I came…read morehere after a night out with my friend, so needless to say we were very happy to stumble across a place that has so many options! We were very hungry so we got a few different things each. The service at first was very slow and disorderly, as they have to weigh and price most things individually (using a lot of styrofoam), but for a middle-of-the-night snack, it hit the spot! Some of the sweets I got were a bit stale, or perhaps the texture just wasn't what I was expecting. But the pão de queijo was good! It wasn't too expensive for everything that we got. There wasn't much competition for the middle of the night, so I would probably return here, and I would recommend this place to others.

Either too sweet, lacked a variance in texture or flavor, or just downright unappealing. Wide variety of cakes to choose from and can order by the slice or by the whole. Great place to stop by after eating at the other nearby restaurants. The coffee is good as well but quite small. The small/pequeno is equivalent to a demitasse cup (1 shot of espresso) whereas the grande is probably a 5oz cup. I'd definitely recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a coffee pick me up or European quality cakes.

The interior is lovely with colorful decor and a comfortable ambiance, along with a chill, casual atmosphere. We were served complimentary boiled peanuts in the shell, and these were simply addicting! I thought it was a bit strange that there was no steak on the menu, given that we are in Brazil, but I learned this place specializes in Northeastern Brazilian cuisine, so perhaps steak is not so common in that particular region. Since I know I wanted to try authentic coconut shrimp soup, I decided to order that. This dish came with coconut rice and farro (a yellow, fine grainy substance, which was pretty tasty when mixed with the rice and soup.) In the soup, there were a ton of shrimp, which were delightfully tender, and succulent. The soup was full of flavor with plenty of yummy seasoning. The rice was nice and fluffy, but didn't have much coconut taste. I was able to try a bit of one of the nutty tapioca desserts. It was really unique with a chewy consistency, sweet, as well as light. There was a mouthwatering caramely sauce accompanying it. Service was wonderful throughout. We were well taken care of during our meal.

Yelp Review 2025 #177:…read more I was going to a more popular cafe a minute away from Casa Cave but they don't open til 11am so, I was going to pre-game here. There was a line with 5 people ahead of me but since I was dining solo, I got to skip the line and the doorman let me go in and hands me a card to take to the cashier. But not knowing Portuguese and them not knowing English, it was confusing. I got a table but it hasn't been cleaned yet but I sat my bag down while looking at the food display. I went up to the counter with the older lady cashiers and placed my order and paid. What I ordered were readily available and don't require cooking but I only received one item. So, I pulled out Google Translate to let them know I was missing parts of my order and only received one item. A few minutes later, I got everything I ordered. And you know when people are talking about you in a different language? That was the vibe I got here. Pastel de Nata: They got an award for their pastel de nata so, my expectations were pretty high. It was ok. They could've warmed it up before serving and offered sugar and cinnamon but nope. I've had better. 3/5 Passionfruit Juice: It tasted fresh. A nice balance of tart and sweet. 4/5 Bolinho de Bacalhau: Fried cod fritter. Tasty, crunchy on the outside. 3.5/5 Coxinha: I love this stuff. It's one of my favorite Brazilian food. Like a fried croquette shaped like a teardrop filled with chicken and cream cheese. 4/5 There's a review site that claims this place is cash only - not true. But I got cash with me when I went here.
