Lamb vindaloo, garlic naan, mango juice.

The outside may not be the most extravagant but the food is great. The food was hot and extremely flavorful. Everything was brought out fresh and I would definitely eat here again!

The food was delicious and service was friendly. Our family got the Butter Chicken, Chicken Afghani, and Aloo Saag. Each came with a side of rice, and we added a side of Garlic Naan. You can set your "level of spicy" between 0 and 10. My husband, who likes spicy food, asked for level 3 and he said it was just right for him. Mine was at level 0. LOL! Everything was very tasty. Best Garlic Naan!

Curry GOAT. All gone. Damn good food. And the Kingfisher beer was fantastic

Would have missed this place if we had not been directed there for really good Indian food. A little odd from the outside but nice on the inside. The food was served piping hot and full of flavor. Everything served quickly and the wait staff was very pleasant and helpful with choices. Would return in a heartbeat to this place.

I'm totally in love with this place. So much so, that on my 3rd visit, I have already confessed to them my undying love for their exotically spiced, artfully crafted dishes. A local family owned business, the service here is phenomenal. Last visit, I walked in & the beautiful young lady that is always there says to me very cheerfully, "Hello again! You look nice." Who does that? I don't recall that ever happening to me anywhere else. I was in tore up clam diggers, t-shirt, hoodie & Gucci slides. She is just very kind & super professional. Her & her sister are both gorgeous, sweet & fun. The best combination. They play the Bollywood videos on the tv from YouTube with all the group dancing, it's a really fun casual family atmosphere. But, also romantic. A great date night spot. Most people don't realize that just recently in 2017, local historian Tom Garner confirmed the location of the oldest established European multi-year settlement in the USA. Pensacola, Florida! Yes, confirmed, the two shipwrecks out in Pensacola bay artifacts match to Don Tristan de Luna. He established his Spanish colony right here in Pirate'cola August 1559, 6 years before the St. Augustine settlement & nearly 48 years before the English settled in Jamestown, Va. Anyway, my point is, there are so many old beachside shanty buildings around Pirate'cola that have so much character & are so Piratey cool. Arrr! Dinner India is one of our coolest Pirate'cola beach town restaurants. The building, the colors, it's a very neat little colorful beach side shanty that exudes that beach side simple casual comfort & is run by the sweetest Nepalese family ever, that makes the most sublime Nepalese food. A truly unique experience. It hits you in all the senses. When you drive up, you can smell all the exotic spices in the air... The only other place I have found that has food anywhere near as good as this is the Neplease place in OKC that's in the gas station & this place shames that place. I can't get enough! I have to talk myself out of coming here all the time!!! She knows, I told you I told her all of this & already confessed my love to them for their Malai Kofta!!! LOL :)... Every. Single. Dish! Every single dish we have tried & tried multiple times, has been amazeballs. I can't even pick two faves now. I have to pick 3! And I can't even eat 3. What a horrible conundrum! Lol The lamb dishes are 2.die.4! All of them! I have to say the lamb vindaloo is my fave & then the SAAG lamb. The lamb is always cooked perfectly. The Malai Kofta (paneer vegetable dumpling) they make is out of this world delicious. It's a work of art. You haven't lived till you try their Malai Kofta. The eggplant & okra are also excellent. The SAAG Chicken is WOZA! When it gets cold out, I love a good curry & all of them are so YUM! The lamb curry is as fabulous as the shrimp curry & the fish curry is made with swordfish! We also had the little fried chickpea dumplings that is also made with swordfish! 2.die.4! Most importantly, they do spicy right! I like spicy, it's very good for you. Lots of fresh ground whole spices & cooking with whole spices has many health benefits. Fact: People who eat spicy food live longer. They cook with whole spices! Yay! I find whole Cloves, whole cardamoms in all my dishes & I LOVE that! All that ginger & turmeric! (Another super food that fights cancer) And the raita?! Ohmygosh!!! Hubby & I make raita all the time we love it, we have it everywhere we go. Never, ever, have we ever had it as good as theirs! Yes, we told her. She knows! Their raita is expertly crafted with all kinds of yummy stuff in it! Don't worry. I'm trying to get her to tell me what all is in it! Hahaha hahaha... And please don't forget to try their puri (ballon bread) & papadum! Just like everything else, it is all perfectly artisan crafted, by authentic Nepalese food goddesses. Namasté Go NOW!

The food at Dinner India was delicious! I ordered a lamb biryani. It was so flavorful. I ordered a spice level of three and it was quite spicy. I'll probably go in lower next time. The lamb was so tender. My daughter had egg fried rice. We also had the garlic naan.

Naan, rice, chicken saag, and chicken tikka masala. Forgot to take a picture when they first brought it out because we dug right in.

Delicious! Husband and I aren't from here, but we gotta try Indian food wherever we go. This place is so good! Not only is the customer service excellent, but the food is incredible. We ordered the vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala, chicken saag, raita, and regular naan. Chicken tikka masala: this curry was less sweet than other places I've tried with the same dish, which honestly, I liked better. Chicken saag: this one... was amazing. Out of all the places I've tried, this chicken saag is my absolute favorite. Sad we don't live here! Vegetable samosas: these were spiced so well and went great with the chutney. The food was super hot and fresh when we received it. Zero complaints from us, except that this place is not where we live!

Alright--"Taste of India"... where do I even start?…read more If you already love Indian food, you won't be disappointed. And if you've never tried it before, this is absolutely a place to start. One big misconception is that everything is super spicy--that's not the case at all. The flavors are rich and layered, and if you do want heat, they're more than happy to turn it up for you. When you go, take a minute to ask what's on special and have them explain some of the dishes. It makes a huge difference. Not everything is the same, and trying different options is part of the experience--you'll enjoy your meal a lot more if you lean into that. I've been both during the day and at night. If you go during the day, hit the buffet--it's the best way to sample a wide variety of dishes and figure out what you like. At night, ask your server for recommendations--they'll steer you in the right direction based on your taste. Some of my personal favorites? The Tandoori Chicken, Lamb Chops, and honestly anything with goat. If you want a standout, try the Amritsari Mutton Rara--it's a big favorite of mine. There's a lot more on the menu than I can list here, so check out their website and take your time looking it over before you go. And when you stop in, tell them the old biker dude--"1/2 Time" or "Phatt Panda"--sent you. It won't get me anything, but they'll know I meant it when I said I'd come back and leave an honest review.

We ordered dahi puri (too sweet), masala dosa, poori masala, vada sambar, onion dosa, and paneer biryani. The peanut chutney and sambar that came with the dosas and vada were not good, and there was no coconut chutney at all--which is typically a standard accompaniment for South Indian dishes. The aloo masala in the poori combo was completely off. Instead of the usual yellow potato masala with small chunks, it was a brown, overly spiced curry. The masala inside the masala dosa was also very different from what you would expect at a South Indian restaurant. Service was equally disappointing. The vada, which was supposed to be a starter, was brought out at the very end of the meal. On top of that, each person's dish came out one at a time instead of together. This was especially frustrating considering the restaurant only had us and one other group dining--it wasn't busy. The paneer biryani was just okay, and the onion dosa was not good. Overall, the restaurant has a lot to improve, both in terms of service and in getting basic South Indian dishes right.

I ordered the dal fry, vindaloo vegetables, and pakora. The dal fry was the wateriest/soupiest dal I've ever had with absolutely no flavor. The. Vindaloo which is typically a rich red color , that is savory and tangy and spicy looked like a bland curry they just added a little vinegar too. It had none of the complexity of flavor you'd expect, was poorly salted, and tasted like they just threw in a bunch of chilly to make it spicy. The pakora was ok, though not at all crispy, more thick and doughy and soaked the bag in oil. What was most appalling was the mint chutney which was an unnatural form of green, tasted watery, and stained all the food green. I don't know what they're putting in that but when you make mint chutney with mint and cilantro and natural ingredients, it doesn't look like that and it tastes a whole lot better. Whenever I travel, I enjoy exploring local Indian restaurants, so we decided to visit Holi Indian Restaurant. On our first night, we enjoyed Chili Garlic Naan, Shyam Savera, Pindy Chana, and Rabri Gulab Jamun for dessert. The flavors were enjoyable, and we appreciated the effort put into the dishes. Our server, Roshan, was attentive, present, and a very good listener throughout the meal. At the end of dinner, he asked for honest feedback about the food and restaurant, which I respected. I shared that constructive feedback is valuable because it helps businesses grow. I told him that if the feedback was taken positively and improvements continued, we would gladly come back again -- and we did. The following night, we returned with a larger group. The staff remained attentive, and the overall experience was good. I enjoyed the Hakka noodles, while others in our group were happy with dishes like lamb chops and chicken sizzlers. Since I don't eat meat myself, I can only speak for my own meal, but everyone seemed satisfied and enjoyed the evening. One small suggestion I would offer is enhancing the chai with flavors like cloves, green cardamom, or fennel to give it an even richer and more authentic touch. Small refinements like that can create a memorable experience for guests. Overall, we appreciated the hospitality, the willingness to listen, and the effort from the team. Wishing the restaurant continued success and growth. If we are back in the area in the future, we would likely visit again. Good luck, guys
