Absolutely THE BEST hotdogs I've have in my life...EVER! Owner was on site. staff was pleasant and helpful. The smells when you walk in will make you hungry, if you weren't already. The Chicago dog was my absolute favorite! Toppings so freaking fresh, and whatever they use to pickle their veggies, including the little peppers is nothing like I've tasted. Oh my gosh, SO GOOD!!! I also had a coney, and the meat chili was perfectly seasoned. Not like someone threw some Ortega taco seasoning on it, and you wonder what's in there. this was legit seasoned with their own blend. so simple and good! The baklava was also great, and a nice treat. Simple place, amazing food! I've been around and had my share of great hotdogs, but these were the best ever.

The menu hasn't changed in 50 years, still incredible. So last night I ordered a gyro. I'd never had theirs before. WOW. I've had gyros everywhere and I have to say I believe that theirs is the best one I've had. This place surprised me. I'm going back as soon as they open to order a few for the refrigerator. Stellar.

Pretty nice spot overall. Just got a burger and my colleague got a hotdog. My burger was nice and juicy and my friend nearly inhaled the hotdog. Great spot to have a quick bite. Staff was very friendly and polite. Socially distanced dining is enforced. So it's comforting to know that and feel safe.

This Coney was a mix of fast food and casual dining which made it a perfect late night stop for a snack. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. Possibly too relaxed. One of the reasons that it garners only three stars, was that the staff did not inform us as to how receive service. There's both dining and a counter at which to order. However, we stood there dumbly waiting to be seated. After a few minutes, they finally asked to be seated and they said "would you like to order first?" It was a small inconvenience but it was awkward. All that aside, the Gyros that we ordered were A+. Lamb is one of my favorite meats, and they cooked it well, juicy, but still charred on the edges. They are VERY generous with the portion. One sandwich will do. I think that fries would have been overboard. All in all, it's a great place to have in your back pocket as a late night snack when everywhere else is closed. Good food. Fast. Yummy.

Perfect gyros, tasty hot dogs, yummy fries. (A brief note for non-Michiganders: A Coney Island hot dog is a Michigan-style chili dog, served with onions and mustard. They have nothing to do with the neighborhood in Brooklyn.) This place does a perfectly respectable coney dog. They've recently added a "New York dog" to the menu, with sauteed onion, sauerkraut, and mustard, and it's pretty darn tasty, too. The gyros here are the ones against which I judge all others. They're careful to let the meat get a nice crispy, sizzly finish on the spit before carving it. Topped with tzatziki, tomato, and a generous helping of onions, they leave you with a kickin' case of onion breath, in the best way possible. I've had their Greek salads a few times, and found them surprisingly tasty and fresh for a hot dog joint. If you're craving fast food, skip the drive-thru chain places and stop by here for some authentic Michigan grub.

Presentation - 10/10 Taste & Flavor - 10/10 When getting food here you can get a good variety of spicy and savory especially when it comes to their burgers their drinks are made with much care. Nothing is too overpowering Portion Size - 10/10 I have a very small stomach so things tend to fill me up regardless however my husband is an endless pit and the burger seemed to fill him up for the time being. Value for your money? I would say you get a good value and a full meal for the price you're going to pay You get good service especially on a Sunday when there's only a very few people in there and you're just trying to relax. ‍ Service - 10/10 The service in overall 10 out of 10 The bartender was extremely friendly kept a decent conversation going & greeted us when we entered, most of the staff is college students so you know they're working hard when it comes to both school and being servers. Overall Rating: 10/10 Final Verdict: The Old goat tavern is by far place I would return to especially for a quick bite and something that's going to kill me up for a cheap price. It's good for a night out on the town or just drinks with friends they have a wide variety of drinks and drafts and a good burger. We chose Brick and Brine to celebrate a very special Anniversary!…read more Brick and Brine provided us with an absolutely phenomenal dining experience!! Our dinner stretched out over a nearly 3 hour time period, but felt like it flew by at the same time! Never rushed, but intentional and SO enjoyed!! Our waiter was fabulous and made sure that our every need (and want!) was met. He went over and above for us and we loved every moment!! I wish I had gotten his name to mention here! We started our evening browsing the cocktail menu. The offerings are vast! We ordered two different kinds of old fashioned options, always a favorite! One had very unique twist and arrived on fire/smoking! The drink continued to have a smoke effect, but this did not highly alter the flavor! It was delicious and fun! "It adds drama" is how our waiter put it, and he was right! :) It was called "Fire House No. 4". Next we perused the appetizer section. The choices were excellent and we landed on the meatballs, going off of recommendations and previous experience! For meatballs, they were indeed quite delicious but if I'm being completely honest I don't think I'd choose them again. I would venture out a little more. The scallops came highly recommended by our waiter. Also highly recommended was the steak tartare! After our appetizer we ordered a wedge salad. This was wonderful! It mimics what you'd traditionally expect from a wedge salad - this one served with multiple small wedges of iceberg lettuce - but the toppings elevate so nicely! Bleu cheese, the most delicious marinated tomatoes, pickled red onions, and the best, most flavorful chunks of bacon! This was a favorite!! It was finally time to decide on entrees. This was tough! There are many choices I'd like to try and we will definitely be back to try some more. Because this was a special meal and we had heard very good things, both of us ordered the ribeye steak. This is a large piece of meat that arrived with mouthwatering presentation. While the flavors were most definitely evident of a quality piece of meat, I would personally not choose this exact entree again. The meat was well cooked, and done to my requested level, but arrived not very warm. I like my food hot and while I acknowledge that a fine steak presentation likely requires a rest time, my own opinion is put off when I feel like my food is in any way on the cold side. I did not complain about this - and it doesn't affect my rating, but it is worth noting and something I'd like to know when making a decision for ordering! Other entrees that I saw coming out around me that I am SO very interested in trying on a future visit were the fried chicken (WOW! The presentation on this dish is NEXT level!) and the salmon! Everything I saw coming to nearby tables looked quite stunning and I'd quite honestly like to try each dish from their menu! ;) This place is quality, it is very evident! We paired our dinner entree with two side items. The side items are large, intended to serve multiple people. We chose the crispy fingerling potatoes and the Brussels sprouts. Both were perfection! We loved them! The Brussels sprouts had SO much flavor! Even the leftovers the next day were so delectable! We finished our meal with the most exceptional dessert! It was a hard decision but we chose the Chocolate Hazelnut Flourless Torte! AMAZING! It was served with an orange creamsicle ice cream which sounds like a strange accompaniment for these flavors but it fit so very well with the dish. The hazelnut crémeux on the side was also exceptional - just a really great dessert, all around! Alongside our dessert we ordered an elevated espresso that was absolute perfection! One of THE best dessert cocktail beverages I have ever had! I highly recommend this either as your dessert or as an accompaniment! So, so good! Even though there were a couple of things during this meal that I personally would not choose to order again, everything was still superb! I can't choose any less than five very deserved stars!! This was such a great experience at a very fine, local, Kalamazoo restaurant!! Be prepared to spend some five star dollar amounts, but also be prepared to receive a five star, not just meal, but entire experience!! ;)
