I have first came across this marvelous ice-cream place in São Paulo in the lovely neighbourhood called Moema. It all starts with a lovely presentation. All their shops are beautiful. It is not different with the one at shopping Leblon. Another fact that does not differ is that most of the times there will be queues. Do not worry, as it will be worth every minute of wait. They do not take too long anyway. You can almost taste the origins of the recipes from Italy, which were brought by an Italian that visited São Paulo and realised there were no proper ice-cream place there. It really tastes above average being worth every penny. I would recommend mainly cremino flavour (baciodilatte which is sort of a fancy vanilla sandwiched between two layers of gianduia, tasting similar to Nutella) and nutellina (baciodilatte with Nutella flakes). I would also recommend nocciola tonda gentile, if you are a fan of hazelnut, which in this case is brought from Piemonte, Italy. They are not getting acknowledgments in São Paulo by chance. Competition there is even higher, they at a place you need to visit if you fancy a top end ice-cream. A final suggestion: if you can keep your freezer at -11°C, I encourage you to buy it to take away (it would come out a way better cost benefit). It is also a nice present to give away. Box comes with a beautiful lace and the bag is lovely. read more
