They're in process of getting permitted for other Foley locations. I really enjoyed their fresh made potato chips and ended up eating lunch there. The traditional Kentucky Hot Brown was fabulous! It was fresh baked turkey over sourdough, topped with homemade Béchamel sauce, sliced tomatoes, bacon & served with more cheese browned on top & served in a pie tin. After taking two bites, I ended up ordering the Bon Secour Seafood Boil Panini as well and shared both dishes with a new found friend. The seafood boil salad (shrimp, conecuh sausage & silver king corn) was flavorful, a little spicy and delicious on toasted Gambino's bread. Chef Kevin McCarty cooked up some pretty awesome food - not the kind I would expect from a food truck at a farmers market!

But today I didn't need neither. This sandwich was so tender so flavorful in that bread. OMG yeah that bread was like the best part so soft, almost melt in your mouth with the meat. Don't get me on the barbecue sauce because the barbecue sauce will have you slapin your mama. It is so good. The only thing that I would add is a little bit more spiciness to it but that's just me I like spicy but it was absolutely perfect. Me and my whole group absolutely enjoyed our sandwich and we were highly disappointed that when the parade was over they was done because we wanted some more. The service was great. They were fast and I believe that they were very clean family and African-American operated. They have been seen on the Food Network.. This is a food truck that I've tried at Big Beach Brewery on several occasions, by occasion I mean drinking some great local beers, and everything that my honey and I have tried has been very good. They have been seen at the Hawaiian Cultural Center on Ono Island, the drive-in concert at Latitude 28 and San Bar among other locations but they're a mainstay attraction at Big Beach for sure. I've spent time talking with Jerr and we talk sailboat racing because he's a seasoned racer in Mobile Bay and sailors certainly love taking about their conquests. But when it comes to their food here's what I've learned. They only serve fresh seafood like triggerfish from Milton, FL. and fresh Gulf Shrimp and I've had both, they're outstanding. They put certified Angus beef in their burgers and source hydroponically grown Bibb lettuce and kumato tomatoes plus all their sauces and seasonings are made in-house. Those kinds of attention to detail make for a darn good burger and shows up in everything we're tried so far. Beyond their "basic burger" I've had the "black & blue" which has applewood bacon, arugula, blue cheese mayo and smoky onion jam on a locally made brioche bun. My next test taste will be the "redneck Riviera burger" which has pulled pork, applewood bacon, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce and onion strings, sounds like a winner. Now let's talk tacos, they have both shrimp and triggerfish with coleslaw, aged sharp cheddar cheese, pickled red onions and their sweet & spicy Beachin' sauce plus they have chicken, pulled pork and even a vegetarian taco. You can get all these proteins in sandwich form as well as special nacho dishes with grilled chicken, BBQ pork or Gulf shrimp that can also be had as "tachos" where they substitute nachos with tator tots. Some of the other treats are their 1/2 pound of flash fried brussel sprouts. I'm not a big brussel sprout guy but I really like those here. There's queso and salsa nachos, Wisconsin cheese curbs and delish Cajun pistols. Everything on their menu pairs quite well with the beers you find at Big Beach by the way :-) Bottom line: These guys really know their stuff, the food is fresh, tasty and hot, the guys are friendly and fun. The 3/4 pound of pulled pork ($14 by itself!) came with a single 2oz plastic ramekin of room temperature sauce. Not nearly enough, and they knew it, because an extra 2oz of store bought BBQ sauce costs an additional $2! The cole slaw was serviceable, but not worth $3. My $4 baked beans were actually room temperature cheap assed Show Boat pork and beans straight from the #10 can! A soda or bottle of water will set you back $3. Cocktails from the bar food truck COST $14 EACH! At those prices there should be a dancer on a pole.... The nachos were just cheap warehouse club boxed chips and sleaze cheese out of a #10 can with some greasy ground beef on top. Avoid this disgusting ripoff joint like the plague.
