong everything is insanely overpriced around here. This is Manhattan pricing. I think the whole thing is completely not worth it. The Frontenac is beautiful on the outside, but there's nothing really going on the inside and it's just surrounded by overpriced, mostly lousy, tourist trap restaurants. I would spend a day here that's it there's not much else to do if you are active. Overall, I'm very disappointed at the hotel and the area in my opinion was a complete rip off. The area was nice by the Frontenac, but all of the tourist trap restaurants and T-shirt and sweatshirt gift shops just ruined it for me. Decent walking if you are into hilly areas, pretty to see once but more of a one and done after a day. All of the videos I watched on this place and the area I feel deceived. It was not that interesting at all and not worth it in my opinion. I'm bummed out it was a waste of a lot of money and a lot of time getting there for a crappy hotel and a lot of bad food and average coffee at unfriendly coffee shops. By the way this hotel has no lobby coffee, no water or snacks whatsoever. Some nights are 500 even $600 a night here. As much as I hate Holiday Inn expresses they are far better than this hotel. This is just a basic no frills place and you can't even adjust the room thermostat. Apparently it's controlled by management so you have limited access if at all some evenings it was shut off completely. This should be illegal at this price range. Again you need your head examined if you pay this price here. I only did because I was deceived by overhyped reviews. A lot of hotels in area are same price but from the little I saw of them they appeared to have a more luxury vibe compared to this low end b&b type vibe here. Oh and by the way, they gave me parking passes for a lot across the street. I displayed all of them in my windshield and I was still given a ticket by a cop in this parking lot that was $92 found on my windshield. If I say I'll never be coming back it would be too soon.
