First time coming here and definitely not the last. The baristas were friendly! I ordered the Iced Caramel Macchiato. It was delicious! I was happy that I could actually taste a balanced flavor between the espresso and caramel. I really love the ambience in this cafe. I enjoyed doing my work here. The only thing I've noticed is that the music was a little loud but it didn't really bother me since I had headphones on but for some people, they might mind it. A sweet little bakery with beautiful and inviting decor. They are in a small plaza next to an animal hospital and pet boarding center. I came here with my mom and grandmother after grocery shopping in the area. I appreciated the enforcement of social distancing and due diligence of the staff to keep the common areas manageable and clean. All pastries and bakery items are available to the left of the store upon entry. Most items are self serviced and to be paid at the counter being sitting down. They had a great selection of sweet and savory items. The drink menu was coffee heavy. **note: it's really hard to read the print in their electronic menu, especially with a large line of patrons behind you. The one cold milk tea item I wanted from their menu was not available so I opted for an iced passionfruit/mango tea which was a bit too tart for my liking. Also a mocha latte. (no complaints here) The pastries I got to share were: almond croissant coffee creme bread Our total was ~$24.00 Over all I really enjoyed the items and so did my grandma who isn't a fan of overly sweet pastries, so thumbs up for her approval. read more

A cute and aesthetically pleasing spot, I was surprised by how spacious the establishment was when we first arrived. Everything inside is bright as large windows allow for natural lighting to come in. The decor somehow reminds me of a tea parlor that would've been in the Titanic. Unlike other korean bakery, this place advertises daily fresh made bread made with high quality ingredients. This seems true as I've watched the owner coming and going from the back with new bread to restock every once in a while. I've noticed some breads are more commonly made than others, while some I've only seen once and I've never seen again. It could be just that I'm not coming to this place as freqently as others, but the options that are there are always great. A downside that I wish they would allow is you to warm up your bread somewhere if you happened to be dining in? Or if they would offer to toast up some of the bread. They had savory options like a mushroom baguette, bbq chicken baguette, and the crab baguette. While they were all very good, every bite I had while we were waiting for our drinks was cold. It seems best to just take these home and pop them in the microwave. Drinks seem pretty good and the coffee is strong. Personally didn't care for the mojito I had last time and the mocha latte was a little too sweet for me to fully enjoy. But the coffee did it's job of keeping me awake for the rest of the day. Workers were friendly, most seem to be able to speak korean and english so there wasn't an issue talking to them. Overall this seems like a cute spot to study, for hang outs, and cafe dates. This place is going to be loved by women b/c of its design. If you dine in, the mugs are very antique style. It screams elegance and Titanic. The interior is overall designed with a modern yet elegant look with extensive usage of marble. There are lots of marble topped tables that can seat about 30. Their bread selection was decent but not as good as other comparable Korean bakeries like Paris Baguette (which I believe has the widest selection) or Vincent cafe. Confections didn't have cakes at least when I was there and they don't have the sweet baked goods like other places. If you're looking for those your selection will be limited. If you want slightly sweet breads this place will be fine. The prices were average except a few items like they were $1-2 more than comparable bakeries. The workers were friendly and helpful although it seemed like the grand opening bug was hovering over them e.g., delayed orders but those issued get worked out within 3 months or so. It's a great sit down place to chat whenever we can freely do that again. I recommend this cafe. read more

Love it! Workers are sweet, welcoming and helpful. I love going during the evening hours to get some work done while its not so crowded. Great atmosphere and really good savory and sweet options. I specifically love the mushroom on the savory side and the buttered croissants on the sweet side. Comfortable open space with high ceilings give it a nice feel and the staff is always super friendly. The hot teas are great and even the water has a hint of rosemary which shows to me how special every part of the things the prepare are to them. My only complaint is that the coffee is mediocre at best as espresso, coffee and cold brew. I love the fact they even have a transitional cold brew and a pour over but the beans they are use are nothing fancy and it's a shame because everything else about this place screams fancy. I hope they hear that feedback from others too because I would love to have another good coffee spot to go with all of the other great things about this spot. read more

Cute bakery and cafe. I just cannot stand that the buns/pastries are placed out like that. I've seen with my own eyes kids and even adults pick them up and put them back and not to mention the guy next to me sneezed and I'm sure that went everywhere. They should wrap them like sweet hut and other Korean bakeries do. If I'm paying $6 for my pastries it better not be contaminated. Cakes are pretty expensive, we had the fresh cream one. Nothing exciting or different from the other bakeries, except cost more. Staff weren't that friendly either. You have to talk to them first before they talk to you. read more

This is the perfect place to study, hangout with friends/family, and to simply relax with amazing coffee, baked goods, or their huge delicious sandwiches! I came here with a few friends to get breakfast before a big exam. It wasn't too busy because it was 10 am on a wednesday, so service was quick and friendly. I got the honey gorgonzola croissant to eat there and it was so tasty that I'm still thinking about it over 24 hours later! My friends got the three mushrooms baguette, the almond croffle, and the egg and bacon. There was not a single complaint, and all of us had a very tasty and enjoyable breakfast in a beautiful cafe before heading to our exam and failing it :) We also got some stuff to go for a friend and she loved it! I enjoy coming here, they have lots of different options to choose from for drinks and pastries. It can definitely get crowded so I avoid coming during the weekend. I like that there's lots of seating inside which is nice since a lot of shops in the area are small and don't have enough seats which can be frustrating. Confections offers a great selection of pastries, breads, and drinks, and is a great place to study as well. The service is pretty satisfactory: the workers (mostly high school students) are nice and make sure to remind customers of closing times. The fresh ambiance provided from the plants and wall art and open space filled with a varied seat selection make a really great meeting and study location. I'm not the biggest fan of the music in the background (usually cafe jazzy instrumentals) but most find it pleasant. The food selection itself is kind of expensive, and worth it depending on what you get. I like to get the teas hot in a teapot so that I have a good amount that I can refill a teacup with (~$4-5). My favorites among the foods are the croissant (kinda pricey at $4), chicken toast, sweet corn bread, and carrot cake ($7 but soo worth it, it was not too sweet and light). I didn't really like the chestnut manju bread or the orange ginger tea. Overall, the breads and pastries are really high quality and I would recommend stopping by this place! read more
